Yep. In the end, the employer that chose me was literally looking for my background and profile which expands across two related industries WHILE a lot of other employers were only looking for 1 of the 2 components of my background and education. The current employer voiced how frustrating and difficult it is/was to find someone with my background while I was frustrated that prior other potential employers passed up everything I could offer. Serendipitous for sure as a friend of a friend sent my friend the job advertisement that was just floating around in emails. It was actually only floating around in women group emails! I'm a male and they found their pick right away once it was exposed to more people.
That's true Bill, it's really hard to fit in whether qualifications stand point or best fit requirements from the employer. I myself @ 47 really hard to find the job that fits. Thanks. You're Awesome.
interviewed 3 weeks ago and was told the process takes this long and now i email and called the provided number no response and front office transfer me to a "full voicemail box" smh at least let me know you're moving with other candidates at the least . This is why i never strop applying and interviewing until i get an 100% legit offer letter. Selfish world we live in.
I have a question. I went through 2 grueling interviews. Got the job offer and was told the offer letter will be sent today. Then I revived an email this later afternoon from HR stating they wanted to speak with me for a few mins. They called, we talked. And on the call they stated that they are at a Halt due to something about pay transparency and minimum wage changes and it changes every year so on and so forth. They asked me a few more clarification questions about salary etc. They then said they will have an answer sometime tomorrow or whether or not they will move forward with the offer or if they will decide not move forward. I am so confused. And I have another offer from another company but this one pays more and it’s a manager role. Why are they doing this. I got all excited. I celebrated the weekend and now this. It actually pisses me off. What does this mean? And if we do move forward can I even trust them now or is this just business? Any help or insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
These people are similar to used-car salesmen: nothing verbal counts. It's not "over" until the offer is signed, received, and accepted. Hopefully they'll come through. But, in case they don't, don't worry - you're going to be just fine!
@@TheCompaniesExpert Thank you. It’s really hard because it’s a great compensation plan and a manager role. It’s also a pretty big healthcare carrier so I didn’t foresee this hiccup. Thanks for the words of encouragement. New Sub. 😌

HR's only function is to prevent the company getting sued. They are not your friend, they have zero interest in you as a person.
great lesson !

"HR" = Dept. of "Humiliation & Retribution" in my experience. You will never win.
