Watch me unbox the new Mudmaster GWG-2000 and see how it compares to my go-to GG-B100.
Is it worth the money? Let's find out!

I spend a lot of time outdoors and got very lost in the woods last year. The compass on this watch might have saved my life. I can't even describe how turned around I was. I had a paper map and GPS on my phone, but the GPS couldn't get reliable signal through the thick canopy... and eventually the phone battery died anyway. My map plus the GWG 2000 compass is what got me back to civilization.
Enjoy the new G mate, always like to see these unbox/reviews. It looks stunning and think it's gonna get a load of wrist time with you, deffo worth the money, especially with your discount. MB6, Solar & Sapphire are now the pre-reqs for all my Gs these days but I think for the time being I'm happy with what I have - I've got more of a Seiko head on these days again and hunting down some special pieces in that flavour . Thanks for taking the time to do the vids, I really enjoy them. Take care fella.
Cheers mate. Have you seen the Seiko x One Piece collabs? They’re cool
Looks cool. Congratulations on the purchase!
I had the same kind of experience. While traveling to Warsaw, I decided to have a quick look to a g-shock distributor, just a quick look....
I already have 3 casio g-shock.
I saw the the new mudmaster and was like waooow! Then I decided to try it and I was amazed by the gwg-2000!!!
So I bought it immediately 😅😅
It was a week ago and I love this watch! It looks fantastic and feels very premium!
It was the equivalent of eur 750. I've negotiated a 10% discount and then recovered an extra 23% VAT through a company... overall very good deal 👌 👍 😊
Yeah I'm definatly getting this version over the old one as soon as I can save up for it. I buy Protreks because most gshocks are just to bloody thick. Thanks for the review. I think it looks stunning and I can't wait to ad one to my collection.
la nouvelle sera comme la GGB 100 application qui est nulle
Brilliant review mate! Been on the fence for a while but I think you've won me over, amazing watch!
Ahh thanks that’s really nice of you. Don’t hesitate to buy it, it’s a fantastic watch.
Beautiful watch mate! Youve just made my mind up for me. I am getting one! 😄
You’re welcome Jamie. Enjoy the watch, I’m loving mine and convinced it’s worth the money after having it for a week or so. It’s a beaut!
Great video!Good or bad comments shown on your face more than words,it's great!I just bought it from online shop, and looking forward in hand, except the tin or can whatever it is...
Enjoy!
Nice review mate. Just subscribed. It's a lovely watch. We've been living in Turkey for many years and I still use my GG-1000-1A3DR! About 4 years old, only changed the batteries for the first time a few weeks ago. Just has compass and temperature. As we do a lot of trekking in the Taurus Mountains we actually use the functions! I actually looked at this in the G-Shock store in İstanbul, very nice but I didn't feel like I must have it, and maybe it's familiarity but I prefer the dial design on my GG! The altimeter/barometer on yours would be useful, but my wife has that on her smartwatch! Totally understand why you would get this, it's extremely good looking!
Thanks Brian, and thanks for subbing. I’m not sure it’s worth the upgrade for a 1000 owners, but for someone who has neither its well worth it imho. Wearing it a lot (now actually) and quickly becoming my go-to G!
I love the numeric indices at 12, 3 , 6 and 9. Its very Rolex explorer ish and enough info for your brain to instantly orientate to the time on the watch while trying to minimalize the clutter on an already cluttered watch face.
Great video shots. I like it better seeing it on your video. That model would look great with a red strap. I might need one.
Thanks. As I say, you really need to see one in the flesh to appreciate how lovely it is. Get one, you won’t regret it!
New to G-Shocks. I've started with a 5600BB-1ER and I love it. This GWG-2000 looks gorgeous. Something to build up to. Loving all G-Shocks though. I'm starting to understand and appreciate this iconic watch
They really are a fantastic starting point for a journey into horology. Don’t forget to check out my other GShock reviews! More coming soon!!
I prefer the plastic keeper. It means I don't need to use an o ring to stop the metal keeper moving around. Also it is one less thing to collect scratches from desk diving. I bought the 'sand' colour version and am very happy with it. It seems like a small thing but I particularly like the fact that the alarm is pretty loud (for a G-Shock).
Yep, metal keeper grabbed arm hair... alarm is louder than the gwg-1000 too.
Oh I didn't know that. I thought the metal keeper is a better thing. Thanks.
