    These are brilliant for Helis and fine for jets (where you really only use rudders on the ground). I am a WW2 tragic and would have loved a TM Pendular or a Virpil but I have a Next level GT Track rig which is too narrow for these so I got the VKB's and I have been very happy with them. I got round the no toe brake problem with the VKB stick (highly recommended) with the twist grip. Also add some extra spring tension with some bungy cord connected to the outside of the pedals.

      @simcoe8157 Год назад

      Nice. The bungy cord solution is a great idea. Will probably do that myself as well.

    Such a cool rudder pedal, easy to use!

    My issue with the T rudder ia mostly just how flat it is. I underatand it is intentional, but an incline bracket option of 15-20 degrees would be appreciated.
    As it is now i may whip something up out of 2x6

      Pull them closer to you, it makes it easy more comfortable. I will eventually mount them on my flight chair as I build it out. Maybe I'll incline them a bit then?

    Nicely packaged info, as always, my friend. Looks to be a nice bday present for myself next month. And sounds like a 3D-printing kit could serve this unit well, including some end caps to plug the two body case holes at the front and back. Cheers!

    I've added toe brakes to mine, you can have the stl if you want. I also addded a adjustable damper for a more realistic heli rudder feel.

    • @FalconsLedge
      @FalconsLedge  Год назад +1

      I added the damper, but I would LOVE to get the toe brakes STL and I'm happy to do a review of it. Please contact me on Discord (link in the description) or look me up on any of the discord servers listed in the description.

      @Falcons Ledge any news about toe brake mod?

      @@sinatragede I haven't heard from @joecolfs yet, and have not really started on my design though I have been thinking about how I want to do it.
      I will definitely post about it later this year.

    For the price they are good. However, they are flat and almost need to be mounted in a pit that can accommodate an incline. Mounting into a simpit is not easy and you will have to find a way to do it. Next - and what really turned me off to these, is that after about 6 months, the board inside the pedals started acting funky. It would constantly lose connection and the VKB software is absolute garbage. I would spend HOURS trying to get them reconnected just due to poor software. (After all new cables and a new blackbox) Now that Winwing just came out with theirs - I upgraded to them and wish I would’ve just spent the money in the beginning on the TPR or Crosswind. The Winwings are amazing BTW.

    • @FalconsLedge
      @FalconsLedge  7 месяцев назад

      I've not had the same experience with mine, being kept in a very dusty environment on the floor, the only failure being a cable and that was my fault. I also saw no need to mount them, particularly when being used in an office chair (this is their intended use case by the way). For a cockpit their style of movement is far from ideal.

    • @FoxHole345
      @FoxHole345 7 месяцев назад

      @@FalconsLedge I would agree that they are not good for cockpit use. On the floor, I can imagine them being much better.

    I think my full setup will include the following: A warthog throttle (already have it) a VKB gladiator and these pedals, do you think this will be sufficient to have a enjoyable experience with DCS?

    • @FalconsLedge
      @FalconsLedge  Год назад

      I don't see any reason why you couldn't have an enjoyable experience. I've mapped wheel brakes to one of the axis on my throttle base

    • @Jesusavesbro
      @Jesusavesbro Год назад +1

      @@FalconsLedge that’s really smart, I’ll do the same when I save up enough to get ‘em, I managed to snag a brand new warthog throttle for $130 on eBay.

    be curious to see how height you can lift the foot rests.
    resistance wise, how resistant can you make them ?

    • @FalconsLedge
      @FalconsLedge  7 месяцев назад

      Not very resistant, but you can install a damper mod (a couple of them) that help. I have new Winwing pedals on the way to test

      i have a set of Virpil WarBRD + damper on the way, but liking the look of these more... might try and get those cancelled out of the order and rather get these, they look more Heli for me... can't see Virpil cancelling the order, might have t take something else like a throttle assembly.

    really interested in this product, i have a question, since this on the floor, how about the dust or dog hair (got a labrador) that could get in the unit, could it affect the system?

    • @FalconsLedge

      If the t rudders are at the top of your price range, I absolutely do not recommend the Logitech pedals, they are horrible. I would rather not have toe brakes then deal with those piles of garbage.
