Yeah me too Jeff, it's got to be on somebody's radar as its one of the last big Fulci movies to come out, that and City of the Living Dead 🤞🤞🤞🤞 here's hoping mate 🤩🤩👍👍

Hey John, I just watched New York ripper for the first time and I’ll not be watching that again anytime soon. My goodness, that ending. I was having a great old time until the last few minutes. Fulci was a real bastard for that one.

Thanks for sharing, John. Another great video. Here's my top 10 from the section 2 list:
    10. Dead & Buried
    9. The Living Dead At The Manchester Morgue
    8. The Witch Who Came From The Sea
    7. Delirium (not sure why this one gets bad reviews. I thought it was a genuinely good film. Felt sorry for the guy at the end)
    6. Pranks
    5. Inferno
    4. Frozen Scream (hilarious stuff)
    3. The Beyond
    2. The Funhouse
    1. Eaten Alive
Shocked that The Evil Dead isn't on here? I've never liked it. I just thought it was really boring.

Thanks for watching and sharing your list mate 😁😁👍👍 actually this is really strange as my video coming out tonight is on the subject of wants in 4k of Section 2 video nasties! Spooky eh 😱😁 there are some great titles on your list and i do agree with you on Delirium!! Really good movie! Nowhere near the mess that people make it out to be! 😳 gotta to say I am surprised with Evil Dead missing, but hey, the best things about seeing people's lists is that they are all unique! And that's good 🤩🤩 cheers again 😁😁👍👍

I've tried to look into if this movie is cut on its various releases, it's a bit hard to find out a definite answer to be honest, I know the nurse scene at the end was the scene that was cut, my copy on VCI looked pretty much intact 🤔 although it does say on dvd compare, that every dvd is uncut, so I would think it could be 🤞🤞🤞 cheers Snow man 🤩🤩👍👍

I'm looking to upgrade some of my Argento stuff to 4K, has there been a 4K release of Suspiria in the UK?

I've got the arrow release of Zombie on blu-ray, I do want to upgrade to the Blue Underground release though - one scene in particular I think would look great in 4K, when they arrive at the island and u get this really eerie shot of the place, I love it.

I remember In the Realm of the Senses coming out in Australia uncut for the first time about 20 years ago, up to that point we could only get it in censored form. I saw it at the cinema when it the uncut version got released and... yikes. I'll gladly never watch that again.
Don't know if I fancy your chances getting a better quality blu of Don't Look in the Basement given that it's public domain. Then again, I've been surprised by how well some films in that position have scrubbed up on DVD and blu, so it might happen
ZCF, or Hell of the Living Dead as I know it thanks to Blue Underground... holy hell. This and Lenzi's Nightmare City make for a truly outstanding double bill. And then add Burial Ground to make it an even better triple feature. And then throw in Cannibal Terror to take it WAY over the top. That film is so terrible there's actually an upside-down shot in the trailer, and the most brutal thing in it is a gross violation of screen direction continuity that I actually had to rewind it to convince myself I had actually seen it.
That cover art on Night Train Murders is from an American release that, incomprehensibly, retitled it The New House on the Left and tried to sell it as a follow-up to that. You'll find it on the film's IMDB entry. I haven't watched it in years but I think I disliked it about as much as I disliked Last House, and I never bought Aldo Lado's justification for it as some sort of Marxist statement about exploitation. I suppose I *should* rewatch it some time, though... I think it's *still* banned here in Australia, or at the very least no one's bothered to try releasing it here again, which they'd probably succeed at doing (given that House on the Edge of the Park and Beyond the Darkness did recently).
Jorge Grau is so open on the old Anchor Bay DVD of Let Sleeping Corpses Lie (again, that's the title I know) about it just being Night of the Living Dead in colour in England (with Spanish cast and crew) because that's exactly what his producer told him to provide that you have to kind of admire that honesty, but you also have to admire that he made a genuinely watchable film in it s own right. It's a far better film than it had any right to be.
As for The Beyond "not making complete sense"... are you implying it even makes *partial* sense? Mind you, I will at least say I'm glad I never saw this on VHS and waited until the digital age, cos panning and scanning some of those compositions would've been the death of it.
And Evil Dead is one of the best movies in the whole list. Far better than most of the ones that had the video nasty fuss made about them.
Right, off to watch Section 3 now...