This watch keeps perfect time but for me it’s also a tool that delivers information needed for long range shooting: temp, altitude, and azimuth. The low light capability from LED and florescence is at best sketchy but overall this watch has the sort of features which make it more useful than any other I am aware of. I am totally satisfied with mine. It seems to be a very good value.
It's nice to hear of someone actually making use of the features!
Great video! Coming from the same model to the same model myself.
Thank you mate. Enjoy the watch it’s great!
GGB100 is absolutely indestructible..just nice on my small wrist ..eventually will definitely buy a gwg2000, great review
Thanks for watching
I like that new 2K model.
The previous 1K model I have in green, but green in 2K it’s red overkill. Especially that huge red teeth around sensor.
So this is pointing me to Stealth Grey model so far.
Thanks, and
Cheers
Same thought here, the red accent is totally unnecessary imo. I think I'll get the grey one, or even the sand beige.
I was in the shop almost an hour because I can’t decide which one I’m going for. My son bought the desert sand colour. At the end I bought the green khaki colour which I’m happy with. Almost bought the grey one though. But as my GWG-1000 is green khaki colour then I made my mind up to get the same colour.
@@GloveMaster02 yeah, I mean. Before you make decision, it can take some time for sure.
All 3 models are great anyway.
Absolute Toughness 👊
The GWG 1000 is the perfect design of military toughness that's impossible to improve on. Its a perfect looking watch. I also happen love the heftier weight size and thickness that the 1000 has. It's a Beast !
Perfect for military? No, it is too big and the strap is uncomfortable.
@@rb2112 But it breaks. ...I would probably break it.
I love mine best watch ever.
@@Nightmareman3 I should hope not!
@@AngryBritain The Rangeman 9400 has a well known fatal design flaw. It breaks and cannot be fixed. The area around the case and watchband.
I'm more partial to previous 1000 series Green variant, but the whole line are great, and the lighter weight is what keeps it on the list
I had the previous gen, check out that video!
I've been eyeing a grb200. Gravity master. A lot cheaper and looks beautiful. But I saw this just come out and I really wanted to get a mudmaster. I don't own watches but getting older I felt the desire to have a watch. Doing research and finding out the functionality of G shock watches, I felt this is a watch worth getting. Don't see the big deal of smart watches and doesn't have that much personality. Really became a g shock fan in the past week. I think I will be getting one and be a keeper for years. Will look into that discount. Enjoy your watch brother. 👍
If you like the Gravitymaster take a look at the GG-B100 I also own, and featured in this video. It’s basically the same watch in Mudmaster form. And more affordable than the 2000. I still wear mine a lot even though I now have this!
I would say yes to the mudmasters I have 2 the 100 and the mudmaster GWG 1000 1A3 they are great watchs ⌚ 😀
That discount code came in handy, thanks😃
👍🏻👍🏻 I’m sure it won’t last forever!!
Cheers, having watched this review a couple of times I took the plunge and bought this to compliment my gwg-100. It arrived today and it really is stunning. I love g shock as I’ve never worried about damaging them compared to Apple Watch; seiko etc… seasons greetings and I’ll look forward to your state
of the collection vid. As a g shock owner I’d also be interested what you think of the Amazfit trex as this seems the closest to a useful g shock style smart watch.
Thanks Mark, I'm sure you'll love it. I've already started to be less precious about it and it's quickly replacing the GG-B100 as my go-to G 👍🏻
This is a really cool watch, packed with all the functions. Well worth the money, just won’t fit my small wrist
Great watch congratulations on purchase
Thank you and thanks for subbing!
Thank you for this video.
Thanks for watching!
I have to say that it looks very good! Haven't seen one in real life yet. I have to be honest here, in my opinion the ggb100 is the better looking watch. I spend weeks to do all my research to justify the purchase of the original but I failed..... solar powered was the only argument. Now I own both and I also want this one, hahahahaaaa! Greetings from Amsterdam
Haha! Awesome. Do try and see one in real life, I think you’ll be really surprised. Thanks for watching
Amazing watch !!!
Thanks Jonny, enjoying it a lot and in regular rotation!
I bought the green khaki GWG-2000-1A3ER yesterday Saturday 30/10/2021 at Carnarby Street store, London. I still got the old one which I bought 4 yrs ago, the GWG-1000-1A3ER. I like the new one which got forged Carbon Case. Both are lovely watch, the old and the new watch. The new GWG-2000 straps slightly better feel then the old one.
