I got a Z254F special edition 4 weeks ago, mowed my 5.5 acre horse property that has no horses. it did great, the pastures had not been cut all summer, were 2 ft tall grass and weeds. Had to make two passes in the deep stuff but the whole place looks like a lawn now. The engine is very powerful. Mine has the 23 hp Kawasaki. Very happy with it.
Bobby Boy, I bought a 2019 Z246 stamped deck and put 674 hrs on it in 2 seasons on a golf course cutting slopes, around tees, greens . Never missed a beat. @ sets of mulching blades and 2 finished blades. 7 oil changes . Cost per hour-----best investment for a mower
Thank you Tractor Bob for a well described and concise review of the machine. I was already looking online at the Z246, Z248F, and Z242F. I want the fabricated deck so now I can exclude the Z246. Since I have about 2 acres to mow, I will probably opt for the Z242F after watching your video. I will be purchasing tomorrow so this video was timely and informative. I am switching to the zero turn from an Ariens (Husqvarna) 46 inch riding mower. I will still look at the Z248F at the dealer because of the higher horsepower and the price difference is negligible.
If your cutting thru sand and junk, get a fab deck. If you want a clean, stand up cut, the stamped deck is the one. The stamped seals better. The fab has silly corners so it loses suck power. Dealers don't tell you that. Cutting a 180 acre golf course, dealers want us to try there stuff all the time. We go buy what we want. We ended up buying 2 more of these with baggers for fall and spring clean up.
Hey tractor Bob. Im deciding between the Z242F Husqvarna or the Bad Boy MZ Rambler briggs and stratton engine (single cylinder). Which one do you think is better. Having a hard time deciding. My yard isnt huge around .35 acres
Also tractor Bob If you didn’t know about how warranty works with Husqvarna let me tell you Your extended warranty doesn’t work if you have a claim just before you run out and sitting at repair shop and they say they can’t fix after warranty is up Well now your extended warranty says it’s pre existing problem I thought Obama Care was gone So basically Husqvarna just screwed the all the people that bought there garbage Including me I’m getting my money back but this is rediculous and someone needs to shut them down
Well tractor bob I know you’re just trying to show the people the options on mowers but what about warranty Please tell them how husqvarna screws the American buyer I guarantee you will never do a husky video again
Thank you tractor Bob but I totally disagree with this mower I own a 48 inch zero turn and it gets stuck on flat ground The tires suck The steering is terrible you need a kidney belt if you have divots on your property The Kawasaki engine is junk Nobody will fix my motor at Husqvarna dealership cause it’s a nightmare Please stop promoting this machine Husqvarna doesn’t stand behind there machine Basically it’s a pile of junk
I have this to say to anyone thinking about this machine Don’t buy picking up my machine and trading in cause nobody wants to fix it Went to authorized husky dealer and won’t help Please don’t make the same mistake I did Don’t buy a husky Total junk
The warranty means nothing Nobody is willing to fix at least in Ma The Kawasaki doesn’t cut it Major problems and can’t get fixed Please nobody buy this mower There is no customer support and husqvarna doesn’t care Trust me been dealing with for a while now and getting nowhere Please don’t buy this machine Can do better for the same price lol
Please stop all your reviews on these mowers Mine didn’t make it 3 yrs and husky repair shops won’t help me The Kawasaki is junk Please stop recommending this machine so nobody else gets screwed like me This machine is junk
I have owned a Husqvarna for close to 8 years. Great machine. I am happily getting ready to purchase another one for another property. Are you using a actual dealer? If you purchased it from large box store..well you're not good at research. It also helps if you have the skill set to do simple maintenance on a machine. They have a hard life and you have to be diligent on how the machine is ran.

New drinking game. Every time you hear TB say "actually", take a drink. Great info as well. Thanks.

How can you tell how much gas is in the tank?
No parking brake?
Any video on the Husqvarna Z100 series zero riding mowers, and better yet any comparison video between the 100 and the 200 series?
Thank You!
I have the z242f but mine came with 651 kawasaki
Does the 51” width include the shoot? Thanks
No it doesn't, the chute is going to add about 14 inches
Does it come with a 48” cutting deck?
48" // 42" // 54" // cut options
I just got 248F
@@stevensmith5490 Are you satisfied with your new mower?
@@mcleod55 yes!!!
@@stevensmith5490 how about now?
If I could get a Gravely ZTX52 for $800 more than a Z254 is that a no brainer? Deck build looks vastly better.
Put a mulcing kit on it. No chute, man.
Price?
2799
$3000 out the door
Hallo $2,800 I looked at one today for our 1 acre block and was quoted $7,399 Aus.
Not sure which model you looked at. But the z200 series husqqvarnas are not $7,399
@@TractorBobs Oh yes in Australia the Z242F is and that on special.
