You can easily check it. Just open the image in paint and check the properties from file option.

The image quality of my image in word worsens a lot when I convert it in PDF. I did all the steps you proposed with Word (instead of power point) but it didn't work. What may be my fault? Or can't I use those steps analogue for word?