Yeah the old one is still a great watch and not cheap looking at all. I wonder if he mistakes that bezzel on the old one for plastic when its really carbon fiber.
Nice!
I never get tired of listening to them talk.
Nice one, mate. I'm planning to get one myself once they're available here.
Got it not long after i made the comment. One of the best tough watches ever. I love the anti-mud feature.
Wear it well
Regarding about pictures not doing any justice and so on I said the exactly the same thing today when I went to the gshock store in Barnaby street today. I originally went in there to get the gwg b1000 but fortunately she said the delivery is late and said I can order it online. While I was there I asked the lady the assistant if I can have a look at the gwg2000 and when I had it in my hand I was soo impressed regarding the materials and the quality and weight of it and then I said to the assistant that the pictures on the internet doesn’t do any justice, if I saw this for the first time at the shop instead of the internet and I’ll would of bought one of these I said, but because the gwgb1000 is out to order online I gave back the watch but yeah it was a very nice watch. I never felt like that with any other watch before. Hopefully I’ll have the same feeling with the gwgb1000. :)
At least they sre metal tins compared to Seiko's cardboard crap boxes. Great review.😊
Agree about the packaging on the higher end models. They should make a bit more of an effort with anything over £200.
Good review
Thanks very much!
Daaaaaam I might actually buy a mudmaster now
I’ve avoided going into the shop since this came out as I just know I’ll walk out with one and realistically I can’t pull it off with my puny wrist!
That’s a very wise decision! 🤣
I own a ggb100 for 6 months now and it hardly ever leaves my wrist. It is the most comfortable watch in my collection. I don't wear my gwg1000 anymore and that says a lot... I hope you are going to share your wearing experience over time with us, especially how comfortable it is in comparison to your ggb100
Same here. I've actually bought the GWG1000 twice and sold it both times. I found the GG-B100 to be much more comfortable compare to the GWG1000. I hope the GWG2000 will be as comfortable as the GG-B100.
@@bigbigdog I find it very comfortable, I think just that little bit of a reduction in size really helps.
@@bigbigdog i own a gwg1000, sadly it has a stuck second hand problem, which seems to happen to a lot of ppl
great video.
Thank you!
I wish the GWG-2000 has positive display and bluetooth connection, and maybe a way to set different light on time, like 3,5,10 sections. i find positive to be more functional as its easier to read.
We get the cheap tins in Canada too. The metal needs to go into the keeper.
The Carnaby Street store staff are amazing - hence why I have the GWG1000; just like you I went for a look... Not sure I'd upgrade, the GWG1000 buttons squeak like a hamster when wet, and the strap is made out of nails. If the GWG2000 had bluettoh, and step counter...
Bluetooth I can live without, but I really wish it had a step counter, I know it’s naff but I really like it on my GGB100
Great review, I also got myself one.....its stays on M charge....how long to get it to show H? Left it in direct sun for about 2 hrs as well.
I’ve never really thought about charge level to be honest, it just works. And I don’t wear it all the time either.
When you unscrew the Crown does water get inside the watch and does it have a 24 hour countdown timer... Great video mate
I think you can set the watch using the crown, the guy in store did it for me, but I guess with multi band you shouldn’t really have to. That’s all in the manual I’ll never read! I think they all have the ability to count down for 23:59h should you need to and that’s just done via the timer function. Thanks for watching!
I got this model (GWG-2000-A3JF). The GG-B100 (2019) has better performance (hands move quicker) than the GWG-1000 (2015). It would be interesting to see how the GWG-2000 (2021) compares to the GG-B100.
I’ll have to have a look at that!
The GGB100 is 19.3 mm thick versus only 16.1 mm thick for the GWG2000.
One thing I thought weird is the temp sensor only goes down to -10c it gets a lot colder here in Canada then that same with a lot of other places in the world!
In America we get the shit tin as well. Lol. Great video dude !
Thanks for watching!
Just bought the same watch as you and love it. Question do you know how long the battery will last even with the solar charging. Please let me know, good video too
I’m honestly not sure mate, in the time I’ve had it I’ve not worried once about it running out of battery. It goes into power save at night anyway.
