How To Fit HEKO Wind Deflectors

- In this video I show you how to install/fit Heko wind deflectors onto your VW caddy or caddy maxi. They subtly enhance the look of the car and make driving with windows ajar a more pleasant experience by deflecting wind and rain.
Pretty simply video but a few people have asked me about these so I thought I'd do a how to video to help people out. Hope it helps!

I fitted mine yesterday and the instructions don’t say which way round to put those metal clips, but I remembered this video so put them “spike” facing out, but they kept falling out. I then watched the official Heko videos and they advise they go the other way so it grips into the rubber.

Oh weird, are you sure you pushed it up enough? On the instructions I was given and when looking online it started to put the spike against the plastic as it'll rip the rubber. Maybe just push them harder in to stop them popping off? Thanks though, glad you're liking the videos!
@@willsvanadventures yeah pushed them as far as I could, not very deep on the Audi so had to watch the Heko vid 😂

The clips go in with the tooth facing in, not facing out against the plastic.

Does the deflector sit into the window channel near the wing mirror? Broke two fronts ones during installation, tempted to buy another two
Umm yh it goes down near the wing mirror yeah. Did you snap the actual wind deflector?

Spikey side of the clip obviously does not go against the plastic smooth bit... It goes onwards to grip the rubber surround 😂

Clips installed wrong way round. Spikes definitely facing away from deflectior on Heko installation videos
Been solid for 25 years and no problems....

Just installed these 5 mins ago. But noticed when the window goes up noticed it was catching and the window was automatically going back down. Anyone else had that bother ?
Hey, I had the same issue, just pull the wind deflectors out a bit when the window is going up. Once the window is in place it bends the plastic to shape over time.
Them clips don't work on my Peugeot 208 gti
