Proud owner of a scag turf tiger 61" 27 hp kohler 1840 hrs , have replced the fuse 2,3 times and one ignition switch and thats it 16 years old and its like new !!
I rented the alto Trx, the exact same in the video to cut 4 ft weeds in about 4 acres and it was amazing. I’ve been obsessing over that zero turn since I used it once. It is a must try
Thanks for the video. I have a 2023 BadBoy Rogue, and I am so glad I chose that mower, especially after seeing this. The least expensive and the heaviest duty built.
I don’t know bout BadBoy being a joke because I’ve got the strip down bottom $ BadBoy Magnum for already 8 years now that I bought brand new from Tractor Supply and I ant had a minute of trouble out of it yet and I mowe 3 acres with it and if I had it to do all over I’d go buy it all over again!! I really love my BadBoy
Have had my JD 997 for 11 years and it has proven to be a great asset. It is used to not only mow 6 acres of grass but it is used to clip our pasture fields. The Yanmar Diesel engine has proved to be quite a workhorse and with regular upkeep has proven to be quite trouble free. Also since it is a diesel it fits right in with all of the other farm equipment drawing fuel from just one bulk tank.
So, what happened to Dixie Chopper, Scagg, John Deere, Gravely, and Ariens? Some say Scagg is the best and baddest. The Ferris seems so far to be the one everyone agrees on.
No we don’t. And to be clear, there’s nothing wrong with scag mowers. But if you compare what you get for the price. It simply does not stack up to most of the other mowers on this list. Scag has a solid mowing deck. But that’s about it.
I'm a commercial operator and I currently have a Renegade, Outlaw xp, Turf Tiger 2 and Tiger cat. The bad boys have a heavy deck but many other components are lighter duty and break like steering and suspension parts. I wonder if the decks are too heavy and cause stress on the rest of the mower. If you buy and want to keep long term pay extra buy scag it can last 20 years. If you only want it for 3-4 years and trade it in buy bad boy to save up front there still decent and are more comfortable than scag with the suspension
I like the idea of the Altoz but the tracks appear very expensive to replace and I have yet to see any video that shows a great cut quality regardless of deck choice. I Love the Ferris suspension as that’s what I have now but if the Bad Boy is anything comparable I may consider.?
I'll take a Kubota over anything mentioned. I have a 2004 BX23 that runs great after 20 years. That got me started on them. Now I have a zero turn that is also indestructible.
Really? I have a kubota z421 and have changed the drive belt twice and it rips off the transmission fan each time so you have to replace that as well. The blade spindle bearings keep going out and that is a royal PIA to change. Bad bearings or bad design. Right now one went out again and I removed them all and 5 of the six bearings are wobbly or completely destroyed. Got less than 300 hrs on it. Wait. BX23? Is t that a tractor?
That's what I got, a 60 inch to mow 23 cleared acres. Love the joystick, 469 hrs with zero issues. Underrated mower. It's not a finishing mower. Built like a tank
I don't see Dixie Chopper listed very often in the Commercial mower videos on RUclips? Is there a particular reason? I'm new to the Commercial mower category is why i ask. Thank you
Don’t understand why you left out Kubota. If you want a reliable long life zero turn, get yourself a Kubota diesel. Do regular maintenance and it will give you excellent service for many years.
What brand makes all their own transmission, engine, wheel motors and mower deck... Kubota. Not to mention those flemsy deck beck belts that fly off. Check out a ZD1211 deck belt. Thank me later.
Your list I believe is wrong based on mowing needs and conditions. 30 yrs experience and in my location this I only have 2 mowers on that list. But the most important is the dealer and how close they are, how much they know and how much they value you as a customer.
A video like this is next to impossible to make accurately due to so many different brands, different models within each brand, types of dealers, personal experience, etc.
Scags are very overrated and overpriced .. have two Scag cheetahs and have had nothing but problems and had to replace the engine on one after 400hrs and they didn't cover it with warranty even after proving a factory defect with the intake... Will not buy one again.
I have a customer has has bought a few Deere Z9 from me and ordered we ordered a new Q8 for him. Q8 was delayed so he bought a SCAG stand on and absolutely hated it. Deere came in and he sold the SCAG
At the end of the day this list is designed as a guide and is subjective to a certain extent. Exmark was a close contender for this list. And I think their mowers are solid as are many high end commercial mowers so long as the owner takes proper care of their machine. Thanks so much for you comment, Happy mowing!
Right bad boy is straight trash Toro, exmark, ferris, scag, hustler amd grasshopper are all you see not because thats all the brands but because thats what works the best inany areas I run ferris and walkers and exmarks
If you make a video about “commercial” mowers and include Bad Boy, you must not have a clue of what you speak of or you only included those who paid to be. Wright? Hustler? Exmark? Bobcat? John Deere? What a joke of a video.
When ever I see these reviews my first thought is is the person doing these never saw a commercial mower Not having listed a Scag Turf Tiger II confirms this is a BS list Hell he doesn’t even list ExMark I’m surprised he didn’t list craftsman haha Don’t take advice from these people look what pro use. The the two top two are Scag and ExMark Talk to big commercial dealers
Truth is I’ve seen, driven and compared more zero turn mowers than you ever will. There’s a lot of solid commercial mowers out there. Price to performance ratios are what kept Scag and Exmark off this list. You think you’re talking facts but you’re just stating your opinion, and everyone’s got one. Thanks for sharing.
1:04 Idk why I'm even going to continue watching when the 1st mower on this list is a Bad Boy? Jesus Christ, WTF? The only thing they got right on a Bad Boy, IS THE 1ST NAME!

