Oh! Thank you! I'm going to do this Monday! I have a whole bunch of legs in the freezer! This is awesome! Much love many hugs! And the potatoes are great! I love seeing them on the shelf! Ok, you gotta show recipes!
I have water bath canned for years...but never anything that needs pressure canned....looking to invest in a pressure canner....never would have dreamed of canning raw chicken or any meat...Great video!
I have never canned any meat, but I’m excited to do this and save some room in my freezer. Please tell me how you fix your chicken then for your supper. God bless you kiddo and your channel!!
Never canned meat… (yet) however, I still heat my lids! Must be a southern thing! I’ve canned 300+ jars this summer! Waiting on the apples! Love the video Katie! Thanks for sharing!
Sounds great! After years of warming my lids......well, old habits die hard, I guess. 😂 Way to go canning so much this year! I haven't had the time and energy that I need to can but I am grateful for the dab that I have done. We, too, are looking forward to apples. I really need to make a lot of apple cider vinegar!
This looks so easy. I got a canner but can't use it on my glass top stove & my air vent is too low. So I got an Instant Pot Max specifically for the canning feature but been a little scared to use it. I finally pulled it out to cook things in but sucked up the fear & did it & discovered great results! Now to can some meats, but can only use pint size which is fine....there's only 3 of us & I think it will help cut down on waste. Anyway, thank you for showing us all the things.....Blessings
Awesome! I have recently learned of canning pints in the IP Max. So happy it works for you! I have some of those same kitchen fears. We do the best we can ❤️🏡❤️
I actually filmed a video tonight using one jar of the chicken. I address the idea of the mushiness and explain how I use it. But, essentially, yes, I do debone and use in soups, casseroles, etc. Stay tuned for a video discussing this next Monday, Lord willing. 🏡❤️
Looks easy enough. Could you make a video showing how you use them? I buy the 10 lb. bags of hind quarters when on sale but we aren't lovers of eating the legs. This would be a great way to utilize the them.
I just filmed a video tonight. I think there are pros and cons to the canned chicken this way and I explain that in the video that I filmed tonight. I hope to have it edited and available by next Monday. ❤️
I was always told that if pressure drops to stop timer, get pressure back up and the start timer again. It sounds like you are saying to start timer all over again. So, now I am confused.
My book says to start the timer over again. I understood that it had to be continual pressure. If I read anything different, I'll surely let y'all know. But, if you hear from someone you trust, then go with that as well. ❤️❤️

I do a lot of pressure canning , but I’ve never tried canning meats. Thank you Mrs. Katie for teaching all of us new ways of preserving. Lord Bless!❤️
Wonderful! 🏡❤️🏡
That's pretty cool! Must admit I am a bit scared of pressure cookers, but they sure do a good job! Thanks for sharing Katie :)

Katie! I did it! Well, sort of 🤣
Thought I had quart jars, had pints. I deboned the legs, I got 7 pints!
Thank you!
Great! Did they do okay? I have never raw-packed boneless meat without liquid? 😃
@@HeritageWaysKatie they did perfect! And look so good! I'll let you know when I use one
Is it mushy? What do you use it for? Debone and gravy?
