Scary castles like this totally captured my imagination as a kid.
I remember seeing this when I was like 8 years old in 1974.
The gigantic steps Boris walks down............and the numerous corridors. Wow. Just wow.
Me too and I was 8 in 74 too. I loved watching these old spookers as a kid.
Francis Copala is an associate producer. This is a real find. Thank You to whoever uploaded this.
Before he was Ford Coppola. Lol!!!
Jack Nicholson had the honor of working with some of the greatest legends!! He is a great legend in his own rights ❤

Damn right
Creepy Castle. Movie scared me as a kid.
I like Nickolson very much!❤
Much better quality than the washed out version I started watching on Amazon Prime.
A nice old classic. Thanks for showing it.
Boris Karloff the legend, great to see Jack Nicholson playing a Frenchman sounding like a young man from LA. 😀
LOL 😂
I know, no matter what movie, he always sounds like Jack Nicholson...
I must be getting really old. I remember seeing this movie as part of the Saturday afternoon double feature at the Empire Theater in my hometown when I was a kid. Great fun !!!!!
Old? I saw it in the theater when it first came out. That’s how old I am.
No existe la vejes existen los años.😊
Probably the best clearest copy of this Movie I've ever seen.
Boris Karloff, Sandra Knight and Dick Miller legends, till the end !!
Jack's work with Karloff sheds light on his knack for suspense.
Boris Karloff and Jack Nicholson??! I am soooo in!! 😃😎🍿🍿🍿
directed by Francis Ford Coppola!
@MilesBellas Coppola was one of the 4 directors. Initially it's directed by Roger Corman.

This Picture Show 🎥 is by far, One of The Best from, Cult Cinema Classics!!❤ It has, Adventure, Mystery, a macabre feel and, not many actors but, people that cared for the show. My personal favorite is, Gustoff. He and the rest and this movie all together need more light shined on it and, thanks to you CCC, you did just that!!😊 Bless your hearts 💕 and bring in more of that macabre mystery I/We love. Thank you, thank you,........🎉
This movie used to be on USA Network all the time in the mid/late 80's, where I first watched it. It's a nostalgic favorite of mine!
I so love this kind of movies just pure entertainment, pure and simple
So do I, the best kind actually !

Great job at remastering this movie, bringing out all the colors so nicely. Good movie. Ive watched it several times.
it was filmed in color
I noticed over time his voice changed, I never knew he worked as an actor for this long. The movie is great. Jack never disappoint me.
He started to act in 1958
@@ivans.191 Yea, I read that when I found out. He's an amazing actor.

Wow, you can NOT beat the sets and esp. the lighting in these old movies...AMAZING work!!!!!!!!!!!
I am usually into Science Fiction instead of horror but this movie won me over when I seen it in 1969. To me this is by far the best role Jack Nicholson ever had.
You saw it in 1969

I still haven’t seen this in its entirety, but Jack Nicholson is just so dang cute!
I watched this film when I was a kid on an old VHS tape. I cannot believe how good this remastered version looks. Incredible.
Love Boris Karloff! Fabulous Actor, miss him! He is the epitome of horror!! all the old actors had to know how to horseback ride!!
Wow old Jack looking young in this.
Jack Nicholson is so beautiful in this movie
Amazing !!!! Remind me of Dark Shadows another great story !!!!
Jack Nicholson was so young, I barely recognised him😃😃😃
The teeth, it's all about the teeth, think of The Shining

Same year but before ''The Terror'' Jack Nicholson was in an other movie with Boris, one of my favorite movies ''The Raven'' was a 1963 American comedy gothic horror film produced and directed by Roger Corman. The film stars beautiful ''Vincent Price, Peter Lorre, and Boris Karloff'' as a trio of rival sorcerers. The supporting cast includes Jack Nicholson as the son of Lorre's character.
Fantastic movie!!!
The Terror was actually made as a follow-up to The Raven with two actors from it. Corman just finished The Raven two days earlier and wanted to use the same sets before they were torn down. And only afterwards he thought what to do with the rest of the story
Amazing olde cinema
@@ivans.191That is really, really cool to know. I absolutely love these older picture shows and, ones like you speak of, The Raven and, The Terror are far superior in mystery, suspense, and, the macabre. Great to see other super fan's out here that really know their stuff and truly appreciate it all. Thank you man and, stay cool!!

Humilde opinion❤
Jack Nicholson bem novo nesse filme. Vou ver se é bom. A imagem excelente.
Me encantó. ❤
In 1806, André Duvalier, a French soldier lost in the Confederation of the Rhine, is saved by Helene, a young woman who bears a resemblance to Ilsa von Leppe, the late wife of Baron von Leppe who died 20 years before. André sets out to investigate Helene's true identity and learns the Baron's darkest secret: after he found Ilsa with another man, the Baron killed his wife while his servant killed her lover.
E tu ! Sciocco !
i had seen this movie in 1996 .. i never knew jack nicholson was the protagonist.. glimpses of this movie were also included in "targets" which also starred borris karloff
It was a dark stormy night !!!! The real terror is what Jack Nicholson looks like today !!
yeah, he looked good back then but time catches up with all of us.
Sandy is right! Some of the best looking actors in their youth end up looking terrible in their old age! As most of us do! No other creature looks as bad as people do when they age! A really old cat or dog does not look so bad! Or a mouse for that matter! Or even a cockroach!😮😧☹️
Thank you!
This is one of my favorite pictures!!
in the first few minutes of the movie, the camera shows us the strip of sand being moistened by the waves, and the horseman wandering around, which immediately reminds me of "Planet of the Apes" from 1968...

Great special effects. When the cellars were flooding at the end the falling rocks were floating in the water !!!!! lol
Funny how this movie ends with Jack kissing a beautiful woman, who then rots away to a corpse to his disgust, just as -- 17 years later -- Jack would have a major scene in the bathroom of Room 237 at the Overlook Hotel . . . kissing a beautiful woman, only for her appearance to change into that of a rotting hag. It's deja vu all over again!

@@deejaye2647 You must have rewound this movie 50 times to find that insignificant and totally honest mistake. Not having any friends and living in your mothers basement gives you plenty of time to engage in ridiculous activities that make you look stupid. A character flaw that's your trademark. You could become the Executive Producer of anything showing your ignorance and lack of maturity and common sense.

- Cinematic. Great, lively colors. Just a few characters, but the film carried through intensely - besides acting, also because of the story. Art-horror. Karloff - Nicholson axel worked well. "Ilisha" the beautiful. This must have been a cult-classic. I thought they make this kind of films - and on this level - only in England and Italy. Coppola? -

Melhor abafar o caso. De repente usam tijolo de verdade e acaba sobrando pra nós 😇
