      I also suffered with my teeth ever since I was 13 years old and was hit by a car , most of my entire life I have suffered so much, on top of that accident, my ex had literally slapped me in the back of my head so bluntly and hard, that most of my damaged teeth, including 2 of my front main teeth that I had just fixed with my entire savings at that time, literally, had just shattered in my own mouth.
      Devastating as it was, it has been several years since that had happened to me, and because of struggling, as a single mother most of my life with my 3 children, my priority was NOT to fix my teeth, although I had so so soooo badly, and desperately wanted to fix them so freaking badly, but I couldn't afford it, as my children come first before anything else. And until now I yet have not been able to get them fixed.
      I will say this , I never post details about anything happening in my personal life, but I just have to tell my story to remind people how important, so very IMPORTANT taking care of your own, and if you have children, their teeth also.
      My mother was married from Israel, just coming to America, with me and had me at 17, and as she was a immigrant in this country who did not get to finish her high-school back home, she was not as educated, or knew of how important it was and INCREDIBLY, CRUCIAL,IT IS, TO HAVE GOOD, PERSONAL HYGIENE, ESPECIALLY WITH YOUR OWN TEETH, AND SHE ALSO NEVER learned the value and benefits from also having a good diet.
      Therefore, she cared more about how she gained little weight and wanted to stay slim, and she even bragged about how skinny she was during her pregnancy of me and how she barely ate, none the less, drank any milk!
      Which is what my specialists always asked me about, since my circulation is so poor ,due to my mother's neglect to eat or drink during her pregnancy with me.
      It has caused me to isolate myself for over 10 years now from ALL MY FRIENDS, even relatives will ask for me or invited me and I as much as I am dying to see them. I just can't fave them this way, it caused me severe depression and anxiety, to always feel insecure and even hopeless, now I recently just learned that, soon after I been using my gums and bones to eat most of the time when I even eat , which I had lost over 40 pounds over the years from having, eaten, much less, as another result, and the more time passes , and my teeth start to rot even more, my entire face and jaw will be dramatically impacted and change how my face was originally and start to wrinkle and take negative affect more and more, as I am forced to continue to chew on my bones which will start to shred ,and minimize on its own.
      What I just noticed NOW and I wonder why I haven't remembered or thought of this all , until now, which is so truly strange about all of this, is that both of my incidents, that had caused all of this misery for me, had both OCCURRED THE EVENING, OF NEW YEARS EVE. I HAVE NOT EVER THOUGHT ABOUT THIS UNTIL NOW, I GUESS, SINCE SO MUCH TIME HAS PASSED BY ME, SO QUICKLY, and I counted the years it's been, going through the rest of my entire youth, looking like total shit, and having myself more than ever before, every time, I do, have to look in the mirror.
      I have dealt with years of humiliation and embarrassing moments because of it, I only wonder if this was done to me intentionally , besides the fact that I was physically abused, I mean if it is all the " evil eye" . Anyway, regardless, please don't hesitate to see a dentist, for any reason like discomfort, or for just simple advice, I used to regularly brush, more them 3 times a day sometimes, and every single day since I was old enough to take care of my own body and self, but yet I still would lose a tooth during each and every pregnancy, and get cavities, no matter what or how much I cleaned my teeth, it would leave me completely hopeless, until I learned after getting my 11th excruciating painful rootcanal, that flossing BEFORE bed was the most important and extremely crucial for the well-being and nature of my teeth, from my dentist, that for the first time after turning 26 years old , it had taken, for a dentist to ever express the importance of FLOSSING!!! IT IS ESPECIALLY, MORE CRUCIAL , BEFORE BED TIME,. SO always always ask questions, no matter what you or anyone else may have told you or assuming you already know everything you need to know about mainly your own teeth, you may find that you will benefit most of the time you ask your questions, so just DO IT , AND TAKE GREAT CARE OF YOURSELF AND YOUR TEETH,,, AND YOUR KIDDIES. because you can save your energy, stressful suffering and watching your little ones with toothaches, money, and time wasted going back and forth to recap fillings that constantly are breaking whenever they eat a plum or bagel etc, it's just completely nerve wrecking as a parent to deal with!!!
      good luck,
      sincerely, donna.isa@icloud.com

      @@PEYPLACE It’s people’s lack of understanding about cavities. A cavity that has not gotten past the enamel does not need to be drilled and filled. If you have a cavity you need to change your diet immediately and cut all sugar out. If you do this your cavity will remineralize and it will not get any worse. If a dentist says you need a filing get a few opinions first. People’s issue is they do not care for their teeth then won’t do basic research homework to see what is the best course of action.

