    I'm using them for almost two years now and I'm very happy with them. I really like that they don't lift the feet position like the ch product or thrustnaster tm16000 pedals.

    I have some random story about the vkb support.
    I've bought these pedals almost 2 years ago especially for Star Citizen.
    They worked perfectly. I've paused the game for about 2 months and suddenly they stopped working. Double checked everything. Looked Interwebs. Nothing helped. Finally contacted the vkb support via email/Forum.
    There was no detail we missed: Software (installed a few tools), hardware, the blackbox. Everything. 3-4 days later(trial and error) the very helpful support recommended to contact the customer service.
    I've send the billing info and about a week and some mails later a new blackbox arrived. Plugged in. All good again.
    Moral of the story: Had to get used to the trial and error support, but in the end, I've learned a ton of interesting stuff about the pedals and it's software.

    One of the best things of these pedals is how they have beeen designed to be used with office/PC chairs with wheels without any problems. Movement of the pedals is up/down, so you don't move them around just by using them, they stay where you place them. I'm a bit surprised Noobifier did not emphasize this a bit more in the videoo. People who use chairs with wheels and are looking for "non dancing around" pedals should look no further, these are perfect. Build quality is full metal, MARS sensors, VKB standard "build for life" stuff: you can throw the pedals against the floor... and you will break the floor, not the pedals.

    These are by far the most comfortable and useful pedals I have ever tried especially for a space sim. Crossing the access is very smooth with no annoying bump. Not sure if my final set up will use pedals at all for SC but if it does it will be these and probably for strafe forward/backward OR with 3.5 to adjust the new speed limiter fine tuning. I probably wont use them for roll or Yaw because ill have dual twist sticks BUT these are super smooth and accurate and don't take the same kind of force as other pedals so you definitely COULD if you wanted to and still hit shots in SC fast paced twitch dogfighting pre 3!5

    Same here, been using my VKBs for a little over three years now and they have been perfect. Very good quality and at the time I purchased them they were about the only metal heavy duty pedals available.

  • @billwiley7216

    I realize this is an older video but it is still relevant.
    I just received my VKB pedals and for the price paid am very happy with the construction quality and smoothness of these pedals for not much more money than many bigger brands are getting for their cheap plastic pedals.
    I also checked into the Virpil Warbird pedals but they were not in stock where these were and at about the same price point.
    One thing though that really sold me on these was my gaming rig is set up primarily as a racing rig and I convert it to speak of when I want to play flight games. Due to this the small footprint of these pedals and actually the up/down motion of these pedals actually are better suited to how and where I want to use them. There is a good probability even if the warbird pedals had of also been in stock I still may have bought these instead due to the above reasons alone.
    Considering I am not a pilot and will never fly an actual WW2 fighter or F 14/15 the pedals lacking toe brakes (which the Warbird series lacks as well) along with the not actually correct foot movement to control the rudder is of little concern as I still have the proper rudder control using my feet and can bind the brake controls to other buttons which makes it close enough for government work as they say.
    I will say if you are looking for rudder pedals, spend the few dollars more and get a well made metal set that will probably last forever over the cheap plastic bigger brand name offerings.
    Also this is my second purchase from VKB and both purchases the product has arrived to my door in the U.S.A from China in exactly one week from the time of pushing the buy button to unpacking my purchased product, sometimes I can order from companies that ship from the other side of my own country and the delivery time is no quicker!
    One customer that is very happy with VKB products for a mid tier level of flight sim gear!

  • @duane8620

    Absolutely, those pedals will do the job. VKB does offer "Software Solution" for a toe brake function so you have have that added. For the price (at posting) $215 USD (+shipping from China) it's a solid price for metal pedals.
    Virpils WarBird pedals are around the same price, they also DO NOT have mechanical toe brakes (no software option either). The 3 axis Virpil Ace Intercepter jumps to an addition $100... So know what you reaaaaallly want and need. Unless it's all just chump change to you, then by all means be that balla.
    Personally I'm a Virpil slut, a filthy dirty boy whose taste for these fine European controls has lead to a few... rather, many dirty looks from my wife.

