Imagine how i felt riding an r1 for the first time, the bike i had before it was a 125cc dirt bike. But im still only 17 so i cant take it out on the streets or the track to truly test it First time going full throttle in 2nd gear felt like i was entering a different dimension
Fun video. Felt like I was riding with y’all. Could be cuz I watched this while sitting on the couch in full gear but whatever. Don’t act like you haven’t done it before
As long as you respect the bike and it’s power I don’t see why starting on a liter bike is a problem. Get to know the bike slowly and gain comfort and confidence. Everything will align in time
You'll never repect the bike. You don't have the skills. You'll learn bad habits and your riding skill will plateau early. Start low and out ride the bike before you upgrade. Most people can't even ride a 600 to it's limits.
My bro in law has an 08 R1 but he won't let anyone on it. I don't blame him, I wouldn't trust anyone on mine lol. Yea the 6 is so chuckable, feels so planted and even safer the faster you go. Plus the 600s do sound better, that howl rolling through 7k onwards
Hey, great vid! Well handled given it was your first time in a few months . . . Quick question, what set up do you use for your videos ? Camera , Mount , Bluetooth Headset ? -- I aspire to go to the isle of man TT races next year with my brother and would love to get some onboard footage & audio like the stuff displayed in your video... any pointers would be greatly appreciated. (Y)
Having multiple sources of AV is kind of a hastle... I usually just use two GoPro's, each with their own external microphone. Synchronize AV from both sources using a clap, and then mix them together in post production... Hastle, but resulting product is usually pretty nice
literbikes are a nice balance between power, speed, and handling, and ridden sensibly they're quite safe. You're at much greater risk of crashing riding wheelies on a 600 than you are ripping the gears on a literbike.
what do you do when your bike doesn't turn. i.e. you're taking a corner but the bike wants to go straight. I can find a video example if this doesn't make sense
durty1252 is there any room to stop? If not, your best bet is to usually just lean further into it, make sure you're countersteering. show me a video please?
Oh yea I saw that video, scary af... Honestly that rider had so much more usable lean on his tires, it just looked like he panicked and then target fixated. If he had pushed that left clip-on a little harder he could have easily tucked and carried through that corner. If possible I'd recommend you try a track day sometime, really lets you explore the limits of you and your machine. Will help you out a lot on the street if you come into situations like that one. Hope that guy is doing okay :(
i have sena and my brother and i can't get more than 50 yards away without it going to shit and scratching. Even out in the middle of the dunes. lol I don't understand how they can claim it works up to 900m or whatever.
Gallardo Billiano damn bro that sucks. I've been down like 4 times or so on my R6, shit happens when you're pushing the limits I guess. Second gear is way easier to ride out, the only time I ever looped my bike was when I was first learning wheelies and in 1st gear
Gallardo Billiano honestly I can't really say for sure. I didn't take his bike to the Twisties since I wasn't comfortable enough riding it fast yet. From what I've heard though it is a little heavy, but still manageable. If I got an R1 in the future it would probably be the new one since they are more flickable
ive had my r1 for 2 months now after upgrading from my fz07 and i am already bore. its just not fast enough. Should i get an h2 or a turbo kit for the r1
If you’re bored of a 1000cc after two months then you need to slow it down Lmfao. Many people buy liter bikes and are still scared of them after years.
@@dracovoid5290he’s either full of shit or dead right now….i can’t imagine ever getting to the limits of any of the super bike 1000’s cbr1000 rr r1 gsxr 1000 or bmw m1000 rr and being bored 🙄😂
r1 is fast in the end rmps but try that turbo zx10r and you'll swtich time zones lol i regret slapping one on mine because it makes the same power as a h2r
Either you mic was picking up the other bike or your sound system makes the bike's exhaust sound weird, because it sounds like you are riding a two cylinder motorcycle.
Well 750cc isn't a litre 😉 I haven't ridden a 750cc, but I'd sure love to! This R1 is a beast of a bike, but it isn't quite as nimble as a 600cc. I bet a 750cc is a good balance. Have you ridden both?
omg the toce exhaust on the r1 sounds soo good
Nasty ikr so good
I’m having my R1 delivered about a week later! This video makes me happy about me getting the r1. :)
It's a sick bike!
I had a ninja 650 for a month and a half and then immediately got on a cbr 1000, absolutely insane
JakestrCars how you liking the fireblade?
notamotovlog amazing wouldnt want anything less
How was it upgrading from the 650, scary or did u take it easy ???
John Kilshaw it wasn’t scary at all I felt like it was perfect, The 650 felt like it lacked power to me I was mindblown at the power of the 1000
Parallel twin compared to inline 4 lol 😆
Imagine how i felt riding an r1 for the first time, the bike i had before it was a 125cc dirt bike.

