    When you see dear Boris walking or standing, know that he was in great pain, yet, you'd never know it. He was that kind of dedicated performer. He always said that he wanted to work straight to the end, and that he did, with great courage and love for his profession. Price, of course, could be hysterically funny and it's too bad he only got that chance infrequently. He was another marvelous human being. 👏👏👏👏👏👏

    At 4:30 we see Boris Karloff walking on stage, followed by a small version of the Frankenstein Monster. This was done because at this stage Boris Karloff was crippled, and this was a stage hand could assist him to his mark on stage, if needed. Boris looks like he was able to make it to his spot, without an assist. He was a real trooper.

    I am glad that RUclips has posted this episode of The Red Skelton Hour. I've been looking for it for a long time. I would appreciate it if the whole sketch was posted in its entirety instead of in two parts.

    • @sleepysnowbunny
      @sleepysnowbunny  4 года назад +4

      I didn't upload it that way because youtube requires you to verify your account to upload videos over a certain length and the sketch was too long. I didn't feel like going through the hassle. If you want to watch the sketch in it's entirety instead of two parts, then I guess you could always just watch it on Amazon Prime instead.

      Dear Chris; Thank you very much for your reply to my comment about the Red Skelton show episode titled "He Who Steals My Robot Steals Trash " featuring Vincent Price and Boris Karloff. Amazon Prime wants me to open an account with them and show a password, but I don't want to do that, so I prefer to watch the episode on RUclips or on the Dailymotion app if It is posted there. I appreciate your reply to my comment and your suggestion. Thank you and may God bless you always. Yours truly, Margaret Garnto.

    Was Red Skelton supposed to have been funny? Because he wasn't, not in the least.

    • @jasonbiggss
      @jasonbiggss Год назад +2

      Red was from an era where the audience was a polite part of the act. Modern audiences watch Doom and Gloom and score sassy points for their rudeness. In Red's time, Red broke the 4th wall to laugh with the audience. was post-burlesque. Plenty of slapstick, hamming, routines, and schtick, like a night in the Catskills dinner hotels.

    Red Skelton’s humor is pretty infantile and unsophisticated, it was a slog to watch him pull faces and do his hillbilly voice. 😅 I can’t speak badly about him though since he hosted much better actors and comedians than himself.
