Never knew you did bmx. That's awesome. I did it for 30 years and pretty much broken or dislocated every bone in my body. Now I have arthritis and among other disability problems not fun lol but bmx was when I was able to do it
could you do a one setup challenge where you only have one setup on a couple different track surfaces and you are only allowed to change your tires? this could be a fun tuning challenge. love your videos!
Appreciate your detail in videos!! Since you almost always have a hat on, have you thought about the hat brim clip for the GoPro as an option for POV? That would allow you to still talk as well.
Hey Ryan! I’m the guy that talked to you at new reds saying I’ve been watching you for a while and just moved to Florida! I just finished my b6.2 and hope to see you at new reds once they get done with the new layout!
These videos are awesome, I know it’s over a year later, but I’ve been watching a ton of your tips videos, I’m buying my first buggy tomorrow and racing Saturday
Ooh, I hope you do a little reconnaissance of Billy’s Pit bench when you get there. It would be interesting to see if he’s got a little something up his sleeve. That SDX4 Evo is a little long in the tooth by now. There must be a reason why he’s calling the big guns to race with, haha! BTW, I’m glad you clearly showed on camera how to install that gearbox pinion gear - I’ve tried explaining it to folks in forums when they say that the wrench doesn’t fit. Anyway, Good luck at Newred’s!
Awesome vlog style vid! I worked on my car while watching this, felt like we were working on our cars together haha. Just a crazy idea but it would be cool if you had a live session of working on your car!!
The graphic on the mousepad shows "Sniper" hero from the game Dota :-) Greets from germany!! Keep up the good work and awesome content, especially for me who got back into rc and try also to get into the 1/10 scale 4wd racing !!
Yea man I use Never Dull too when polishing my RC balls and pins you just have to be careful because the never dull fabric can get caught in the tip of the drill and tighten up on your fingers! But love the content my man keep I'm coming! O and you almost got me with the baking your car body haha.
Having just painted a body and wanting to back to back layers, I found holding it over my toaster was plenty of heat, and you can feel where its at. Would hate to find the oven was too hot 5mins later!
Hey Ryan I just had a comment and let you know that I for one have loved everyone of your videos. I live near OCRC and CHR. Hope to run into you at one of these tracks one day.
Ryan, glad I stumbled on to your channel! I am a father of three and all four of us have been bitten by the club RC scene to some extent. My 13 year old son and I have dug in the deepest. With chassis protectors, when you do a rebuild, I assume you replace it? I have made couple of changes to my carpet buggy that required access through the protector. Since I'm trying to fund four drivers with multiple cars, I don't necessarily want to change out newish chassis protectors every time we make a change. Thoughts?
I race on high bite wet clay and hard pack outdoor dirt so I dont know if it's the same on carpet but they aren't really necessary to run you might add 1 or 2 club race days to to your chassis. Most of the guys running indoor don't run them and no one does outdoor but you could also put holes in the protector over the screw heads so you can still access them.
What’s the brand of electric screwdriver? Love the videos....haven’t seen a new one in a while hope all is well...you are a saving grace to the rc community thanks for the help..come back to Omaha!!
It really depends on the kit. Usually the community that runs that gear will know pretty fast. I had a 4wd where it was the hinge pins and arms. Best thing is to research the car you want to race and read about them.
Don’t know if you’ll actually see my comment since it’s been 4 years since posting this video but just came across your channel a while again and have since subscribed. Just recently got into racing off-road after spending the last 5 years racing dirt oval. In my dirt oval cars I run all ceramic bearing but wanted to see if there was pros and cons on running since I noticed that you run steel bearings. Thanks in advance🤘🏻
Really enjoy your videos, very informative, thanks. Question, do you put any grease on your hinge-pins, ever? Also, love how you use the classic Tamiya 50038 wrench tool, is there an alternative, everyone got one 😂
Hey Ryan, Me again... So sorry to bother you, but I am looking to get back into the RC scene and more so racing than anything else... & Since I live in the Naples/Ft Myers area just south of you and seeing how that puts me in the middle of SS, Mills Pond and Coral Springs tracks - I was wondering if you had any guidance, insights, recommended "starting" classes, etc, knowing these would be my closest clubs. & PS - I will be making the drives to tracks, if not all 3 here shortly - merely to gauge and scope how many people and what classes are running most popularly and I figured that'd be the best way to start prior to any "racing investments" ($) being made (spent)...As I feel this would be one of your tips for me anyhow. ;) Thank you for your time and energy! Keep up the great work!! Loving the videos for inspiration!!! (& I hope to run into you @ SS one day!)