Ok cheers
Great video thanks. I love the red detail on GWG 2000. I'd prefer it with a black strap, but don't think they offer the black strap with the red detail on watch body. Shame, otherwise I'd be tempted to purchase now.
It’s quite a subtle green. Go and check one out at a store if you can.
Thanks, went to the GShock store Carnaby St today. Tried it on and looks great. Strap is dark green so subtle and complements the watch well. Once it was on my wrist it was mine! Wasn't coming off. Asked them apply the discount code you mentioned and to my surprise it was still current. Many thanks for the tip off.
@@miker4926 Brilliant mate, nice one!
A few months ago, my Seiko Coutura ($650) kicked and i went and got a similar one cause i liked it so much. I was sure as can be I wouldn't be needing a watch...ever. The Seiko was great, accurate time to the second. All i wanted was an fully automatic watch.
Then i got an email that changed everything. Day after day i would get the emails, especially the Mudmasters, specifically the GWG-2000. Sure enuff i found one on eBay for $500 and got it. Best watch i ever owned. Nothing even comes close. Worth every penny. Now i have to stop myself from checking out those metal ones. Wow are they f'ing sharp. I always thought typical quality in Casio watches, not supreme quality. This is premium stuff.
Yes, anything over £350 in the G range is a serious bit of kit. Welcome to the club and enjoy the Muddy. Do check out my other reviews - some even more premium than the 2K!
Check out my latest video Chad, I’ve just bought another one!
The new 2K is beautiful
It is!
Prefer the 2000. It’s solar. And you don’t have to connect it to your bloody phone.
5:16 The Japan models in their ultra cool boxes are a different experience. Sakura Watches for the win! I paid under $600 USD
I just attempted to buy a GWG-2000 from the Casio website in the UK. They are out of stock, so contacted them asking when they are going to get some more. The reply from Casio was that this model has already been discontinued. I wonder if there is any plan to update this model with a GWG-3000 at some time in the future?
Interesting!
I lost my GGB100, really loved it. Probably will get these new GWG-2000 ones. The only issue I had with GGB100 was the bands were not very comfortable, wonder if its any better in the new GWG-2000 ones?
It’s a lot less stiff on this one. I find it really comfortable. I think the reduced size helps too.
I got the JaysAndKays adapters and stuck an orange and black 22mm NATO on mine (have the orange one).
Really tempted to get the 2000.
Do it, fab watch
@@AngryBritain heehee.... ordered the Toyota Land Cruiser special edition 🥳👍
Month on, how are you finding it compared to the ggb100 (which I have) do they really feel different enough, any good reasons to have both? I've read through the comments already hope i haven't missed the answer to this.
I’m wearing this and the GGB a lot, kind of switching between the two. I’ve become less precious about the 2000, which is good, but my daily beater is still the GGB. I guess if you look at it like that, that’s good reason to own both!
i went to the gshock store to see what they had between 50-90 and thought i should spend more and get your daily gshock in orange, but i saw that gwg2000 and i was smitten, so i left and ended up getting the 9500 and i still think about the 2000 mudman and been checking prices hoping they will drop for the holidays. maybe wait a little longer to see if other colors come out
With the new GWG1K the 2K price might drop. At time of writing there were some good deals to be had.
Nice amigo you accept is nice
The steel ring bezel makes the watch looks more premium than the old GWG 1000. But don't you think it is also more vulnerable to defect or scratch than the old one ?
Probably, but it seems to be holding up pretty well so far
Hello champion !!!
Between the two watches, GWG-2000-1A3ER and GWG-B1000-3AER. which one would you buy in your humble opinion with what you have already experienced in these two watches? Since the price is similar. (If there is also someone who can advise me, I would appreciate it in advance, THANK YOU!!!)
Hi! To be honest, as this video is a little of now I'd probably buy the new GWG1000 now, but of the two above I'd buy the GWG2K
was hoping for a new quad sensor like the gulfmaster. or at least the barometer tech from the new ggb100. but i guess its for people who loved the classic. but sleeker.
I agree, I think they could have done more with it. BT for sure, and even a Step Counter which I find REALLY useful on my GG-B100 and new Gravitymaster.
Love it ! Where you buy and get 15% off? could u sent me the link??
Code is in the video. Gshock online store (uk)
how'd they miss the opportunity to use the gwg1000 with app? I have the ggb100 and can autocorrect the altitude with autoconnect of the app every 6 hours. I couldnt imagine paying twice to have to maintain it manually!
