As an MK4 owner, it's great to see this content. As far as the leaf.. believe that's from a New England Black Oak tree, circa 2007. 😄

Bought a 1.8T GTI manual in 2020 in CT 110,000 miles always a Fan of the GTI man learning and fixing that car I’m about to reach a year in the car, been so fun

These videos are fantastic. I just recently picked up an 02 1.8t mk4 jetta, that's needs quite a bit of work, that I'll be doing most of (hopefully all of) the work that's needed. And my knowledge surrounding these cars is next to none. So thank you for taking the time to "teach this class" ill definitely be going to the website to order some... more than some parts. Keep on keeping on, again thanks for putting all this info out in a video format.

Nice to see fresh Mk4 content. Inspires me to work on the one I have sitting on jack stands in my garage. Just got a hybrid K04S made in the USA 🇺🇸 and I’m in tear down mode. Turbo seals puked on the stock k03s a day after I finished the timing belt, water pump, engine mount job. I thought I was one notch off on timing at first. Love VW fix something break something life.

Lots of people love those poly bushings. When I used mine after 3 tracks days they deformed and the pin in the middle was loose. I'm surprised lots of people haven't complain about them.

really good video! I will probably have to change the whole front suspension on my 2001 golf 1.8T

Those struts look well fine :D Being the original struts, I would probably not even replace them if they feel good, don't leak or don't fancy a whole new suspension.

@@fcpeuro My '04 GTI 2.8L 24v VR6 is due for a complete refresh of the suspension and auxiliary components supporting the engine. The car runs well, with minor discrepancies but I'm interested in a full refresh to regain confidence in the car's reliability. A few parts of the refresh are intimidating: timing chain/guides/tensioners, engine mounts and clutch. Is there any chance FCP Euro might make how-to DIY videos on these jobs on my car?

I hit a curb the other day and bent my front rim. Upon quick inspection wheel is straight, but the whole wheel seems to have shifted back about half inch. Its no longer centered in the wheel well. The shock, lower control arm and subrame dont seem to have anything bent. Any ideas what it could be? I will be looking at it tomorrow, also have a spare subframe i will be comparing to incase its that. Thanks in advance for any help