    @fedearce5311 5 лет назад +1

    Thanks again for your video. I've been using these ones for about two years after my Saitek broke (no comparison, these one are 100% better).
    They are excellent, and I'm very happy with them, even though I thought that the toe brakes were a compromise, VKB offers a virtual toe brake functionality. I'm a hardcore flight sim player and after two years, I never had the need to set it up. Yeah, you'll miss them in some particular differential brake aircrafts that dont provide the ability to map an alternative, but those are rare cases.
    That said, playing with a recent firmware update, I tried to set up the toe brakes and I gave up with no success.
    Either I'm using the wrong software, the software or documentation is obsolete or I'm doing something wrong, but considering that I'm a very techy person if I'm missing something, then I'd have to say that configuring the virtual toes is extremely complicated.
    Never the less, I think these pedals are the best option out there.

    I have investigated them already. I like the obvious build quality, and the fact that it combines well with the controllers. However, as you mentioned, the lack of toe brake makes this product less desirable for me. If I am going to pay a premium price, the product must do everything I want.

    Not having toe breaks is an odd choice. Most flight sim guys are going to really want that and they are the primary market. That kills it for me. They are a lot cheaper than the best out there but are by no means cheap.

    • @gabrielgriffon9334
      @gabrielgriffon9334 4 года назад +3

      It's because they are base on helicopter pedals and you can notice that the pedals themselves move quite like toe brakes so it wouldn't be possible.

    • @JP-fs4cl
      @JP-fs4cl 4 года назад +1

      Well, according to the description on VKB's website, "virtual" toe brake functionality is configurable via software. No idea how that works with only 1 axis though. 🤷‍♂️ Build quality looks awesome and I love the minimalist design and compactness (without being so stupidly narrow like my plastic Thrustmaster's), that I'd be tempted to get these to replace my TM's, but no toe brakes is a deal breaker.

    • @sargentcheese1291
      @sargentcheese1291 4 года назад +2

      TBH they're the most comfortable pedals I have ever tried out of Crosswinds, CH, Saitek, and these. These don't have toe breaks, but aside from that they're better in every way and don't slide around at all or require you to mount them. You can just sit in a regular comfortable office chair like a herman Miller aeron and not roll around because you're pressing down instead of out/forward

    So if I have HOSAS with VKB NXTs and DON'T want to get a black box, are these plug-and-play (like the NXTs) where you can just plug it in? Or is that not an option? I'm going to check out their website and see if they have information. They look like really good pedals.
    Edit: Oh, it seems when you buy the pedals, they come with a black box. If that's the case... you just plug the pedals into the box and the box into the PC? Sounds like at that point, you might require software? I'm sure the software is fine, I just like the option of 'plug it in and do as little as possible, software wise'. Once drivers and software gets involved, it starts to have points-of-failure that CAN'T be easily remedied.

    The question becomes are the toe brakes worth the step up. Next better set of rudders are the crosswinds which are currently $337 shipped to North America without extra cams. T Rudder is $230 shipped (1 left on amazon). So is the toe brake worth $100+ to you? Most people I know say no, and get the VKB if they can, and the Crosswinds if they can't. (VKB products are often out of stock).

    • @LordBattleSmurf

      My issue isn't even cost, its comfort, practicality, and smoothness. With Crosswinds you have to push out rather than straight down and they have slightly more resistance/ center bump. With VKB T Rudder i don't need a special cockpit or contraption to keep them in place i can just sit normally in my hermen miller aeron chair and press down and they don't slide at all or make my legs tired/cramped after an hour

    Good video Noob! Imo they are the best value for money unless you really need toe brakes.
    I recently got the Thrusmaster TPR pedals and they are by far the smoothest and most accurate pedals I have ever used due to their pendular system, but it’s not a fair comparison because they are not in the same price range.