I know, it's a bit of an ommission IMHO when watches half the price do it, even if it offers limited functionality. That said, in the time I've owned it I wouldn't say I've missed being unable to connect it!
@@AngryBritain I am assuming its because they cant figure out solar power and which type of OS the phones on or something. I had the ggb100 for like 4 years now or whenever it came out and just recently found its way more accurate to let the app correct the altitude i used to set it manually but it dropped like a rock. And would only set the differential when it reads correctly. With this gwg1000 you would I assume have to aim it at the right timezone under the sunlight to get it to find it correctly. lol. I would upgrade but its too much of a beast machine rather than a trek watch. Casio makes those too I am waiting on maybe a solar powered gravity master like the ggb200. With an atomic receiver. They'll have a whole new line up of something like that in the next 2 or 3 years. Just watch! haha, no pun intended. take care friend!
@@AngryBritain Yes, it being "non smart" is actual a plus to a lot of hardcore dire gshock wearers. i have looked through a ton of the mrg watches and thought if im paying 3k i actually wouldnt want it to be smartwatch dependent. ect.
I love your reviews I am in Australia and collect mudmasters and we get the same shitty tins thankyou for your reviews I'll keep watching take care Damian Searle Adelaide Australia
Thanks man, really kind of you. More G content coming soon!
Can I ask you mate why did you sell the frogman as I am thinking of buying one
I just found it a little too large to wear comfortably. It’s a stunning watch and i sometimes regret moving it on! If you can find one, enjoy one for a while.
I buy it thanks bro
Hello I have a question about this watch, I keep wanting to get it, but put off by the size of it.
I like to were long sleeve shirt to protect my arms from UV as where I live the sun is very strong.
I have never seen a video with someone wearing a long sleeve shirt and this watch, can you tell me if the watch is a pain in the azz or not.
Thanks for any assistance.
Hi there! Thanks for the question. Honestly you may struggle for comfort of you're always wearing it with a long sleeve shirt. It's a lot thinner than the previous GWG-1000 and GG-B100 but still quite thick. The best way to find out would be to try one on. I find it really comfortable. It's winter here in Britain right now so I'm mostly wearing it with a hoodie and I don't find it really to be am issue. It's a great watch, and now on of the ones I wear the most from my collection.
s@@AngryBritain Hi thanks for the honest come back...
Gonna be honest i love this watch, I think I will get one.. looks fantastic on your wrist, I love how eligible the dial is.. I know if I get anything else, I would be disappointed.
Hi Angry Britain, Nice review, and I agree with all your comments. I previously owned 10 G Shocks, including the expensive ones, and generally liked them. Last year I sold them all, as I was always irritated by what I think is a major problem with all Casio G Shocks - the digital readouts are terrible! Why have a feature, which is useless? Now, the GWG-2000 is making me twitch, but, it still looks like the digital readout is still poor. I also noted your comment about the GGB-100. Which of the two would you recommend, in terms of value for money and functions? Do you agree with my views about the digital readouts. You might of course suggest that I visit the Casio and take a closer look.. Many thanks Terry Davis
Hey Terry, thanks for leaving a comment. I'll admit, some of the G digital displays are hopeless. The one on my GA-900 is particularly bad! In terms of GG v GWG I guess it really comes down to how much you want to spend. They're very similar, but obviously the GWG is tough solar and has sapphire glass, whereas the GG has a step counter and Bluetooth but not the more premium finish. I love them both, and still wear my GG a lot and I'm not too worried if it gets knocked and bashed, i guess that's quite telling? Please do Sub if you haven't already, more G content in the pipeline!
@@AngryBritain Hi AngryBritain, many thanks for your quick reply. Still can't draw you on which you would recommend, unless the fact that you wear the GG all the time answers the question. Not worried about the price, and I am attracted more to the GWG. What's the lume and backlighting like on the GWG?
Keep up the good work as I will be subscribing. Regards Terry
@@fishwagt1514 Thank you for your quick reply and useful comments.
What about the casio gwg 2000 CR-1A...
Out of the above and CR-1A, which would u choose ?
I like them both but prefer this version!
I swear these watches (gwg-2000) really do look quite different in every video and picture I see!
