There's always a feeling of nostalgia in your pictures. Like a quiet lazy afternoon, or a cozy spring, or a touch of warm sunlight after the rain. It's always so comforting.
I love that you integrated more of your personal life/travel in this video! Really a heartwarming video! Japan is such an interesting place for someone who never visited, and combining it with showing more of the family life is something special to me. Thank you for sharing this and keep up the great work!
I had the Sony 35mm f1.4 but replaced it with the 40mm f2.5. The 40mm is extremely light & compact, has all the bells and whistles, and still damn sharp. I'd highly recommend giving it a try. I thought about the Sigma 35mm but wanted something even lighter so went with Sony 40mm.
Gear reviews are everywhere. But the ability to make audience into the story or an atmosphere is how it become more meaningful and timeless. Subscribed!
These photos are beautiful and this is a lovely setup! I soso wish that Sigma would make a 28mm F2 or F2.8 of the i series. That would be my go-to prime for sure
Great timing, I'm taking my a7cii to SE Asia. I'm def taking the kit lens, but I was thinking of taking the 16-35 PZ too. However, I also think I need a faster lens (Sigma 35 2.0) and maybe a telephoto (I have the Sigma 65, but might pick up a small 85 1.8 like Yongnuo).
Been waiting for a travel lens video ever since you got your a7CII haha. I also recently got the a7CII and decided to go with the new Sony 24-50mm f2.8 and Sony 40mm 2.5 as my two travel lens.
Hey man, I love your videos and I think I've almost watched more than half of it. Just wanna ask as someone with a7cii also, do you find yourself cropping the images to adjust the composition better? Especially with 35/50 primes
Loving all your videos. I have the sigma 35 as well and its a beautiful lens! Just wondering how you deal with the high temperatures this time of the year when you go out for long sessions. Thanks so much for your advice and inspirations!
Love your videos! Enjoyed all your pictures, the pov shots when you were hiking were so stabile 4:50, did you use a gimbal for that or was it the osmo pocket 3?
When I go really compact, I only use one Lens, it could be either the Sony Carl Zeiss Sonnar 35mm 2.8 T* ZA or the Sony Zeiss Sonnar 55mm 1.8 T* ZA, for two Lens combo it could be the Zeiss Loxia Distagon 21mm 2.8 T* and the Sony Zeiss Sonnar 55mm 1.8 T* ZA, a very nice and compact set of Lenses.
Omg Adrian that nature walk looked so good. Was it close to Hiroshima? Love the snaps and B-roll 📸. I'm heading to Vietnan in Oct and wanting to get a 35mm prime for the A7IV, contemplating the SIGMA 35 F2 or the Samyang 35 F1.8. Also Meike are soon releasing a 35 but unsure on that one 📸📸📸💫
You have to drive about 3 hours and take a ferry for another 2 but it is not too far. If you don't need much bokeh you can also look into the sony 35mm f2.8, so light and so good
@@adriensanguinetti oh my word, i will indeed have myself a look at that one Adrien, ty. My first choice would have been the FE 35 F1.8 but it has terrible coma smearing wide open (night shots look bad). Ok so 5hrs, glad you enjoyed your day 👍😉📸💫
Hi, Adrien. Really love this video of yours. I'm considering buying a 35mm prime and I have the Sigma 28-70mm zoom. I'm considering the Samyang 35mm f1.8 for weather sealing along with its lightweight feature, but as you said in the video, there's just something about sigma lenses. Do you recommend going for the sigma for that look or is the Samyang not that far off? Thanks.
I have never used the samyang 35 1.8. I used to have the 35mm f2.8 that I loved so I guess the 1.8 can only be better and therefore I think it is a great lens
je suis une fan FINI des petites sigma I series. Je me suis fait le petit trio 24f35, 45f28 et 90f28... ainsi que la 35f2 ;) l environnement de vie que tu nous partage est fascinant. merci
It is great, I don't have it but many people I know that own it are absolute fans. I have the 35mm 2.8 so I don't really need the 40mm but if I had to rebuild my set I would get the 40mm
@@adriensanguinettiI have it paired with an A7III and it is a beautiful lens! Eyeing up the A7CII as an upgrade and found your channel, now I can’t stop watching.

The picture with the little boy sitting on the sidewalk is brilliant. 👌
Thanks :)

Thanks!!
I found the composition in each of your photos to be truly beautiful. They are absolutely stunning.

your video inspires me to take a street photographs, love your composition and colour grading

Nice video! I enjoyed watching it and I learn many things about photography by watching your content, thx!
Awesome, thank you!
Great video, I did 40 days in Spain with the 28-60mm and went great, the Sony 28mm f/2 for low light instead of your 35mm.
Very nice. I've been eyeing the Sony 40mm 2.5G for a lightweight set up on my A7C.
Gorgeous images as always :)
Many thanks!
Absolutely stunning 😮 thank you for sharing!
Thanks for your comment :)
Loved this video Adrien! And I love you too!
Hahaha thank you :)
Now that you've been working with the A7C II for a while - what do you think about the viewfinder compared to your former A7 IV?

beautiful video, and also informative!
Would you consider the Sony 35mm f1.8 instead of the Sigma? It is considerably lighter.

I got almost the same setup as you! Except I use the Sony FE 40mm 2.5 G which is an interesting focal length to play around with

If this would have a reasonable viewfinder, i would consider it.
Through my sleepy eyes I thought it was Fujifilm XE-4 (with a couple of compact primes) and felt kinda happy because I own one))
Got rid of the X-E4 and now very happy with only the a7cii ;)
@@adriensanguinetticurious why you got rid of the XE4? I absolutely love mine

Great video! Thank you! What do you think about sony 40mm 2.5?
i like it. with the A7CR it reminds me of the Sony RX1 II

What accessories did you use along with the lenses
Would you say a low end zoom on the Sony matches the GRIII? Was the Ricoh an option if you wanted to go light?
Amazing video
Thanks!
Can you add the camera strap you use to the description?? Thanks!
Will try but it is really a random cheap strap from amazon ^^'
what mic do you use if you don't mind me asking?
Woah ! The shot at 0:48 might make me purchase a Sony lol. I haven't had one since the A7 MK1 !!! lol.
Haha the subject was also good ;)
What camera strap are you using?
Hi Adrien, i subscribed to your Patreon to see the editing sessions, but the last one was 2023. Don't you do it anymore?
Thanks for your comment and subscribing. Yes I did them for a while but now I still provide one monthly preset but without the recording.
What kind of font did u use for ur thumbnail?
Thanks for another awesome video! I guess a good third lens might be the sigma 90mm/f28 or Sony 85mm/f1.8 for portraits or a little reach.
Exactly, I am actually considering getting that Sigma lens so if I do I will definitely talk about it in video ;)

How is the distorsion on the sigma 35? you have to correct a lot on raw files?
Distortion and vignetting is quite strong but once you apply the correction profile in lightroom it looks good
Where is that place?
It's Okinoshima in Shimane prefecture ;)
@ thank you man! Impressive location!