Not sure I want an implant though - have the feeling my gums would reject it and be inflamed. My ideal would be to regrow the tooth. Hope this is an option in the future.

    • @mykulpierce
      @mykulpierce 3 года назад +1

      The mechanism of bone loss is the lack of stimulus on the skeletal structure of the skull. This is why this would be more typical of a problem when there's multiple teeth loss and not replaced. When chewing on one side of the mouth the stem cells are activated in the skull that repopulates some of this skeletal structure. If there are viable trials I definitely be interested in signing up if there is a demonstration that they are able to grow a tooth for my genetic material.

  • @priyanksaikia5549
    @priyanksaikia5549 4 года назад +7

    Please do this as soon as possible. Make it happen Doc. I mean, we have been drilling and filling materials inside tooth for more than a century. Will this keep on continuing? Its not as if stem cells exist to regenrate tooth, people wont have another cavities and then again for a regeneration. Dentists wont be out of jobs. In all other ailments that concerned the human species, every 5 to 10 years new technologies are available for the general well being of people but why is it in dentistry, there is a lack of motivation to cure cavities and to regrow lost teeth? People are going to pay for this only when it becomes available. We have come a long way since the understanding of the human tooth and other mammals that can regrow teeth. The only step to regeneration of an entire set of a teeth is to first cure cavities without any filling and replenishing the tooth with the necessary minerals that takes place due to acid attack from bacterias( if this is the only case as of yet until a new causant is discovered)

    • @zachariah1990
      @zachariah1990 2 года назад

      The main issue is people need to start eating better and stop depending on junk food as a source of food. It’s been proven by dentists that if you eat a low carb diet aka keto and clean your teeth properly as in brush floss and see a dentist 1-2 times a year you would essentially be immune to cavities. Cavities cannot form without a fuel source of acids and sugar. Of course you cannot avoid all carbs hence why the dentist is crucial to remove the tartar etc. basically if you could achieve a zero carb diet you wouldn’t ever need to see a dentist again. This is what my dentist told me, ever since I switched to a keto diet my teeth are in amazing shape there’s really no excuse for it. People need to do better this type of stuff should be more for people with genetic issues not so people can continue drinking soda pop and eating fast food just to run to the dentist to fix it as the tooth begins to erode.

I only got this operation so my mom would stop pressuring me about it. just to get it over with. damn that is a crazy way to make choices. I feel afraid about my future. fake teeth fall out. will my face cave in? I don't feel confident about being myself, and life keeps rolling. I feel like i've been living my life on pause for five years. I just don't feel confident about my teeth.. it effects my entire face. the structure, the symmetry. it seems ok these last years.. but going into the future.. i don't know about my future. once i tried to "get more involved" in a meeting at work, and my entire face was thobbing.. and then i got afraid.. can i still have a normal life?

I feel like some people would say it could take 100 years.. because they could be selling us "hope" giving over ambitious time lines. but it isn't wrong to hope. being "inside of this" I'm personally invested.. for me.. hope has got me by for the last 6 years. I got the operation when i was 25. it was so uncalled for i had no problems. the only problem was my teeth were 'shorter' then they are supposed to be (because of coca cola). but seriously the problems had stop almost a decade ago.. there was no pain. no distractions. no problems. they insisted and insisted that i drill them down.. i knew it was a mistake. you shouldn't do this drastic thing unless it is in your gut. and my gut was telling me hell no. Yeah my teeth were smaller then "ideal" but i knew i could get 10 years more out of them.. maybe even decades more out of them, the rate of decay was non-existent. drilling them down was so conuterintitive. because they never come back. but I really needed my mom to stop panicking about it. yeah i should have moved out. this wasn't the only problem. i was already having chest pain. Dental treatment as it stands is very short term and quite frankly crap.
    Fillings- probably your best standard treatment nowadays and even then- that requires replacement sometimes.
    Crowns- must be replaced and can’t eat certain foods.
    Veneers- defiantly need replacement and can’t eat certain foods.
    Implants- most expensive and also needs replacement with further high end cost.
    Seriously? That’s the best we can do for the price it is? That’s insanely lacking!
    None of it is guaranteed at life time longevity.
    Take it from me - look after your damn teeth, as modern dentistry sure as hell won’t unless your drowning in cash to the point it’s ridiculous and can get replacements repeatedly at the flick of a wrist.
    It’s all purely cosmetic, it’s much more weaker and is essentially just pretty stage props like the detailed one sided houses used in old westerns.
    Research like this is a must - but god forbid I guarantee it’ll be considered highly coveted and privatised with the largest price tags you’d have ever seen in your life.
    What a shame.

