I never hear Fender Stratocaster demos with that Eric Johnson sound. I plug my Strat into a Sovtek MIG 100 and without any pedals I have that sound.

Players a better value for the money. I have both . Overall difference is the profirmer has yosemite pickups and grease bucket tone circuit and combo frets. What I noticed and figured out is that the performer neck and body is made in mexico shipped to fender plant in the US and assembled. I took my performer neck off and it said players on the stamp. That's why fender can't say say made in USA , they put US on the serial number not made in USA. Most parts are imported and assembled is the American plant . It really doesn't make a difference the mexican guitars are coming out of Mexico plant are just as good. It is just the spec difference not build quality.. If you like jumbo frets and tone circuit and the yosemite pickups than that's the model for you.. To me there is not much tone difference to justify the price difference. But I do like junbo frets, that's why I g ot one .. but compared to my player2. It's not worth the 500 dollar difference. Fenders marketing scam, they advertise it as the least expensive american tele.. If your are upgrade pickup kinda guy ,buy you a player model and save your money, but experiment with pickup height first before you buy a a custom set of pickups .. especially if you play dirty with all kinds of pedals . That makes a difference than a clean player. Fender is very good at marketing hype. Every time somthing new comes out it's t h e best ever ,until it is in the hands of players for a while then the real truth comes out ... My 50 year advice is find a tele that feel good in your hand ,it's all about the neck feel , if it feels good in your hands that's the one for you , electronics and hardware is cheap upgrades for a keeper ,a lot cheaper than buying several telecasters until you find the one. That would be my first step. The neck ... I know guys that have 5 or more teles And after they finally figured out what they like best in the tele ,they realize they could have purchased a custom shop to there specs and it would be cheaper.

The player series sounds muffled, could be the amp or mic used and it could be his playing style.

Fender stuff doesn't produce finer sound than what we hear in this video. Schmender.

Consider doing videos pairing not amps but guitars. You have a strat, but friend wants to play his strat in the garage jam. What guitars would contribute more to the jam than two strats.

I would have liked to hear them switch up the guitars. I prefer the style of playing from the guy playing the American Performer, but would like to see how his style sounds on the Pro.

Have the Pro Standard for a long time, but mine has the Shawbucker in it. Love my guitar. My other guitar is a PRS 24-08 and I can use it with any other types of rock and metal, but country and blues are for my strat. Just the best.

what I thought i heard was the neck pickup sounded better on the Performer but the Professional was getting better sound after that.

First off I need to say you guys are mind blowing amazing musicians, I would buy a broomstick with 1 guitar string on it from you guys lol.... I bought a new Professional 1 series in 2019 and just bought a new Performer on 10/28/23 and I love the Performers tones and playability more then the pro series....

Great vid! Just got the pedal and it is rather worthless: the controls are very fiddly, the tone knob doesn’t do much, the tone gets more brilliant if you turn up the gain which can’t be dialed out, and worst of all, the second channel is useless, because it is much too loud and there is no extra gain. I usually like Fulltone pedals but this is not one of them. 👎

Real clean setting= master drive at 12 and the volume at 2 or 3 - great for country style in combination with the RC booster, the Nobles ODR-1 and the Dynacomp MXR compressor. It's a killer! Great video! It's my best Amp ever.

How noisy is this pedal when switched on? I've yet to find a fuzz pedal without an obnoxious noise floor.
