Thank you! I am setting up my DIG irrigation for my new garden and needed a refresher course. This class gave me even more information than I had before! I now know what parts I need to add to my system. Greg Smith presented the information in a precise, easy-to-understand fashion by demonstrating each product he introduced. The video quality was excellent - not too fast, including clear audio (no mumbling or variations in volume), and the correct description of each product he displayed from your "Quick Reference Index."
I'm going shopping to replace lost parts from my original system!
Thank you so much for all this information. Spoon feeding fertilizer into a filter is genious.
Great info, can't wait to install my kit I just bought this spring!
I did not realize you could take the "face" off and clean them!
Excellent instructional video! Thank you.
Excellent production information.
Is there attachments for adding this to a grass sprinkler line? Or is it only for hose connections?
I didn't know you could put fertilizer in the mesh filter! I just bought a 2 gallon fertilizer injector lol oh well at least I know now
Great and helpful information !
I can’t find anywhere how to connect my dig irrigation system to the end of a hose. We do not have a faucet with enough space to connect. There is concrete about 3 inches above the faucet. What part do we need?
Are the flags interchangeable into the black housing? I would like to swap out for different output without having to uninstall black housing.
How can I download a book. I purchased a 50 plus tree kit from a supplier and would like to learn more.
Hey Rick, our drip guide can be viewed and downloaded here: www.digcorp.com/wp-content/uploads/digcorp/DIG_Drip-Irrigation-Guide_web.pdf
Hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Fantastic presentation. Thank you.
Is it recommended to install a small system to a regular sprinkler head? Im talking about 3-4 adjustable vortex sprayers on spikes?
Hey Rodolfo, we do not recommend doing this. If you are going to convert a sprinkler system over to drip, it is best to convert the entire system, not just one head. If some high flow/high pressure sprinkler heads are left in operation, the areas they cover may be overwatered when the system run time is increased after the conversion. That is not to say that it cannot be done, and it might be okay if the vortex sprayers are spaced appropriately but it can be problematic. Hope this helps!
If you need more assistance with this, our tech service reps are available Monday - Friday from 7 am to 4 pm at (800) 344-1172.
How far apart can you space the ML-106 driplines and still get good coverage in sandy soil?
Hello,
In sandy soil, 10 to 12 inch spacing between drip lines should give you even coverage.
@@DIGCORPORATION Thank you.
Can you spoon powder fertilizer into the upgraded filter? I always assumed it needed to be liquid.
Hey Kat, you can use water soluble granular fertilizers in the Y screen filters, as long as it is not coated or prolonged release. You can unscrew the flush cap and spoon it in through the opening and then screw the cap back on.
If I need to move a T or valve from 1/2 “ line do they easily pull apart?
Hello, both barbed fittings and compression fittings are quite difficult to separate unfortunately, but it is possible.
@@DIGCORPORATION so how? Heat?
@@OSGCourtWatch
For compression fittings, it is best to cut the piece out and then using pliers to remove the remaining tubing. You can try without cutting out the fitting, but it will be more difficult. With barbed fittings, you will most likely have to use a blade to cut the tubing and remove the fitting. Generally people will just cut the section out entirely and replace it with new tubing and fittings. We do not usually recommend for people to try and pull it apart. Sorry for the difficulty, but hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
@@OSGCourtWatch you just have to rip the mf out of there. Then cut the part that was in there off because it will stretch and get skinnier as you yank it out. It’s not very tough if you’re young haha just a compression fitting made of plastic.
How much it can cost in peach orchard per acre in year 2021, including main line and drippers. Also what about its life cycle in hot seasons.
Nice instructional video - but would’ve been nicer if presenter had white or light colored shirt on! The black parts “disappear” against his black shirt background!
If I have two main lines coming a swivel tee adapter does the 220 gal max apply to both lines? Or are they separate giving me 440 total?
The 220 applies to both, so it will be 220 total.
Can you mix & match different emitters? Or does the whole system need to use the same emitter? Maybe one plant needs 2GPH and another can use .5GPH ?
Hey Victor, you can definitely mix and match! We encourage it. Sometimes a plant needs more water so you would use an additional dripper, or just a higher flow dripper.
It is great. I lost my manual instalation and setup booklet. how v=can I download setup manual ?
Hey Mohammad, sorry for the delay, we missed this message. The drip guide can be found here: www.digcorp.com/wp-content/uploads/digcorp/DIG_Drip-Irrigation-Guide_web.pdf.