Hi Ryan,is tlr/losi bringing out a new 1:8 scale Truggy soon as all the current models are no longer available and are as rare as rocking horse shit in the uk😩 love the vids btw, keep doing what you’re doing👍🏽
Hey Ryan, love what you do, i have a question for you not related to RC :) what’s the model of your Oakley sunglasses?? Thanks man, keep up with the videos!
Dude I just tried that body trick with putting it in the oven except I left it in there for 6 minutes and it was a pile of char...just joking ... Awesome video 👌
I know cause of Covid there isnt a lot of racing going on (if any) but Im in NC, anyone know of any off road rc tracks in my state? I've only ever heard of one.
On the ‘oven trick’, probably best to not do this kind it thing in a oven you also use to bake food in... chemicals and crap that come off of it, might get left behind in it and get on the food the next time you use it... it’s probably marginal, but still a risk you’d best avoid.
Pro tip: I believe there are these things they make called "head straps" for GoPro's hahaha.... I'm sure you know that, just messin :) Keep up the great videos!
In case the humor wasn't detected, I don't actually bake my bodies to dry them lol
For a second i was like 👀 oh ok whatever helps you sleep at night man... 🤣🤣🤣
Lol that was a good one
Convection oven.
actually it's a great idea because it keeps all weight down low for more performance. it looks like this: _______
thats how ya get the nice flames on your bodies
At the race could you do a pit walk, talk with the drivers and video the cars so we can see driver setups. Awesome work as always! 🏁🏁💯
Never knew you did bmx. That's awesome. I did it for 30 years and pretty much broken or dislocated every bone in my body. Now I have arthritis and among other disability problems not fun lol but bmx was when I was able to do it
Love your videos mate, watched nearly all of them since I got back into RC racing. It’s a big thank you from England 🇬🇧
Love the skate park session!
Showing you can do it with the box wrench!!! Ok never thought of holding shaft that way!! Thanks for tips without saying!
Hoped that would help someone!
I like the cleaning detail. I definitely do this twice a year or rebuilding after damage.💯👍🏼😁
I heard that too. If you ride bicycles and exercise. That will prepare one for a race day. Funny joke at the end too lol.
Ryan, Bro you kill it. Keep up the good work. Hands down my favorite RC Channel!
could you do a one setup challenge where you only have one setup on a couple different track surfaces and you are only allowed to change your tires? this could be a fun tuning challenge. love your videos!
Hmm sounds interesting! I honestly already do that with the 22x4 lol
They are some proper old school looking sun glasses.
I use wet blue soap steel wool pad then never dull on the hinge pins.. works excellent on my outdoor offroad rigs..
Appreciate your detail in videos!! Since you almost always have a hat on, have you thought about the hat brim clip for the GoPro as an option for POV? That would allow you to still talk as well.
I may have used this technique in the next video ;)
Haha, I say essentially the same thing above, then I see your comment, of course
Sniper from Dota 2 on your mousepad, the best game ever made.
Ryan I love your videos. Your videos made me get back in too raceing rc cars after 22 years
Good luck! Loved the oven trick😂😀
Hey Ryan! I’m the guy that talked to you at new reds saying I’ve been watching you for a while and just moved to Florida! I just finished my b6.2 and hope to see you at new reds once they get done with the new layout!
Great meeting you dude!
Great video hope the race weekend went well for you.
You'll see how it went down soon!
I'm amazed at how close this design is to the 2016 xb4
I wish I had every bit of your organizational skills...😎 great video!
These videos are awesome, I know it’s over a year later, but I’ve been watching a ton of your tips videos, I’m buying my first buggy tomorrow and racing Saturday
Remember following Billy Easton and Mark Pavidis when they ran for AE
They are OG's for sure!
@@RyanHarrisRC definitely. Mark's boy Ryan is racing these days
Great videos! I really enjoy watching them.

