- So a few years ago I did my list of what was in my opinion my ranking of every godzilla movie from worst to best and it’s been a few years we’ve had a few godzilla movies has come out since then and my opinions have changed so lets go back to a redux of the list won’t be as long more just my quick thoughts on each movie with what position I've put it in enjoy don't forget to like comment and subscribe

Just cause it’s the first one doesn’t mean it’s the best. Still a great movie of course.

I really enjoyed this video, after this video I just want to watch all Godzilla movies again and some of my opinions will probably change like with Godzilla against Mechagodzilla, when it was in my top 15 and now its in my top 3
Shin Godzilla is my favorite not many Godzilla scenes but each appearance is just so good

I thought this was a old video until I exited full screen
GVK is my #16, and even that might be too high. The main reason it's thst high is purely the Kaiju moments & some story ideas.
I briefly considered putting above the Heisei films (all except Mothra Battle For Earth) until I decided the writing & character of the Heisei series does make each of them (again apart from that 1992 film) superior to GVK.

Does anyone else see Godzilla vs. Destoroyah as kind of like the Godzilla equivalent of Logan? It obviously isn't quite as dark or violent, but it's a somber and relatively small scale conclusion compared to endings like Final Wars or Avengers: Endgame.
Small scale? The strongest opponent in Godzilla history and the consequences of Godzilla’s meltdown is global destruction. It’s the literal opposite of a small scale conclusion.

Wow, never thought I would live to see the day when a Godzilla movie existed that was far worse than GODZILLA'S REVENGE... apparently Disney and the BBC aren't the only companies driving major beloved franchise IPs into the ground! Still, nice to see you have slightly kinder thoughts for EBIRAH, HORROR OF THE DEEP... I did watch that one a lot in my childhood and still have fun with it as an adult. Also happy to see GODZILLA VS. DESTROYAH get a higher rating than before!

And see, I find the human characters in every single American film more than any Showa era film. And I find King of the Monsters far better than almost any other movie.
