Love the look of that Strobe, and that G10 Cryo is the one they should have made from the start, if you ask me. Those imported Emersons are pretty interesting, and same with that Thistle. I knew the Shuffle would take off - no surprise that it comes in more colors. I'd love to try out that Camber. I love that their 40th anniversary knife, the Ruby, is a new design, not just a logo'd Leek or something. Great work giving us a good look at everything, and keeping it under 15 min.
I dig the G10 cryo (I just purchased a cryo II a few days ago), but I wish they would have just made the G10 a little thicker instead of including a steel liner. Minor gripe though I guess.
The new cqc4, cqc6 and the zt 562 are all coming to my house! I just need to wait 10 months til they get in stock... I am thrilled about the M390 steel being used for the 562....one of my fave steels..
The CQC-8K is supposed to have a 3.5 inch blade. I for one sort of like the fact that most of the kershaw emersons will have 3 inch blades....cops in my area aren't too friendly so having a 3 inch blade is pretty much all I can get away with :/
Thanks for giving us a preview of this year. The angle and zooms are not as good. The side view is not needed. Also please ask when will they will available and price point. You have provided better details in the past. I'll keep buying from you regardless :)
Thank you for the coverage guys! One suggestion, don't constantly zoom in so far. Its a little awkward to watch and its noticeably making you adjust the focus every couple of seconds.
Kershaw for the win. That's a lot of reall interesting blades. Kinda wanted a cryo 2 kinda wanted a knockout. But now I want all of their Emerson line and that the black wash cryo is a must good job
G10 Cryo...(need that on a black Cryo II as well)...affordable Emersons...the colored stand-off on the Ruby are really nice and ought to be carried over to other models. Looking good, Kershaw.
Great job, Jim. BHQ, you gotta get a higher angle on the counters. Video quality is great, but the camera work for ZT and Kerahaw was kinda poor. Angles, zoom, etc. Still love you guys.
Wish I was a little taller so I could have given you a bit higher of an angle too. I have noted the zoom and tried to correct through the show. Thanks for watching
Perhaps you could ask the Kershaw presenter to hold the knife facing the camera. The scale of the nice spends most of the review facing the ceiling rather than the camera. I'm excited about these knive and appreciate the video coverage. Just wish I could see the entire knife!
Love the new Kershaw stuff and especially the Emerson collabs. Don't change the Diskin (sp?)! I love the way the overlays look in the sample, please don't cheapen it. Great job team Kershaw!!!
Checked the website and I really like the Siege hawk- finally something solid and yet affordable for a car trunk! But a bit off by the "Steel: Stainless steel" specs on some knives. Hope this is at least 8Cr13MoV, not some 440A or 440B
Damn,,, why can't he hold the knives where we can see them? He's holding the knife where he can see them but we can only see the inside of the knife rather than the profile. So frustrating because the quality of the video was so good and yet we still didn't get to see the knives.
He didn't even mention the new black on green Knockout. I'm curious about the Camber because on Kershaw's site it has a recurve blade and in the video it has a standard drop point hopefully someone makes this clear soon.
aaw, guys...camera angle?? hard to see. very clean blades! like the direction theyre going. black stonewash rocks! must have the cqc5k, maybe the friign sweet amplitude as well.
Nice selection of new knives. Can't wait to see them in person. Note to cameraman: the low angle approach doesn't work for a 10 minute video. Get up high and shoot down on the knives. Better perspective...
The "K texture" grip is a little gimmicky to me. Of all the things you could do to your knives for texture they use the Kershaw K. I love Kershaw and I am excited to try the new knives but, I'm not excited to see K grip on all the g10 scales. How any years now have we been looking at black and silver Kershaw knives? Now black silver and K grip.
The video work was not good. The angles were wrong and therefore distorted. The Kershaw rep should have had some direction on where to hold the knives as the video was being made. We did not get good images of these knives.
Do Kershaw's 'imported' (aka made in china) products sell well? I see them in clearance/closeout all the time. These Emersons might sell better than the normal fair, but I don't see buying them. Why not Japan or Taiwan for your 'value' line, instead Kershaw?
Saw pre-orders are open...but curious about the Camber before I pre-order. The site photo shows a blade with a slight recurve, while the prototype does not. Do we know which blade it's coming with? Only interested in the model without a recurve. Thanks.
I know that the Camber model had some changes made to it once the prototypes were done, and I believe this is one of the changes. Some people are calling this the "baby blur" and the blur of course has a recurve.
The strobe is so sexy looking i'm drooling just looking at it lol. And those emersons look really cool...I'll finally be able to get my hands on an affordable emerson that can actually be used instead of kept in the collection. I don't think I'll be able to decide between the OD green or the coyote brown so I might just have to buy em both :D
Does Kershaw even make knives with back-locks or are they all liner- and frame- locks? I owned a Kershaw Ken Onion knife 15-ish years ago, it was a liner lock, and I ended up giving it away because I am left handed and didn't like it.
Yup angles re way too low...but good vid. I think that it is a big mistake for them to change the Strobe overlay to GFN rather than G10....will make it look so much more like a cheap knife.