Might have to do that one day!
this is the way i do it to, a good RC vlog or race playing on the computor while i work on my cars.
Ryan your videos are great and because of them I bought a RC and will start racing so thank you. Next will be getting my grand kids racing ...
Nice one Ryan I love these kind of videos.
NewReds is making a new track layout, will you be coming to race whenever they finish?
I'm sure I will be over there!
Compliments to the chef!
How do you remember how to put it back together? Do you lose stuff or forget how to reassemble? Your videos are the best Ryan!
The graphic on the mousepad shows "Sniper" hero from the game Dota :-) Greets from germany!! Keep up the good work and awesome content, especially for me who got back into rc and try also to get into the 1/10 scale 4wd racing !!
Woohoo new Ryan Harris amazing 😄 hope you’re good bro! 🤙🏻
All good! Thanks for checking on me :D
mouse pad - sniper char in DOTA 2. Good videos, thanks
i got a big ban on that game like a few years ban lol
Yea man I use Never Dull too when polishing my RC balls and pins you just have to be careful because the never dull fabric can get caught in the tip of the drill and tighten up on your fingers! But love the content my man keep I'm coming! O and you almost got me with the baking your car body haha.
Dude that was stupid funny!!
Well done sir!
@Ryan Harris, is the battle held at New Reds? what date, would like to swing by and watch the race
Lol u got me I laughed. Love the videos if I’m ever in fla. I have to come race with u and the crew.
i do like these kinds of videos
I need a magic oven like that!
Where are you with that empty skate park? That’s awesome I’d be running my basher there
Having just painted a body and wanting to back to back layers, I found holding it over my toaster was plenty of heat, and you can feel where its at. Would hate to find the oven was too hot 5mins later!
What type of spray gun was that you used to apply liquid mask? What PSI do you use when spraying liquid mask? Anything else you think would helpful.
That's the sniper guy from DoTA
I don’t even remember the last time I even changed my shock oil, or if I ever did
It's probably turned into graphite grease by now !
That’s Kardel Sharpeye also known as Sniper from Dota 1 & 2.
Love the vids and the awesome help!
Hey Ryan I just had a comment and let you know that I for one have loved everyone of your videos. I live near OCRC and CHR. Hope to run into you at one of these tracks one day.
Have you ever tried to soak bearings in marvel’s mystery oil ?
Black diamond oil is the best 👌!

Good video. I enjoy watching them. What is the most common part that breaks when racing?
It really depends on the kit. Usually the community that runs that gear will know pretty fast.
I had a 4wd where it was the hinge pins and arms.
Best thing is to research the car you want to race and read about them.
D F I was racing short Course Trucks. I just got a tekno eb48. No one here in my state race tekno. Was gonna start ordering extra parts.
I’m hoping we get a vid about how it went!
Ben Burtle gonna come over and have a sesh with you.

Love the video! Is rcca still in business? They don’t respond.
What motor and gearing are you running on your 22x4 ?
Are there parts you always keep extra of?
I probably have an entire car in a spare parts box with me at all times!
Heartstone😍
Be safe bro, wear a mask when your going to close to people. Long Live RC
What kind of solvent do you use for the bearings?
Dude I just tried that body trick with putting it in the oven except I left it in there for 6 minutes and it was a pile of char...just joking ... Awesome video 👌
I'm surprised you don't have a couple cars and just rotate them around.
Sniper from dota 2 I’ll play right now with you lol
Nice! I suck lol but I'll send you a friend request if you want to play sometime! Whats your gt?
@@RyanHarrisRC I havent played in a while but im down its 1997van
What solvent do u use to clean ur bearings??
Where did you buy your RC body oven? I need one or two.
Lmao 5min all paint. Question rear diff 10k, front diff 7.5k. How much is your center?
If I set the timer to 10 mins and put 2 bodies in my oven, will both of them come out like that? 😉
what do you put your bearings in to clean them??
You can use alcohol or acetone
Cool
Use the sodialed app

This was a bit of a joke lol I use a kick space heater at 90 deg to dry my bodies between rounds
The music choice is fire. Who is that at 7:29?
I honestly don't know lol Just some copyright free file I had on my PC
Isn't that dude on the mousepad from Warcraft?
