I remember when this came out, I was still in highschool getting all hyped up about it. I went to college and graduated, got a job, and I still retain all the same hype
This came out in 2013 and I remember it like it was yesterday. Now this trailer has an added significance for me. It's not just an advert for a highly anticipated game. I've loved and lost in the time that this game has been in development. It's a reminder of how quickly life passes and how quickly moment of intense passion and apparent significance will be lost forever.
Imagine if they are actually releasing the game in 2020 but continuing to improve on it until 2077 so that it becomes literally a real life sim by then

No... it wouldn’t. I’m currently playing it with over 200+ hours on a character. The game doesn’t live up to what was promised. Not even close and even the final product is extremely flawed. With terrible RPG mechanics and a god awful AI system. For all the praise, I can confirm that there are still numerous bugs (playing Xbox Series X btw) One extremely glaring one is the audio for Televisions cutting out for news broadcasts and the occasional “driverless” cars that just spawn on highways and roads. Even in its current state. Many people would still be upset with it.

I don't see any other people complaining about the game in it's current state despite you. People love it. It gave people enough time to forget what was promised and judge the game purely on what it is, and what is is isn’t this mind blowingly technologically advanced game where every NPC has a full daily routine and different dialogue trees and whatever, it’s a pretty standard open world game with pretty standard gameplay but with one of the best worlds, characters and stories I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing trough

because this teaser is about a cyberpsycho and it wasnt touched much in the game. It was definitly originally intended to have cyberpsycho be a huge part of the game. Now you can defeat a few but thats it.

Dreams don't come true. Game was in the oven for like 6 years, and still even after that this team of professionals only managed to make good animations and good looking map. And maybe a good story but I don't like it because it makes us look like a bystander in someone else's story. And then they half assed everything else, and I don't even count glitches.

I didn't know this game existed until I heard about it in late 2019, and 7 years ago I was 8 years old back then and in elementary school at 3rd grade when this trailer first came out, and 7 years have passed already and time goes really fast, and right now I'm about to hit 11th grade (well I'm already in 11th grade at this moment) and turn 16 in two month's :D Edit 2: ok so my 16th birthday is in 10 days which won't take forever considering days go by quickly ^w^ Edit 3: Okay my birthday is in 2 days now :D

I'm over 40 hours into it on a base PS4 and it's giving me less issues than Spider-Man did (that game would cause my console to restart almost every time I played it). I believe in CDPR - the game is good. Just needs a little polish.

tbh every game that CDPR released so far(not gonna count gwent and thronebreaker) was unfinished on release, I remember that in 2007 straight after premiere first witcher was basically unplayable and impossible to beat because of gamebreaking bug, same situation with witcher 2, you couldnt even play the game cause of some DRM stuff also I remember that one of the developers admitted that they had some crazy dead line so they released it with unfinished content in the act 3 that later was added to the goty version of the game, not gonna talk about witcher 3, this game is broken till this day

Yes true. It is also a good marketing tactic. Games with a set release date have a chance of being late and therefore disappointing fans and their hype. CD Projekt eliminates that variable.
Don't forget: the only reason they CAN wait so long to release is because they've been so successful in the past. It's because they've already established their ability to make a great product that they can pool the earnings/investors they need to take so long.
Man watching this reminds me of how cool cops were supposed to be. Badass uniforms, futuristic guns, drones, flying police cars... what we got was more basic than GTA games 20 years ago.

Alec C it’s hard to believe that this is actually finally here. I remember reading about this and then looking it up. I was so hyped cause it seemed like such a cool game that was right up my alley. I thought it was going to be a short wait, like 2015-2016, but here I am, 6 years later. After playing all the CDPR games, I’m more than happy to wait longer cause I know they will deliver.if they say they need another 4 years, I’ll wait. Hard to believe this game was already in development for who knows how long. It’s inspiring how hard they worked on this and for how long they were committed to this game.

The woman in the trailer is named Melissa Rory (the characters name) you find her in a quest called “bullets” when you defend a clothing store from a psychokiller. She comes in after. She’s a MaxTac officer and has the mantis blades. You get a text from the store owner saying she killed 14 people. The woman in the trailer killed 14 people. Awesome Easter egg.
I played that quest today and immediately remembered this teaser, i had a long conversation with about killing people and the mantis blades, even offered to join MaxTac, I tried looking if she had the scar on her face

Turns out this is actually representative of the final game . It shows a cop teleporting behind someone because they committed a crime whilst their buddies shoot at her in a cluster because they don't have any path finding . The bullets aren't in slow mo, it's just the PS4 version so they're moving at 25FPS. She's actually bald at the end because she's looking at herself in the mirror.

tbh every game that CDPR released so far(not gonna count gwent and thronebreaker) was unfinished on release, I remember that in 2007 straight after premiere first witcher was basically unplayable and impossible to beat because of gamebreaking bug, same situation with witcher 2, you couldnt even play the game cause of some DRM stuff also I remember that one of the developers admitted that they had some crazy dead line so they released it with unfinished content in the act 3 that later was added to the goty version of the game, not gonna talk about witcher 3, this game is broken till this day

Yes true. It is also a good marketing tactic. Games with a set release date have a chance of being late and therefore disappointing fans and their hype. CD Projekt eliminates that variable.
Don't forget: the only reason they CAN wait so long to release is because they've been so successful in the past. It's because they've already established their ability to make a great product that they can pool the earnings/investors they need to take so long.

I thought it was going to be a short wait, like 2015-2016, but here I am, 6 years later. After playing all the CDPR games, I’m more than happy to wait longer cause I know they will deliver.if they say they need another 4 years, I’ll wait.
