@CheeseDud Haha fair enough, I've played around 500 games so A Feast for Odin is still in my top 10%, and this is the 3rd year in a row it makes my top 50, but yeah it's definitely slipping a bit... I'll let Dylann defend his Just One position himself :) Thanks for watching! - Carlo
I’m surprised both AFFO and Dune Imperium dropped for you after playing the expansions (which I think make both those games much better). I empathize with what you said about ranking Uwe games. It’s so tough, because there are around 8 (of the 12 or so total Uwes I’ve played) that are legitimately in my top 25 but other than Agricola at #1 it’s almost impossible to separate them. I also have AFFO lower among the other big-box Uwe games that I enjoy tremendously, but some days I question that and, like you, I still think it’s still a phenomenal game that I’d choose over 90%+ of the other games I’ve played.
@draheim90 I agree about the expansions making both those games better. I think aside from the thing I said about Uwe games, there are 2 main reasons those both dropped: 1. too many other games climbed up (or made the list for the first time ahead of them), and 2. I think I was expecting those expansions to drastically change my mind about those respective games, and although they're definitely better (in particular I think The Norwegians really improves AFFO) they still aren't games I'm going to be the one requesting to play. That could change after more plays though because I've only tried Norwegians and Rise of Ix once each. - Carlo
Carlo’s Res Arcana drop was my biggest shocker hahaha. Wow. I just taught two gamers and we had a great time, but it was on BGA. Alas, it’s so fun watching these :)
Appreciate the feedback on it! I thought he killed it. (Just a small note, and it may just be a grammar thing, it's actually "Carlo's" since he doesn't have an 's' at the end of his name. Just wanted make a note of that because I also often get called Brendan, Brandon, and many other B names.) Thanks for tuning in and be prepared for more Carlo cam in the future!
@@AllYouCanBoard I appreciate the correction, and I was pretty sure it was Carlo, but I'm too lazy to correct grammar on my phone and definitely too lazy to go and search. But I never mean any disrespect
I completely understand Carlos' perspective on Res Arcana. I only want to play it exclusively 2p and only if we can play multiple games because it's either too long at higher player counts or it falls flat for first time players.
It's a real shame because that engine-building aspect and the tough choices of which cards to play vs which ones to discard for essences is just SO GOOD.
@@zmollon interesting. It didn't feel that long since the goal is who can build an efficient engine quicker than the other to score points. I never felt like it dragged at 2. To each their own!
Hey guys.... glad to have a new Top 50 from y'all! Does Braiden rate games on BGG? It's always nice to know what games someone's tried that didn't make their lists. I know Dylann does rate games on BGG, and Carlo does not, but wasn't sure about Braiden. Thanks!
Carlo here. If you're referring to our joint AllYouCanBoard account on BGG, I think Dylann rated those few games around 2 years ago and I don't think he has revisited those. I plan on making my own BGG account one day soon and will try to rank as many games as possible from the ones I've played. If/when I do, I'll mention my username in one of my Curating My Collection episodes. Thanks for watching!
@@AllYouCanBoard Yeah... ever since about two years ago, when I started a database for content creators' top lists, I've kinda been a BGG stalker. lol... don't worry; my OC disorder is mostly contained to harmless activites. :)
Great first entry for the 2023 list, always fun to see how much movement occurs within a top XX of all time. Just curious, I noticed you have Challengers! sitting ok the Kallax behind Carlo, any content on that game in the channel? If not, any quick thoughts for someone who has been considering it but unsure how often it would hit the table and who the target audience is. Thanks!
Thanks! You might want to check out my recent 2022 tier list and top 10 games of 2022 videos... without spoiling too much, Challengers! gets some love. We plan to play it a whole lot more soon and review it on the channel in the new year. - Carlo
I’ve had Wavelength for a few years now and only got it played once. To be fair I don’t get lots of opportunities but I definitely regret the purchase. Looking to sell it now.
Wavelength is definitely one that is VERY group dependent so I can totally see why some may bounce off of it. Sorry to hear you regret the purchase. Hopefully it can find a more suitable home and you can get some cash for a better game :).
Crosstalk sounds a bit like Phantom Ink which is the party game that I am really growing to love, Just one and So clover are a bit better but I do like Phantom Ink is pretty good.
Great video boys. I will say this, I believe Fun Facts is a better game for laughs and stories than Just One. I believe it's easier to teach and holds people's attention better than Just One. Don't get me wrong, my top three party games are Just One, So Clover, and Fun Facts, so I still love Just One, but it's getting played less than Fun Facts. Keep up the great work!
Thanks, Danny! I (Carlo) am the only one who hasn't played Fun Facts yet but from what I know, what you're saying makes sense. Sounds like you get to know people better through Fun Facts, kind of like Wavelength because of the discussions that would arise. Looking forward to trying it.
@@AllYouCanBoard Hahaha, this is embarrassing. I just checked my BG Stats Wavelength and Fun Facts were tied for the most played party games. Great call out. And yes, similar feelings, except people don't experience nearly as much pressure in Fun Facts.
Keep in mind we're Canadian, so I was referring to Canadian dollars. The price might have changed since it started selling a lot more copies, but pretty sure I paid $45 or $50 when I bought it around 3 years ago, and I've seen it for even more than that in some local stores here in Winnipeg. - Carlo
Haha, thanks Ryan! I won't get too comfortable there because I think the other guys have some great diversity in their upcoming picks as well. But I'll take it for now. Thanks for watching! - Carlo
Usually because the interface is a little faster and setup/calculation are done automatically. There are some automated versions of games on TTS but we've generally preferred BGA. Hope that answers your question! - Braiden
@@AllYouCanBoardthank you for answering. I just see so many youtubers preferring BGA and I don't get it. Tabletop is more like sitting down and playing games with your friends. BGA may be better for learning, but tabletop is more fun. Just my two cents worth. :)

The concept of the minute per person is great.
Glad you like it! We enjoyed it too.
Love the zoomed in reactions from Carlos 😂
We used a second cam for these so every episode it will focus on someone else just for some added fun moments!

Best way to end the year! That Res Arcana drop was a shocker. Can’t wait to binge the rest of these videos!

I use Res Arcana as a 2 players only and I love it, it has not downsides this way
Totally fair. I might try to keep it to 2 players only going forward.