I really love Kerahaw, they have some fantastic designs & Zero Tolerance has been knocking it out of the ball park lately but its such a disappointment to see 90% of their knives now are all assisted. Most can't even be converted to manual because they don't have a detention ball. I really liked my ZT0350 when I got it, once I removed the spring assist, then I LOVED it. BTW kershaw, please make a XL Skyline! Like Spyderco did with the Manix line. The Skyline is one amazing little knife but a little small for some people and I'm sure a larger version would fly off the shelves. I would buy multiple myself lol
I really hope Kershaw is selling this version of the Camber and not the recurved version they have pictured on their website. I have better things to do with my life than fiddle with sharpening a recurved s30v blade.
The strobe is great lookin, also really like the look of the thistle and the nura(s). But, alas, i have one concern that ruins them for me, steel. I know 8cr13/14mov isn't that bad, but i would've liked to see more in 14c28n or even more knives moving into 154-CM and S30V. Such beautiful designs but the blade steel ruins it...
I'm fine with them having ZT make emersons style knives with M390 actually really like it and might buy one but why send them to china to be made with 8Cr13Mov. Just disappointing to me
Sorry Stoney Lonsome a lot of jobs are shipped overseas (or to other states) to avoid the liberal supported (and staffed) unions. Unions are the reason jobs flee. Take a look at Detroit for your liberal nirvana.
Brian Folks Both you AND Stoney have fallen into the trap of thinking that there are actually conservatives and liberals. They threw that worm out into your pond and you took it hook line and sinker, both of you. They set the hook on the public yearsssss ago and everyone continues to spew these neat little catch phrases that means absolutely nothing. You might as well say Ravioli and Spaggetios, it make just as much sense. Now, back to my coffee.
No politics for me here, guys. The Chinese line of Kershaws, while perhaps a lot of knife for the money, is beneath the roots and tradition of quality some of us remember to be synonymous with the Kershaw name. Think what you want, but beyond features, buzzwords and stupid assist springs, you're left with substandard materials, junk hardware, sloppy machining and the Kershaw name stuck on it somewhere. Not a happy time for an old Kershaw fan.
In a few years, once all the knife lovers, (mostly blue collar I would think), have put together their, "primary batch", of knives for their own use...the knife market will crash, and then, there will be TONS of bargains......
Damn I don't know what to think about those cheap emersons. I like emerson knives but can't afford to hook into any of them so on one hand I love that Kershaw have brought them to a more achievable pricepoint for me but on the other hand they almost feel like fake emersons. I'm torn! It's like telling people you're going to buy a porsche and then when they ask which model, having to whisper "boxter" hahah
Cryo is a china made knife - hardly bragworthy. If you view kershaw's facebook page, their fans repeatedly comment they arent impressed by kershaws not made in the USofA. After several years of "Ken Onion" designs being featured, it seems like marketing dept wants to tell us so-and-so designed a blade. I haven't heard of 90% of these guys, and I'm wondering who has...How did they ever make em in house without crediting a designer? Funny how the red-haired Jim McNair's hand is clearly to wide for the handle, yet he says how it fits the hand perfectly. For EDC, I prefer them thin, fairly light, and a good 3.5 inch blade for stand off purposes. The original Benchmade 940 Osborne has that profile. BTW, printing kershaw in big white letters on the handle looks cheesy and devalues a great brand.
That amplitude by Rexford. REALLY? He just kinda flat stole designs, don'tcha think? All he did was take the Cryo, put the picture on a CAD program, pull it out a little bit and skinny it up. Then, put a fkn Leek blade on it. He stole from Hinderer AND Onion. smh
Not a fan of Emerson ... Him or his knives.. Kershaw seems asleep at the wheel... Huge interest in the Zero Scandi Grind and Kershaw totally ignores that quite large market segment.. How about a titanium frame lock Puukko ? ... Most interesting thing out of Kershaw is the Camp 14 i recently purchased... Now someone with their head screwed on straight obviously had a hand in that one.. THe Camber should have incorporated one aluminum scale {speed safe} and an opposite G-10 scale... Orange and Black would be a sweet two tone offering... Someone at the design table is either conservative.. unimaginative.. rear view mirror type person... Or the Bean Counters are running the show and Kershaw is becoming irrelavent.. How about some FFG blades .. How about some + 4 inch blade Folders? ... Spyderco has the Paramilitary , Manix 2 , and Sage ... All with S30v ... WTF does Kershaw have to compete? ..
Love the look of that Strobe, and that G10 Cryo is the one they should have made from the start, if you ask me. Those imported Emersons are pretty interesting, and same with that Thistle. A few knives I am extremely excited about. Can't wait to order
Love em all, especially the mini. Love how the chisel grind on the Emerson is on the left side of the blade!!!
I'm super excited about kershaws line up this year especially the Emerson collaboration !
The new cqc4, cqc6 and the zt 562 are all coming to my house! I just need to wait 10 months til they get in stock...
I am thrilled about the M390 steel being used for the 562....one of my fave steels..
now I'm seeing things to be excited about in this video. looking forward to this new knife year.
dont know how i feel about imported Emerson's but i really like the designs. Liking a lot of the Kershaw's and ZT's this year.
I want to see the new Benchmade 484 Axis Folder ;)-
ZDP-189 Kershaw - finally...
To bad that the new 8Cr Emerson's are 3 or 3.25 inches in blade length - we need 3.5 and 4 inch affordable blades
The CQC-8K is supposed to have a 3.5 inch blade. I for one sort of like the fact that most of the kershaw emersons will have 3 inch blades....cops in my area aren't too friendly so having a 3 inch blade is pretty much all I can get away with :/

