  • 'Oh Death' - Joey Landreth - Live at Regent Sounds
On Thursday July 4th, Regent Sounds had the great pleasure to open its doors once more for the talented Canadian singer-songwriter, Joey Landreth - an event we put together in association with Reunion Blues.
We were treated to a set of performances, some Q&A, and you can bet we have it all filmed. Here's the first of many more videos to come - Joey singing a cover of 'Oh Death': a folk-inspired number, re-infused with Joey's trademark melodies and lyricism. In this video, he is playing his beautiful Sorokin '54 Goldtop, through our 1964 Fender Tremolux and a Source Audio True Spring reverb pedal; and I think we can all agree that it sounds pretty magical.
Be sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook to keep up with the latest events, and to be in with a chance of catching these amazing musicians playing, live at our Denmark Street store.
    Until the next one...

Sweet mercy, if Joey didn't even play guitar, I'd still be completely amazed by him based only on his voice and singing.

I have to see him live! Also to check if his goldtop is as flammed as it looks in some videos 😅

I prefer the other performance of this song. The frills and fancy stuff were there, but emotion came first. That one just made it seem like he didn't even know how good of a guitarist he was. The song came first.
