VKB are nice a little over $200 albeit doesn't have toe brakes but is completely metal construction. Don't understand the high priced plastic. I feel these are for console simmers. Great review.
I agree on the mounting holes. Yeah, most may have them, but on the bottom. Much like the vkb gladiator sticks, the mounting holes are right there on top. I like that it has adjustable width, maybe they could go a bit narrower for really small frames, but that's a good shoulder width. Not having a permanently attached cable is a big plus IMHO. You can use your own length, or get the right cable instead of having to use adapters, it's the only way to go. I don't have an x-box, I'm not much of a console person and don't do my gaming on the couch. However, I don't really like the idea of having to plug it into another controller as a pass-through, but get why it's necessary on a console.
Great review, I've had these for a year or so now on PC, I've noticed that the width setting influences the noise and friction for some reason. They would squeek at a certain position and changing the width one notch, it went away. Overall I'd say they feel good, maybe I've gotten used to to the grainyness you mentioned, and I haven't tried the other options before.
Thanks for sharing. Great for people to see some input from someone that's had them long term. Do they still work just as good as the day you got them?
I enjoy your vid. I fully agree that you should be harsh on reviewing all these hardware when the competition and availability of similar products may be better options.
i got these and after a week started to squek and feel like they were rubbing on the rails so i swapped them out and bout the winwing pedals and for a similar price winwing pedals blew them out the water i think if they didnt start to make noise and feel different after light us i would have been happy with them tho but when win wing offers a way better experince at only 50$ more i cant see why anyone should purchase these and even if they dropped price they would have to compete with vkbs offering
i have these for about 7 months now, almost everyday use. the only issue ive noticed is some stickyness while braking and turning together. they were more than i wanted to spend, and the biggest complaint i saw reading reviews was "theres others that are better" nobody actually complaining about issues. and lastly, the times were in, almost everything is shit(cost unrelated, even expensive stuff has turned to shit), so im not spending a bunch of money on anything, and if its not on amazon i dont want it.
This looks like they took the old Saitek/Logitech design and added a few extra features, but the rudder action and smoothness in that design is rubbish (I know, I had them before moving onto the massively better Virpil ACE pedals) and looks the same here. Turtle Beach should have done more research before going that route on the most important aspect. If they had done it differently, even to the cost of cutting features, say the adjustable width and got the price down a touch they could have had a winner for the entry level rudder pedals range. As it is I’d never recommend this for PC users. For consoles, well, I don’t know, there’s not a lot of choice, but then again, console flight simmers shouldn’t be surprised by that.
The bottoms broke on mine (where you push for rudder) so I had to swap em to the longer set. I'm a bit disappointed in the plastics durability but the other ones are working fine at the moment. I am wary of it happening again and will be switching to winwing if it does, but so far they have been rather nice. Super good on the fidelity side and very precise on the brakes but the plastic is the only thing making me nervous.
@@g-locmedia pc, I can also say the granularity you felt under your feet goes away within about a month of usage. I'm not sure if it's something with the manufacturing process but it is non existent on them now and I've had them for about 6 months. Honestly if it wasn't for the first set of heel plates breaking on one side I would never really consider upgrading to the winwing but if your on console, it's likely going to be the best set money can buy.
300$ 😂 I always wanted them to make a cheap throttle for their flight stick but now I’m glad that I switched to different manufacturers which provide more value. Sucks that there isn’t more choice for console simmer.
Yeah not much choice in teh mide level budget. The vkbt is more expansive when you factor in teh shipping (and someties import fees) and doesn't have toe brakes. At least Virpil and now winwing has some options but they are a bit more expansive nevertheless.
I enjoy your vid. I fully agree that you should be harsh on reviewing all these hardware when the competition and availability of similar products may be better options.
I got both the Velocity One yoke/throttle and the pedals. I have never been happier with a product.
Thanks for sharing. Great for others to see different perspectives.
Good to see an honest review. Thanks 🙏
Thanks dan.

Yes they are great for the XBOX. I've never tried the VKB. Do you like them?

Yea I think their hands will be tied in a sense with the passthrough thing on a console.

Nicely done.
nd it needs to be said - you've built an awesome rig / workplace there!
Thanks. It's a never ending project that's for sure.

Thanks. I do actually like these but the price needs to come down so it doesn't have to compete with these other options.
they are good for the price but aerosoft just started pre order for the charlie rudder pedals and im definitely in on it !
Yea the long awaited Charlie's. Looking forward to see what they are like
Managed to get some for just £100. WELL worth it!!
That's a steal
@@g-locmedia It's un-used as well. 👍
Turtle Beach have been doing amazing value for money with their flight sim gear, but these seem to be about $100 overpriced right now.
Yea, I agree with that. their current price just takes the too close to much better options.

I don't think the vkb's have toe brakes and I couldn't go without that but yea, for PC users there's slot out there.
Your winwing have zero warranty though so when they break you’re definitely out $300 plus 😂

Amazon is a great safety net if your buying online. their return process is brilliant.
Even for PC you need to have their yoke or joystick to connect it through? Or this applies for xbox only?
This is just for XBOX
Do you recommend the Virpil ACE Flight Rudder Pedals over these?
@@jlatnyc yes I do. Virpil ace are great. I have a set.

Recommend any good other rudders then for PC user and prefer toe breaks 😅
Look at the virpil or winwing offerings. I have both and love them.
300$ 😂

VKB has been a common thread on this video. I'm keen to try out their stuff
Пластмассовые изделия это не очень хорошо!
The plastic on this one is pretty good but yes it's not a match for full metal build products.

Thank you. Yea, I just like to be fair when I evaluate the options