Hi Inanimate Carbon God, apologies for the late reply and many thanks for this great comment :-) Wow!! In the realm of the senses at the Cinema!!!! I bet that was an experience mate!!!! :-0 I'm really hoping that someone like 88 or Arrow can pick up Don't look in the basement as it's a cracking little movie!!!
I would love some of those movies to get a double or triple bill release as they go so well together and Cannibal terror's absolute disregard for making a decent movie really lends inteself to the overall feel and craziness of the film!! hahaha
Didn't know that about Night Train Murders, wow !! saying that it's a pretty brutal watch!! I was surprised that it got through uncut in the U.K!!!!!!
It's amazing that a director would say that about a movie they made, as most directors want to say they have a unique vision, even though it's blatantly obvious that they did! yeah manchester morgue is a fantastic watch :-))))
haha you're right about the Beyond!!! It's barking mad :-0 but yeah these movies need to be seen in their original scopes as I would think nearly all the video nasties on vhs were a poor pan and scan!
I don't think any of the Nasties crusaders were ever film fan, so they would never have got the sheer mastery of The Evil dead!!!!
I hope you enjoyed section 3, thanks for this detailed comment, you obviously know what you are talking about and once again apologies in getting back to you mate!!!!
      Cheers again :-)

Hi John. Zombie Creeping Flesh - what a hoot 👍 that one fits my personal philosophy of “So Bad, it’s Entertaining” 😜😂 love it. Nighttrain Murders is weirdly a bit of a Christmas film 😳 as the girls are trying to get home to their families which makes the events all the more harrowing. It’s a great Italian Horror but yeah it’s a roughie - man, that Flickknife.. gulp.. 😳 Manchester Morgue is very cool, totally for its time as you said potentially the goriest film, it’s definitely gorier than say Flesh for Frankenstein of the same era. The Evil Dead takes Gold - a masterpiece I guess the tree scene was always notorious and a bit gratuitous for the time. Strangely none of the other Evil Dead’s have anything remotely like that in it. 🤷‍♂️ from a banned VHS to an Uncut 4K as Louie Armstrong once said “What a Wonderful World” 😜🤯😂👍

Hi Wolf, yeah Zombie Creeping Flesh is so nuts!! Love it 🤩 I see what you mean about night train murders being a Christmas movie and it does make the sentiment a bit harsher 🤯🤯 yeah I never thought Manchester Morgue would be so gory but it was much gorier than any movie that came out the same time 😬😁 the Evil Dead tree scene I think Raimi regretted doing it so maybe he would never go that dark again 🤔 yeah I agree that if you had said in the middle of all the nasties hoo Haa that Evil Dead would end up like that I couldn't have imagined it!! 🥴🤣 cheers Wolf 🤩🤩👍👍

Zombie Creeping Flesh (or Night of the Zombies) (or Virus) was released as Hell of the Living Dead on VHS in the Netherlands and the Blue Underground U.S. DVD is also under that Hell title.
Contamination is even more enjoyable in the RIFFTRAX version!
The 88Blu of Cannibal Terror also includes a nice documentary about Eurociné Studios: 'That's not the Amazon!', it's also the only jungle cannibal movie I know where you can actually see cars in traffic on a modern road just behind the bushes😮

I did have it on a Hell of the Living Dead release 👍 the rifftrax version? Is that a commentary 🤔 haha the fact that this "Jungle" looks like a big back garden or a woodland walk makes it even funnier!!! The censors couldn't have watched this movie!! Its to inept to be considered a nasty 🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍
