    I've just ordered velocity one rudder pedals on Amazon and and paid $269:US I kept them on a wish list and the price has gone as high as 289 and as low as 229 but also there are lower prices for open box and and such,thanks for your video Huddison,I go to you for reviews on peripherals and you've been spot on each time ,greatly appreciated!

    I think that these are the pedals I want. I have tried the cheap Thrustmaster ones and there are so many sticky spots that the motion is jerky no matter what I'd do. I also love the toe brakes on these. Thank you for the 1 year review, it shows that they will last.

    I bought my VelocityOne pedals from Amazon (US) in August. At the time they were normally selling for $300 and I bought them on-sale for $270. They were a replacement for my CH Pro Pedals, which I used for 20 years.
    I've been quite pleased with them, and I think I've actually flown more frequently because of the improvement, particularly since at the time I bought them I was flying the Kodiak 100 a lot.
    I just looked and it seems that they are currently available on Amazon (US), for $270.
    (sorry if this appears twice; I posted it a while ago, then I went to make an edit and it had disappeared).

    I just got them for £170 on Amazon UK! Thanks for your writeup about this. another review said that at their original price they were not worth it when some MFG Crosswind or VPC Ace was only "£50-£100 more, but if they were £200-£230 they would be great", and here we are!

    Good video yet again.... I agree with all your comments. I have been using these for about 6 months on an XBox and they really are excellent. Very smoothy and sturdy. The only thing different that I do is use the airline pedals rather than the GA pedals. As you know you get both types included. I just find with the airline pedals you don't have to keep lifting your feet up like you do with the GA pedals...... it's probably my age though, don't like to expend too much energy!!!!! Thanks again for doing the video.

    • @Huddison

      The GA config can seem a little high for many; I must try using purely the Airline pedals config to see how that suits.

    • @StevieW-Steve
      @StevieW-Steve 7 месяцев назад

      @@Huddison I think you will find them far more comfortable as you can just rest on feet on the pedal then press forward to brake. No lifting of tired old legs 😀

    It might be worth it for the honey combs here in the US. It's $300 on Amazon at the moment but it was $229 when I bought it a few months ago. Weird. Anyway, I have em, and they are friggen amazing. They are the difference in DCS between flopping a plane about and really flowing with its needs and on the edge. It's like Sim racing, first thing you get is a damn good set of pedals.

    I bought these yesterday to use with my V1 Flightstick. Unfortunately I didn’t know that they don’t come with the USB-C to USB-C 3.1 cable that’s needed to connect the Flightstick, so I haven’t been able to use them yet. Turtle Beach customer support have been superb though, and a cable is already in the post.
    The pedals are set up under my desk ready to go and they feel great. I’m really looking forward to playing with them.

      Going forward, I hope that TB package the necessary cable in with the Rudders or Flightstick for Xbox Simmers (PC Simmers need not worry about this).

    Hello Professor Huddison! Thank-you for your review. Unfortunately, I have arthritis in both feet and ankles, and cannot take advantage of the differential braking. I am currently using Logitech's rudder pedals, but have to tweek the sensitivity substantially for each GA aircraft I fly. Will the Velocity One pedals be more consistent so that I do not have to modify the sensitivity as much for flying my GA aircraft?
    I am flying on a PC.

    Do you know if these rudder pedals work with Airbus TCA Captain Pack on Xbox (not PC)? Amazon spec' infers pedals not work unless connected via Velocity One Yoke. You're suggesting Velocity One flightstick ok as that conduit to Xbox for pedals to function. But what about pedals compatibility for Airbus Captain Pack's stick & throttle quadrant, if using that Airbus flightstick instead of pedals requiring V1 stick? (I have V1 stick & Airbus TCA stick). Much appreciated, your experience. Thanks Ray

    • @Huddison
      @Huddison  7 месяцев назад +1

      For now, you'll need the V1 FS or Yoke to use the V1 Rudders on Xbox.

      @@Huddison So good of you to take time to help with that answer. Much appreciated. Thanks.
      So I take it you've not stumbled across any fix to being unable use pedals with ThrustMaster TCA Airbus Throttle & Side Stick? Such a shame.
      Because when experimenting with both V1 Stick active as well as Airbus Stick/Throttle active, it causes Xbox MSFS conflict, where throttle on Airbus & throttle on V1 stick fail to throttle accurately.
      This is reason why I won't be able to buy V1 Pedals. Because to fly Airbus, I cannot also have V1 Stick active (which is the only way for pedals to communicate, via switched off V1 Stick).
      If you stumble across any fixes, grateful, as would love to buy V1 pedals.

    • @raybailey3475
      @raybailey3475 7 месяцев назад +2

      @@Huddison That would be a great topic. Especially as Xbox users are constrained by controller restrictions not always encountered on PC. Example the exciting Honeycomb product range, eg their throttle quadrant doesn't illuminate switch lights on Xbox but does on PC. Xbox limitations not always clearly advertised before buying peripherals.
      Hence, anxieties buying blindly, such as V1 Pedals that may or not work on Xbox when other peripherals connnected.
      You do such a good job on your Channel, that this woukd be an amazing Xbox focused topic.
      I'm 70 and should know better 🤣 buying my first Console a few weeks ago and so a newbie to FlightSim, wanting it to become a passion in retirement. Thankfully I'm very PC literate & tech' savvy. I'm wanting to literally learn to fly and become absorbed.