They think that by implanting the tooth germ in the jaw it should stimulate the surrounding tissue creating a tooth that would erupt. This however will take as long as a normal tooth would to grow. I have only read articles though and none of them link to the study. I recently contacted the professor and am awaiting a response but I have no idea if he understands english.

    Our body uses stem cells always. Embryonic (Omnipotent) stem cells -> Pluripotent stem cells -> Unipotent (adult) stem cells, including the following: Blood Stem Cells,· Mesenchymal Stem Cells, Neural Stem Cells, Epithelial Stem Cells, Skin Stem Cells, etc. Classification can be different in different sources.
    Differentiation of the stem cells to cells of tissues is defined by environment or let's say by extracellular matrix (ESM), signals from neighboring cells, and hormones.
    Why humans can grow teeth only before the age of 13? Because properties of ECM are changing over time. When the human body loses the ability to produce elastin fibers, ECM gets stiffer over time. Consequently, the migration of stem cells gets compromised and they lose the ability to grow teeth. Also, cells are getting clear signals that the time to grow new bones and teeth is over. It happens about age 13.
    So, all claims about growing new teeth by adult humans are groundless and speculative. Unless we can rejuvenate our body to age 13 and below that is to become a baby again. Can anybody get it?
    All the noise about stem cells is nothing more than selling empty hopes.
    I will make a video on my RUclips channel about it in more detail.
    Yet, I don't deny a theoretical possibility of rejuvenating the human body, growing lost legs and arms, or new teeth. Actually, I am working on it but a lot has to be yet done.
    PS. I am a doctor in physics and math. I never trust MDs. Never and ever. It has helped me to stay healthy for the last 25 years or longer.
    Cheers

    I live in Northern Indiana... South Bend area. Can you advise of an approximate cost of an implant? I have a crown that just snapped off a month ago, next to my front tooth ... peg lateral. I had a bridge of sorts of six teeth across but this one now missing. I recently received a temporary tooth (flapper) and will be looking at an implant. On my first assessment, he has told me the bone looks strong. The peg tooth is very small and he will have to extract it first and then, at the same time put the implant post in. At that point, after six months, they send me back to my local dentist for a crown. I have had the flapper for about two weeks. Are you any closer to stem cells growing teeth? I am trying to explore my options. Thank you so much for your thoughts.

    Regenerative endodontic treatment can be done on mature permanent root canal treated teeth.
    If yes then in your known reference can suggest a endodontics clinic or hospital name for doing this treatment.

    I have one question, if the patient voluntarily agreed to a similar procedure and he took into account that it is at the level of experimentation, would you perform a similar operation?

    Is biodent a good supplement for teeth? I’m also drinking raw keifer, oil pulling with extra virgin coconut oil + clove oil, brushing with charcoal fluoride free tooth paste and rinsing with xylitol from birch wood. My teeth feel great. However, one of my molars 🦷 broke down to the base and want to see if I can make some Magic happen!!!!!

      Try "biocalcium" mouthwash, also raw onions and garlic are great for teeth and bone density

    So are you saying that tooth enamel also can be regenerated using stem cells? Or just the dentin and pulp?

      This technology has not been advanced to the point where this is practical for patient use. Dental stem cells are still very much a topic of research.

    @Joseph R Nemeth DDS & Associates Hello! Can you please tell me what do you think about extracting one very much destroyed tooth with pulpitis, repairing it outside the mouth for short time and the plqcing it back in the socket where it was before?
    And if you do think this is possible - is it possible to do the same with a tooth which has been extracted 8days ago?
    Please answer my questions because I have this dilema right now and it is extremely important.
    Thank you very much for your wonderful explanations ad informative videos!
    I wish I was near you!
    God bless!

      Hello Pal. Thanks so much for watching.
      From my experience, this technique is not possible. I would not recommend that a tooth be placed back into the socket after extraction.
