Copperplate Calligraphy from A-Z

- Learn how to construct every alphabet from A to Z in Copperplate script. This almost-real-time video will shows how you write each letter with a little introduction to flourishing on the Majuscules (upper case letters).
I'm using DIY ink made of Gouache - there are 2 colours here (Orange & 'Barbie' pink). You can have a little fun with Calligraphy by mixing the ink and see how they blend beautifully on the scripts.

Thank you! 🤗 I got my oblique pen from an Etsy shop - Weedbrook. They’re from Australia :) And it was properly wrapped and shipped over. I got it few years ago now. Hope they have nice designs for you 🤗

What nib is being used for this video??? It is amazing how easily it flows from one letter to the next! Could you please let me know what the nib is so that I can run out and go get one :0). Thank you!
Sorry for the late response! Sorry. The nib is “Perry & Co. 7071 EF”. It’s a flexible nib. The word EF means Extra Fine. This brand may not be common everywhere but there are many brands that make “extra fine” nibs. The most common non is Nikko G, and it’s a good nib - sturdy and gives the extra fine quality! As for the ‘ink’ - I made it myself. It’s gouache + water. One of the benefits of using gouache is that it works on almost any type of papers, and the ink won’t bleed. Try it! Have fun!! ❤️❤️

Brilliant. I have few questions
1. I see you mix Engeosser's style by breaking some strokes, may I know the logic or reasoning for that ?
2. What nib, holder and paper ?
3. Do you have a quick tutorial on mixing ink as it seems that it's consistency is brilliant and just so accurate that there is no hint of blobs or bleeds at all.

As for the nib, it’s one of my favourites! It’s the ‘Perry & Co. 7071 Extra Fine’. So sorry - I used to go around collecting nibs. On this one, I totally don’t remember where I got it from 🙏🏼 As for holder, I bought it from a nice seller on Etsy - www.etsy.com/uk/shop/Weedbrook