Thanks for giving us the honorable mention! Can't wait to work our way to the top for the next one.

Where was exmark, scag and bobcat and John deere
How is scag not on the list
Interesting, no Scag mowers on the list.

I have the ferris and it's and amazing machine
Scag & Exmark?
The bad boy is top dog!!!
I didn’t hear you mention Scag cheetah 2 … ????😮
This must be based on a few guys trying some (SOME) out because Gravely didn't make the list and they are one of the best out there
I'd go Scag or Ferris. The higher level Ferris suspension mowers are engineering master pieces.
I think my 1974 Montgomery Ward rear engine ryder can out do them all. 8hp and 30" of single blade action! Look out big boys!...
@@lcee6592 well if your happy then I’m happy for you 👍
@ Thanks! I was just poking fun with a little ridiculous sarcasm.
Hi, why exmark lazer z wasn't in your video
So, what happened to Dixie Chopper, Scagg, John Deere, Gravely, and Ariens? Some say Scagg is the best and baddest. The Ferris seems so far to be the one everyone agrees on.
What about Cub Cadet man? LOL! i love my little yellow cubby! Yall keep on mowing!
Bobcat Z series won battle of the mowers 2 out of the last three years!!!
What brand has the longest commercial warranty?
So interesting to see all the comments about scag. Do y'all carry scag at Tractor Bob's?

All mowers are good until they break then you’ll know how good the support is. Buy where you’ll get support and service when you need it.
What’s your take on Country clipper? I have a couple and like the joystick, but doesn’t throw the grass well.

They are hard to come by in my experience. And you’re right there is not a lot of content about them online.
@@TractorBobs Thank you sir

eXmark Radius S Series is one of the best values out there.
never mention cut quality or warranty response
No need to look beyond Ferris! ❤
Scag. Number one all day long.
Only left out the 5 year warranty included tires and belts & spindle

My experience with commercial grade mowers shows the Toro and Gravely are the most overbuilt and reliable on the market!
deere
bad boy rogue cut height is wrong. It is 2-6"
A top 5 without Scag is flawed

That’s because Scags aren’t all that great.

Yakta mowers 5 year 2 thousand hour warranty

Nothing wrong with a Badboy mower. Use what works for you, he gave you lots of options. I like the Ex Mark X series but nothing wrong with the rogue.