Really excited for the Emersons! Thanks for the video!
There are 64 knives made in USA by Kershaw currently for sale on Blade HQ
Would love to see the 4040/Ruby without the engravings, looks like a great design
Kershaw really stepped up their game for 2014. Much better than last year's product line, at least imo.
Search for "Kershaw Ruby" revealed nothing on Blade HQ... Are you planning to carry it?
It was limited - 200 pieces, was sold out on Kershaw OF site about 10 days ago in 1 minut 3 seconds
Thank you for the coverage guys! One suggestion, don't constantly zoom in so far. Its a little awkward to watch and its noticeably making you adjust the focus every couple of seconds.
that orange knife is awesome!!!!!!!! its got a lot of what i like in a knife!
thanks for making knives for the working man with designs by Rick Hinderer!

KnifeHQ Heck, I guess unless you're Atlas, you wouldn't have been able to hold that heavy SOB much higher for very long, anyway!
The ruby looks like a beautiful knife but we are still waiting on the ZT0454!!!
I'm not a huge fan of Kershaw. But that Strobe? Is SEXY! LOL Although I REALY wish they would keep the G10 scales...
Some fun new things. Great stuff.
:-)
Love the new Kershaw stuff and especially the Emerson collabs. Don't change the Diskin (sp?)! I love the way the overlays look in the sample, please don't cheapen it. Great job team Kershaw!!!
At 6:34 I thought one of my earphones was gone, that damn sound!
Really excited about the 'Strobe' , I have one on early pre-order. When do you guys expect to be getting them in??
Checked the website and I really like the Siege hawk- finally something solid and yet affordable for a car trunk!
But a bit off by the "Steel: Stainless steel" specs on some knives. Hope this is at least 8Cr13MoV, not some 440A or 440B
Y'all should do a slightly cheaper version of the tilt, maybe smaller
When do preorders open up for all of these? Really looking foward to the cryo 2's and emerson collaborations.
WWOOOOOOWWWWWWWW! all great! and finally some affordable emerson stuff! yes!
Im gonna buy one of the embers @ 5:45 and give it to my chihuahua so he can watch his back.
Ruby! She's a real pretty girl and we really like her!
Damn,,, why can't he hold the knives where we can see them? He's holding the knife where he can see them but we can only see the inside of the knife rather than the profile. So frustrating because the quality of the video was so good and yet we still didn't get to see the knives.