The really do. You need to see one in the flesh. Totally different
@@AngryBritain I’m here in the US and I don’t think they’re out quite yet! I found a website selling them from japan for 600$ which is quite nice and I’m seriously tempted. What did you think about the all grey one, if I can ask?
@@CollinB_EDC All 3 are very nice colour and it’s all depends on your taste. My son bought the desert sandy colour and I bought the green Khaki colour.
@@CollinB_EDC There's a lot of love for the all grey one, but it's not my taste.
after how many years would we need to change the battery?
The 2000 is solar, so no battery to change!

Macys has this for $600 right now with a discount. Just bought one!
Enjoy
That's good find for price. Does it have the digital step counter and sunrise/set indicator?
I sold my gwg1000.
I got the biege gwg2000.
Design and material looks way better than 1000
Nice
The GGB100 is 19.3 mm thick versus 16.1 mm thick on the GWG2000.
Yes, it's quite noticeable.
Word !
I prefer this army green GWG 2000 vs GWG B1000. I like the color and the red accent, more premium looking than B1000 (looks plasticky).
Agreed
GG-B100 wins in functionality especially where there is no atomic time signal …
GG-B100 got step counter , sunset sunrise time, mode customisation from phone, accurate time keeping via GShock connected app, auto time / time zone update if you travel .. and it’s $500 cheaper
It’s probably the one I wear the most out of my collection, though I am finding that I’m wearing the 2000 a lot!
@@AngryBritain you are right .. the GWG2000 is a real nice looking watch … couldn’t help myself and got one in sand brown yesterday.. been on my wrist since …
The GGB100 is 19.3 mm thick versus 16.1 mm thick on the GWG2000.
A metal keeper sounds like a good idea but if you're wearing a watch all day you'll want a silicon or plastic one. I have a Seiko SafArnie snj031 and I couldn't take the metal keeper off fast enough and put a silicon one I got online on it fast enough. If you work at a desk or use anything that might rub your wrist and the band all day that metal keeper will get irritating fast. I put the metal one in a plastic bag back in the watch box encase I might want to sell it one day.
Agree 100%. As a desk jockey myself, I much prefer non-metal parts in the band. That's why I love the GG-B100 so much.
Just bought this watch, in the 'all black' version for £559
Which is 20% off... couldn't resist 😂❤ 🇬🇧
Nicely done. Enjoy!
@AngryBritain ... it's the 8th G-Shock I've bought this month.
Fell deep into the rabbit hole, must stop now.
In Taiwan… GWG2000 cost $550 usd… got one last week
What u think of the yellow version?
I like all three of them and if I was to buy another it would probably be the yellow one. For me the Green offers the best wearability for most situations. The only one I’m not so keen on is the black one. Have you seen the new Toyota Land Cruiser Ltd Edn - that’s really nice!
When was this watch released?
It’s quite recent October 2021

I laugh when you "shut up dog" LOL
🤣
1 thg i dun like abt the ggb100 is, u hv to change the battery every 2 years regardless your usage and a mineral glass instead of non reflective sapphires crystal...
My battery seems to be holding up well. 3 years and counting on the GGB
@@AngryBritain awesome, do u use a lot of its functions? Like turning on the backlight, taking bearing etc?
LOL, the JDM models of everything are always much better. it has always been like this.

The Carnaby St Store in London. Well worth a visit.
I'm watching a watch video... lol SHIT TINS, from now own i call my tins, SHIT TINS...love it
Right! That is F'n it, isn't it? Having watched many videos on the subject of this particular watch, I am now going to risk pain of death when my wife finds out and buy the thing! God save the Queen, cuz I don't think He'll be helping me on this one, will He?
Nope
Good that you got 15% off .....
I got a free LIMITED EDITION G-Shock Mudmaster T shirt with mine 🤫
Am I right in thinking that this one has the same module as the old one?
I believe so yes.
@@AngryBritain thanks mate. In Australia the price of the gwg1000 is nearly half of the new one. I may just get the old one and save some coin.
@@tezzanewton I remember you talking prices in Australia and I remember them being extremely high for G Shocks. How much is the 1000 going for ? It's high time to upgrade from the GG hopefully. I still think the GWG 1000 is way better looking than the 2000 version of it. It has that military tough look that can't be improved on IMO. I also like the size thickness and weight that the 2000 is lacking.

for reference, this watch is $800 US today, Sept 2, 2022
