Than you so much for the tutorial! I've been intimidated by animation for a looooong time and you broke it down so well, I was actually able to animate a little character right after I watched this!!
Seven minutes in and I have to say man, This was a much needed and practical guide to the software. RUclips can be a minefield of hard to understand and poorly explained information. This is clear and concise.
you are the only one who teach how to do blender animation in a easy way with the best results thank you for this video now i found solution for my work
Out of thousands of videos on RUclips for beginners, this is by far the most valuable video I have seen. Thank you so much for being so intelligent and even more so for sharing your knowledge in a superb way.
Dude you are a legend. I have watched 2 hour animation tutorial and not understand much. But your style of teaching resolved all the confusions I had as a beginner. Thanks a lot.
My friend, you were able to clarify things and concepts in my mind that were really old. Really kudos for your effort. It's one of those tutorials where you realize the usefulness of the internet itself.
As a person relearning blender for the second time this was a huge help for understanding the thought process for tweaking movements in the graph editor!
I've been using blender (casually) for more than 10 years. Right now I just realized what the "normalize" button does. O.O You've just enlighted me so much XD. Thank you.
Absolutely love hearing your smack your mouth as loud as you can every other word directly into your mic. Makes the entire experience so enjoyable and not horrendous at all to listen to.
Super helpful! I really appreciate that you mention a lot of steps and alternatives and also put in a readable info of what you did if you forgot to mention it. And focusing on the idol poses by using constant interpolation was totally new to me😮
Constant interpolation is more for animation blocking, in which the animator only wants to see the key positions in time, without the distraction of incomplete or false in between motion. It is also useful for animating discrete ON and OFF animation, such as a light switch.
Very well done you did a fantastic job. When I've tried to animate in Blender the curves always intimidated me, but seeing this video breaks it down how they work and function and how to use it for animation. With time and practice I'll be able to make some great animation. Thanks again and I'll be looking at this channel for more great videos in the future!
Btw in latest Blender you can just click drag a box around keys in Timeline, no need for box select shortcut, and you can click-drag the keys to move, no need for G shortcut.
Mr. Bailey. I thought this was going to be just a simple tutorial but you showed how to use functions in different ways like setting the key frame by ticking the diamond besides the x,y,or z thingy....I'll keep watching! Take Care.
Loved this tutorial. First time using Blender, and doing any animation, and I love how this ends with a finished animation. Loads of scope to try other things too….bounces, tumble, squish, etc. Would love to see more (unless you have any animation course somewhere already?). Learning Blender & Animation at the same time, so maybe two separate paths I need to follow (what would you recommend please?)
You really sound like ToneHack. I'm just getting started with animation for game development, was looking for some NLA and Actions and found your channel. Gonna watch this even if it is a bit basic for me, pretty sure I'll find something I don't know. Thanks for the video!
I've got two more advanced animation tutorials, including one about the NLA here: Learn more about animation here: ruclips.net/video/duGHtPOL7VA/видео.html Learn more about using the Non-Linear Animation Editor in blender: ruclips.net/video/Hz1TwvSNsrA/видео.html
min. 5 don't be frustrated if something like this happens... I mean if ur already working in the industry I guess that's something to be worried about but as a beginner learn to throw away ur work anyway in my opinion don't get attached to it.. I for myself need to do this stuff more then one time to get confident so I dint care for loosing some stuff that most of the time I was already thinking about the ways I could had done better anyways so I just try to go with the flow x) frustration is a motivation killer ;) so don't get bothered by mistakes that's how I try to learn maybe it helps someone ;) the master just failed 100 times more then the beginner.i read that somewhere and I like it..
At 15:10, I am having trouble selecting all three coordinates and editing them together. I can highlight them and get the dark selection to work with no problem, but the second I release the left mouse button, it deselects and goes back to the normal interface colors. After multiple tries, I was able to get the edit to work twice, but have NO idea what I did right. Also, if I do not move the mouse quickly enough after pressing the left mouse button, it only selects one or two of the fields. Can you do a short, deep dive into this? I only ask because this is a skill that is very foundational to the efficient use of Blender.
I enjoyed this video. I am currently making a spaceship and I am trying to make it look good. Do you have a tutorial on how to texture or paint? I am at a loss. Yes Ia m learning...LOL

You forgot to delete the cube and add a new one
What’s the point of doing so?
It is a ritual which must not be understood, but rather repeated time and time again to relieve Blenderus the Blender god
Lol.
@@REDLINEROADSlol I am used to doing that because of nomad sculpt😂
@@REDLINEROADS click on the cube, then press X on ur computer
The best introduction to animation I have seen so far!
you are the only one who teach how to do blender animation in a easy way with the best results thank you for this video now i found solution for my work

I can't thank you enough man. I had spent days on paid tuturials. You've made it so easy for me to learn in hours👏
Tried sculpting and animating years ago with no results... You made in 31 minutes WAY MORE than 1XX hours of tutorials did. Thank you so much
As a person relearning blender for the second time this was a huge help for understanding the thought process for tweaking movements in the graph editor!
You have a brilliant teaching style!
For some reason I have struggled to "get" the graph editor. Your explanation of the basics was so on point that I "get" it now. Thank you, so much. :)
I've been using blender (casually) for more than 10 years. Right now I just realized what the "normalize" button does. O.O You've just enlighted me so much XD. Thank you.
animation has always felt very intimidating to me but this helped it be more digestible

In Blender 4.2 the Insert Menu hotkey's changed to K.
How did you render that controller and the ground plane with thin lines?
This is awesome! :-) How do I turn on onion skinning?
Thank you so much for this tutorial. God bless you in Jesus name. Amen
