Fellow c7 S6 owner here. I definitely recommend picking up a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4s tires. They have better traction for rain than a pilot sport 4 or cup 2 yet the rear end can still kick out if you really want to push it.
Cool new car. I loved that you said the SQ5 is more reliable and faster. I found you after I bought my sq5 last MARCH
Wish this excitement existed with the mk6 as a mk6 owner myself. However! Never owned an audi and probably wouldn't want to turn back after owning one either. More refined VW! Just as excited about this build as the mk6

Just got an AWE race for my s6 and let me tell you... don’t get the touring or you will barely notice its there. Congrats on the new car!
The camera picks up more noise than the car actually makes. it is a very nice car. I believe they have dual glass as well to insulate the sound at the glass level.
Nice informative video and I'm looking foreward for some awesome content! I wish I could get an S6 myself but its so expensive to maintain in germany. The buying price is something I could manage but rising petrol prices and high maintain costs make it impossible for me. I hope in future a door will open that will make it happen.
I did not know about the sport diff not being happy at higher HP, That's good to know. I have been looking for one that has the specs i want but it has been more difficult than i thought. Also for the heated steering wheel is the element all the way around or do you think it can be modified to be a flat bottom one.
As a fellow S6 owner, good luck with the O2 sensors, lol. My advice is just get the straight pipes and delete them. Check engine lights on and off even after replacing them. Even the stage 1 tune will open that car right up, makes a massive difference.

I own a '16 S6 and am just coming off warranty. Are there potential downstream effects from having no screens installed?
What were the main criteria you were looking for when you were searching for this car? Also, would you suggest avoiding the sport differential completely?
As a C7 S6 owner with unitronic 1+ tune... I say the cheapest and best exhaust sound for your audi is deleting the rear 2 mufflers and replacing it with tips, and replacing the mid muffler with a X pipe... take my word for it everybody will tell you ur car sounds perfect
How does the cylinder deactivation work? Can you feel it working? What's the MPG like?
You mentioned something about the Alcantera seats getting warmer faster than leather, and I know you had Alcantera on your SQ5. Can you maybe talk a little more about the differences? I'm watching the markets now to pick up a B8 SQ5 and can't decide on leather or Alcantera. I found one an hr or so away and test drove it but the Alcantera seemed stiff and not comfortable. Why do you prefer it over leather?
The AWE touring exhaust on the 4.0t sounds ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

What air ride module did you install?
I recently replaced the front and rear brake disk/pads on my 18 S6 (28k miles). Dealer quoted almost 4k. I got the service done at around 2k at an independent shop. The OE parts are expensive, no way around that. I was told these cars need brake maintenance every 30k miles. Coming from my X5, M3 and S4, this is on the high end of essential maintenance. Besides that, the car is a pleasure to own.

So I’ve been seriously considering an s6 or a bmw 550. The only thing holding me back is I feel like the size of the car will not be as fun as the smaller sized cars like a 3 series or s4. Like all I can think of, probably due to Top Gear, is that 6 series and 5 series is for middle aged business men who play golf
I love the heated wheel as well, mine wasn’t very warm, (28°C default?) I adjusted in vagcom to 30 or 32° and it’s more to my liking now 👍

I'm new to your channel. I'm wondering how bulletproof is 3.0t? I just brought a c7 A6 3.0t 80k mile on it already. It has been well maintained thought out these years. The car is super clean; should I worry about anything? Nice video btw jealous about your red sport seats looks awesome🤙🤙
Not much!!! They go for a while. Listen for timing chain rattle on start up, that’s about it

So you actually removed the oil filters for the turbos for good ? If so then does that completely eliminate the issue for them of getting clogged ? Thanks man
well if theres no screens then obviously they cant get clogged...

Hello from the UK, I've owned a C7 S6 Avant since new in 2017. It is the best daily driver I've ever owned and there's not really anything I can think of that I'd replace it with anywhere near the same price point. So it's staying indefinitely. As for summer wheel's if you like aftermarket, BBS CI-R look just perfect on the C7.

Transmission is the main one.
Then there is cooling and turbos , but those can be upgraded on the S6.

@@DOMS4. When you drive this model S6 without the Sports package, it's noticably less nimble on turns at any speed.
Thanks for sharing the good content. I picked up a Sepang Blue S6 with several good options the same time you got yours. I’m actually a fan of the factory 20’s that came with your car and would be interested in buying them if you are going to get a different set for your summer tires. Mine came with some aftermarket wheels that are cool but I prefer OEM.

Great video! I feel your pain living in MA (although currently in NH for school - NH has much better backroads) Zoom up 93 some weekend and check out the Kancamagus Hwy if you've never heard of it.
Yes the kancamagus highway is a great driving road. Also rt302 up Crawford notch is a good driving road. I live in NH as well. Advice go on those roads during the week as the weekends are clogged with tourists. Also rt9 or hog back. Starting in Keene and going through Vermont is a good driving road too.

It was in fine condition. More of a peace of mind thing! 45k miles

Yeah but even letting it cool down, it can still happen. Just less!

What does everyone think of the S5 Sportback
Almost bought one. Great car!
I traded my 2016 S6 Prestige (w blk optics and technology, no sports pk) for a 2019 RS5 Sportback. All I can say is, I miss my active suspension. The RS5 is too bouncy no matter the drive choice.
Are you going with the awe touring or the track exhaust?

@@hikeskool since Thanksgiving. Ds1, redstar catless dps, Fi exhaust, boosted euro tcu tune and jxb carrier bearing support upgrade. Just sold my cats from the stock dps to fund srm intakes. 2016 S6. Haven't dynoed yet but I would put it north of 500whp and 600wtq. Ds1 is night and day difference from stock. Ds1 was the first performance upgrade I did
@@hikeskool still waiting to get intakes. Ots stage 1 for now but once I get the intakes I'll get a custom tune. I did find deal on the exhaust for black Friday. And I purchased the ds1 and tcu tune combo from boosted euro as well as the redstar dps. Boosted euro has a deal for ds1 and tcu tune combo that's hard to beat. As far as the tcu tune goes I love it. Drives much smoother and shifts quicker. Launch is set to 3k vs the 5k it spun badly after ds1 tune from the increased tq. With the 3k launch it still spins some but not nearly as bad with the 5k stock launch. Car is fun if you are rolling below 20mph and roll hard into the throttle it will break the tires free momentarily. I plan on going bigger turbos this summer also😀
@@hikeskool think I'm settled on srm +4. I wanna make it to the 800 club and I believe they will get me there. I had the sport exhaust it was nice but not loud enough for me personally. I went with Fi exhaust it is a Valvetronic system as well. It's crazy loud with the valves open and quite with them closed
BTW the valves are in the mufflers
My buddy bought a 2014 RS7 and not even a few weeks later BAM!! Misfire Cyl 5, BAM! Some other boost code, BAM! APR dealer shop said you’d be hunting sensors for eternity. Yeah no thanks...
That's a RS7/S8 thing - common issue, require a valve shim.
