- In this episode I'll show you how to use the Noise Modifier in Blender. It's an excellent way to animate objects randomly without much work. The modifier is applied via the Graph Editor, it's a little unintuitive, so I'll show you how it all comes together.

I just recently learned about the noise modifier myself through a 3D animation Blender course I'm taking, so it's really cool to see a video about it on your channel. 😃
Plus I always learn some really helpful features in whatever software you're using by watching your videos, like pressing CTRL before clicking the eye icon in DAZ Studio to hide an object and everything parented to it. That saved me so much time.
Awesome video!
I hope you have a fantastic rest of your week my friend! 😃
you are awesome tysm for this. all the other tutorials i found were skipping bits like actually selecting the modifiers tab or telling me to press n, been struggling on this for a while now you saved me lol
Thanks a lot for this video, very well explained :)
I've been animating for years and this one video randomly teaches me the true use/meaning of influence. Ha! Thanks
How to loop that??
Wow ! Very Useful Information, thanks❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
thank you!
tks sir!
I've set keyframes on an object and gone into the Graph Editor, selected the Noise modifier for a certain function and have not had the noise pattern appear. The timeline has just remained totally flat as it was prior to my choosing the Noise modifier.
Oh! This was great!! Thank you. I gave it a try and it creates some wonderful motion to an object. I'm now wondering how I might move the object with the noise already applied to it in a scene. It appears once I've put the modifier on, it becomes locked to those coordinates. Do you know if there is a way to move the object? Thanks again.
I'm glad to hear it, Bob! To move an object with an animation applied, you can usually parent it to an empty object and apply the movement to the empty. I haven't tried this with the noise modifier, but I would imagine the same would work here. Let me know if this makes sense, I'm happy to make a video about the process.
@@WPguru WOW! It works:) I must explore the Empty further. Once again thank you for taking me through the process. A video would be welcome because you do such clearly articulated and illustrated tutorials.
Woohoo - what a nice present for the holidays 🤩
I'll put it on my list of videos to make for the new year. I'm so glad this worked for you!
How do you loop the Noise modifier so your first frame and end frame will be the same?
fax
i cant find the goddamn noise modifier tab and my assignment is due in half an hour
Assignment?
@@Prajwal____ im in a 3d arts class and we're currently studying about blender
Can you do this in the video editor in blender and how?
The Blender video editor is a total mystery to me.
@@WPguru wait oh I didn't put what I said but never mind
@@WPguru I forgot to put the real question in but I did not do it for some reason.
The first 3 mins are unnecessary. But thanks for the video!
