Having just completed Gloomhaven and Forgotten Circles, I was looking for another co-op game until Frosthaven comes out. Heard about this and having seen this excellent video, will definitely give this a try. Thanks for such a great explanation of a complicated game.
You've made an error here. At the end of the day if you are exhausted, you don't set your Energy to 4, you gain 4 Energy. So if you were Exhausted but had 1 Energy, you'd end up on 5.
Very clear and concise though I think you only have to equal not exceed the health total on the Combat encounter to defeat it. I don't have the rules handy at the minute, but I can see from the video that there is no enemy response on the card if the cube total equals its health suggesting that is when it is defeated.
Is discarding a card from the top of your deck always an option for losing cubes? If you can't lose cubes you discard a card for each one not lost; but can you trigger an affect that requires you to lose cubes and choose to discard cards instead.?
We tried our first tutorial game- when the torn card symbol comes up in combat to discard the last card in the sequence- is that the card itself or the one previous- and if there were hits removed do we remove those hits
During Combat - when playing a card with a lightning bolt, and pairing it with an attribute - to pair it "successfully" do you still have to meet the 1-2 cube requirement of that attribute? If I have zero aggression, can I use a lightning bolt card linked to aggression to get the other pairings that I do have attributes in?

Hi Greg, thanks for the kind words! Glad the video was helpful for you. Hope you enjoy Tainted Grail!
Really good explanation! I couldn't have explained this complicated of a game this smoothly.
Thanks a lot, appreciate that!

Awesome! Thanks for the video, Dylann, very good explanation, very elucidating.
Greetings from Brazil!
Thanks Raul! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Excellent video 🙂 The only thing I found myself confused about was the Magic Key during Encounters. Do you simply spend Magic to activate that bonus?
Yup, in order to connect magic keys, you need to pay 1 magic from your personal supply. Glad you enjoyed the video!
