You're a very brave lady, Camila. It's not an easy song to sing. But to perform it in front of Phil Collins, of all people! I've been in the music business for over forty years and I could not sing that song in front of *any* member of Genesis. Well done and long may you continue singing. Thank you.
It continually amazes me how rude some people can be! This sweet young lady bravely sings a very hard song, beautifully I my add, and people can't stop their selfish conversations for 4 freaking minutes!!! I literately wanted to climb through my computer and slap those ignorant people on the back of the heads!!! Beautifully done young lady!!!

It's kind of sad to see Phil becoming more frail, but it is equally beautiful to see the young generation able to enjoy the wonderful music he and his fellow musicians created for the world. Did you notice how gracious he was by being so engaged in her performance. He is a class act. And well done that young lady.

We all get more frail if we're lucky enough to live long enough. Sad, yes; but it has happened as long as living beings have been alive. Her performance was wonderful!
I think maybe written by Banks/Rutherford - a song about the cruelty of the ageing process - The irony is not lost on the moment the child sings to the ageing Phil Collins. Well done young lady, it's a difficult song to sing at any age. Collin's voice on this album was simply awesome.

I had the privilege to see Genesis 6 times in the mid to late 1970’s seen Peter Gabriel 4 times in Buffalo NY alone

You ever watch movies where two people share a special connection and the crowd is oblivious? That is what this reminds me of.
At 3:15 mr Collins seems to tell his wife to stop talking to him because he is listening to camila Phil is such a decent man
I have no idea what Phil must have thought. I can, however, tell you that I was astonished!!! Such a full and powerful voice from such a little girl... amazing ! You can be proud of that performance for sure.
This song is about aging, and Phil sang it when he was 26 y.o. and now he is 70 y.o. I can only imagine what he felt
I was teary-eyed through that...beautiful..and I'm sure Phil was very moved and honored.
She´s great, but the best of all is the smile and happiness at the end when she takes the photo with Phil. That´s what music is for, folks!

Outside of the rude assholes talking through this performance, I was very moved by not just her performance, but Phil's attention to it. .I think he was probably very moved by it.

It's really a stunning song by itself and given Phil's place in life, I'm sure he gets reflective. And this song is a wonderfully reflective song. At least for me.

Indeed. I hope those people aren't the ones that Phil chooses to associate himself with. Because those are the people who pay for the connection to him and not the cayuse for the greater good. And those are the worst kinds of people.

The song was perfect. About a woman losing her looks, and youth. Just as Phil has. We all have. Remember at our prime that's the best were gonna look. But that's where personality comes in.
Phil seems to have it he has regrets, pain , success, skill. Aged. Depression. Hopefully he can now feel the love he put into his art. Thanks for being inspired by Genesis, and stay young.

This girl is a great artist. This really drove me to tears.
Ripples is my all time favorite Genesis song. As a teenager I carried around all of my precious Genesis records everywhere I went back in the 80's. To see this young lady sing this incredibly moving song so beautifully made me cry, I also cried because of how rude and inconsiderate these Jerks are that are talking through the whole performance, not giving the honor and respect to the lady performing she deserves and to the living LEGEND she is singing to! I love you to the moon and back Phil, thanks for all the great memories every one of your songs bring me back to. God bless.

Love Phil Collins and GENESIS, Selling England by the Pound was the first album I heard and was hooked in 1973, I was devastated when I heard he was not well and cried after watching the last Genesis concert, and just lost it after watching this. That old smile and English humor he wore so well has left the building, but what a warrior and classy guy he still is.

Phil looked stunned. It's so awesome that music that he co-wrote way back in the 1970's is sung back to him by a child in 2018. If I was Phil, I would have turned into an instant squonk - a pool of bubbles and tears... just a pool of tears. Awesome stuff! I hope you get a backup band for her someday. Keep up the great work. I hope you shared this with the whole band of Genesis.

Her singing was fabulous, and I also like the blue dress, so the angel was a bluegirl. But my favorite part of the video was her expression at about the 4:04 mark. If ever I were to meet Mr. Collins, her expression at that point is about exactly what I'd be feeling on the inside.

I was at this event and nobody else there was talking except for the people at Phil's table, including his ignorant ex-wife. How sad that this little girl's amazing voice had to compete with the chatter in the background instead of the total silence that she deserved. She didn't waiver though! She persevered and kept smiling and performing like a pro! I can also share that she received a standing ovation from most of us present. Again, well done Camila!

In my highschool days and #1 Genesis fan - I often skipped Ripples, too soft or something. As of late I hear it's beauty. AND THIS WAS SPECIAL.....a tear trickled down my face

You would do well to treat people the way Phil Collins has - I don’t know him personally but it’s obvious by his videos (documentaries especially) that he knew the names of every one on his crew and treated them with respect. I admire him so much. I’ve been a fan since I was a child younger than you are (I’m 52 now). He said he didn’t grow up religious and I know he was jaded by those awful “religious” people on TV but he sure treats people (from what I’ve seen and people say in interviews about him) like Jesus does! I pray he comes to know Jesus and that you do! Phil didn’t like to sing and play drums very much but what a talent he is and if you play drums and piano ½ as well as you sing then Wow! You are uniquely talented. Are you part of Phil’s Little Dreamers? I just read another post that you are. What a wonderful opportunity you have been given. I know you will pay it forward when you become as successful as Phil! You have a bright future ahead of you for sure! I look forward to seeing what you can do. Just please stay humble. Lovely performance. It's really moving to moving to watch and hear this. It also saddens me to see Phil so frail these days. I grew up listening to, and loving the music of Genesis; those melodies, the story telling, the musical complexity, the emotion and power that came out of their music. It's never been bettered.

yes so many occasions I have known when people are oblivious to what surrounds them; content to be cuckoo cocooned within conversations banal and irrelevant compared to the beauty of more or less anything that might chance by fleetingly in this existence, especially when deeper and profound emotions are stirred, which this song undoubtedly does. Camila's voice surrounds these people and Phil is almost having to crane his head forward to hear and it is difficult to watch for this reason. Emotions directly or subtly expressed as in this song are frequently misunderstood smothered and ignored as soon as they are expressed in this world. Songs like this are our chances to feel and express to one another the beauty and finality the love and sorrow...but people prefer gossip and clik culture remote viewing nowadays, Thank

The entirety of this video brought tears to my eyes. 🥺💞 The song itself, one of my favorites, does it but Camila's powerful voice, Phil's undivided attention all warmed my heart. Thinking of singing this song to the great artist who originally sang it and the age difference between the two was so very touching. The interaction between the two of them at the end of her performance was also very beautiful.

wow. i love this album and song... modulations are genius. this rendition is honestly beautiful... shes so young yet she can sing it with such emotional diction. i feel like phil literally thinks at some moments "wow, shes seeing this emotionally in a similar way and is using that to her potential in this moment" or something along those lines lol i talk weird but yeah. absolutely beautiful