Why go full throttle when it was your first time riding it?
BikesAreFreedom not my first time riding it, first time going full throttle
Potato Production entering time warp😂
Full throttle 2nd gear on a 1000cc inline 4. you wouldn't be able to keep the front end down you woulda been on your head.
this is so true. I'm 16 right now and ride a literbike on the track only. The best way I've heard a 2nd gear full throttle pull is like a time warp.
Fun video. Felt like I was riding with y’all. Could be cuz I watched this while sitting on the couch in full gear but whatever. Don’t act like you haven’t done it before
LMAO maybe once
Squids haven't done it
i dont have a motorcycle yet but does millitary autfit count 😂
I can't wait to ride!!! Awesome bike
i have finally found another channel, well done on these vids my dude.
Love the sound of that r1
Is that his new bike?
Breezi ___24 lol yup
notamotovlog you just earned yourself a new subscriber! Awesome vids! Loved them!!
Bro borrowing R1: does long wheelie
Bro lending R1: "bring it down, okay... bring it down.."
:D
lol right
Man those crossplane R1s are so sexy
As long as you respect the bike and it’s power I don’t see why starting on a liter bike is a problem. Get to know the bike slowly and gain comfort and confidence. Everything will align in time
A new rider has no skills.gaining skills on a superbike is not gonna be easy

@@user-yw8ek4dj5v can confirm. I got a 600 and cannot ride it to its limits
This take is so dumb. Beginner accidentally rolls on the throttle? Stalls it hard? Its weight? Its just beyond unforgiving
That. Thing. Sounds. A M A Z I N G. HOLY SHIT
I have so much fun on my 6 and think what is the point of a 1000 then I watch vids like this and kind of wish I got the 1
It was fun man, but I love my R6 too. I like how light it is, and idk if I'll ever be able to wheelie a 1000 as well as what I've got
Find someone local who will let you try theirs!

What gopro do you use? That video quality looks godly
Zlurz haha thanks man. This was shot with a Hero 5
Ray Black see how that works, I'm still waiting to take flight

touristguy87 definitely depends on how close you get to balance point. Much less room for error on an R1 at 12 o clock than an R6
speed is speed, slim
when it comes to wheelies, I guess that it all depends on how much "room for error" you need LOL
That’s how you ride
What bike is this???? R1 20what
That body style is an 09-14.

what set of comms are you guys using on this video?
We're each using a Sena. You're hearing audio from the GoPro's microphones though, there is one for each

Wow crazy power. 50-100 like nothing.
Daniel Juno yea, it's unreal. Great bike
what gear was you in on that last wheelie? and handbrake? why
Gallardo Billiano second gear, and handbrake yea
Nice! Still got the same bike. I got a 07 750 and crash on a wheelie in 1st gear ast month

Think it's just catback, still has catalytic converters and OE headers

I'd turbo but I bet it aint cheap

notamotovlog Thanks for the reply! New Sub bro! Dank wheelies by the way!👌😂
This was my first bike

Christian Hatley yea it's great
How are you guys even communicating lol

Thanks, just looked it up, never knew it existed.