2015 Kershaw- Please make some non- liner/frame lock knives. Thanks
kershaws owning shot show
The "K texture" grip is a little gimmicky to me. Of all the things you could do to your knives for texture they use the Kershaw K. I love Kershaw and I am excited to try the new knives but, I'm not excited to see K grip on all the g10 scales. How any years now have we been looking at black and silver Kershaw knives? Now black silver and K grip.
Ruby looks good.
Any pricepoint on the Hinderer yet? Might be a nice one for my wife.
The video work was not good. The angles were wrong and therefore distorted. The Kershaw rep should have had some direction on where to hold the knives as the video was being made. We did not get good images of these knives.

Thanks for the reply....I appreciate it!
audio channel switches half way through the video...
I already got a blackwash but the Kershaw Cryo G-10 looks amazing!! Also I think I may insta-buy the Emerson CQC-3K tanto :O
The strobe is so sexy looking i'm drooling just looking at it lol. I'll take one of everything! :-)

Was gonna buy the Diskin until he said K texture lol
i want to know the msrp on the emersons ...
What was the knife with the teal scales?
Thee amber locks exelent and good size for me
like that teal leek!
What happened to knife Jen?
Where's KnifeJen???
The strobe is great lookin, also really like the look of the thistle and the nura(s). But, alas, i have one concern that ruins them for me, steel. what about the bladesteel? No talk of steel.
What were the price point on the Emerson's?
45 to 50 bucks ..
thats msrp i mind you
Wow...getting them all
I'm fine with them having ZT make emersons style knives with M390 actually really like it and might buy one but why send them to china to be made with 8Cr13Mov. Just disappointing to me
Nice stuff from what I can tell. I can't really see the knives at that camera angle. Its like a little kid trying to look over the counter
Good salesman!
yayyyy I can finally own an emerson without actually owning an emerson
Sorry... Kershaw marketing dude is wearing me out this year :(. Just one piece of Chinese... "stuff"... after another...
Sorry Stoney Lonsome a lot of jobs are shipped overseas (or to other states) to avoid the liberal supported (and staffed) unions. Unions are the reason jobs flee. Take a look at Detroit for your liberal nirvana.

Thank god for all the creative people out there who modify their knives...am I the only one bored with "textured G 10 scales"?
Please do not put FRN K texture on the Diskin!!! The G10 looks great please keep it.
Nod, nod, nod.
Really bad angle, trying a bit higher so the knives are displayed better
As soon I heard value Emerson, I just lost my self.
I see 5
In a few years, once all the knife lovers, (mostly blue collar I would think), have put together their, "primary batch", of knives for their own use...the knife market will crash, and then, there will be TONS of bargains......

cool, I'm as old as the brand. Well, cool for them, maybe not so cool for me...
I want the Ruby i was born in 74...
Fail; still no 1950 Tremor replacement.
Stop making everything speed safe!!
To bad you just never know if your getting the china kershaws or the so called US kershaws.
Cryo is a china made knife - hardly bragworthy. If you view kershaw's facebook page, their fans repeatedly comment they arent impressed by kershaws not made in the USofA. The one who came up with the "K-Texture" Needs to be fired.. it makes the knife look soooooo cheap.. cant stand it:P
Where's Sarah. She's hot!
Not a fan of Emerson ... Him or his knives.. Kershaw seems asleep at the wheel... Huge interest in the Zero Scandi Grind and Kershaw totally ignores that quite large market segment.. He should stop moving his hands so much
yeah terrible salesman. i will give about 8$ for these knives
k texture handles are gross
Springs fail and the knife is useless, wasted efforts for a fail blade.
I hate 8cr13mov..
i wish they'd make some knives that incorporate hardware for the kimuras so they could send me some screws n spacers n shit.
now I'm seeing things to be excited about in this video. looking forward to this new knife year.
