- in this video I show you how to install the team heko wind deflectors on my bmw e46 now the same applies for all cars and fitting is exactly the same and no different regardless of what model and year its very easy and these help stop rain water passing inside when you have your window open in the rain and helps the wind on highways and motorways in the uk so you can open your window knowing you wont get blasted by wind

I have a BMW 5 series G30 2019 plate car….the silver clips which are provided with the Edge wind deflectors are quite big and do not snuggly fit in my car once I have installed the deflectors????
Even though I pushed them in with the screw driver as well, with the point bit on the side of the car
What could be the cause and how do I fix it? I think those clips are standard size
For anyone wondering about the metal clips, they go inside the channel along the top of the window near the edges or really wherever you think it’ll be a weak spot. The sharp triangle side faces the car and the flat part goes against the rain guard. The window closes and will just push the clips in more and the rain guard into place.
Every video I see says the clip goes the way you described but the instructions I have just got with my help wind deflectors says the opposite. It is showing the spike against the deflector meaning the spick faces out of the car. I'm so confused.
Just fitted deflector on my 2 series F45 active tourer and the clips don’t go in fully and with the slightest of touch, they fall out.
The instructions shows the spike facing out towards the deflector

Would have been nice if when you put the first clip in, we could see the clip position going in. Your head blocked the shot. :P
This video was very rushed.
Two important things you didn't show was the fact that you should clean where you will stick the deflectors properly otherwise it will not stick.. and where to fit the clips i just saw your head.
The clips are the main reason most would want to watch this video but you didn't show them

i can to see how to put in the clips and that's the only part that was not comprehensive :)) do they go all the way in? is it normal for a bit of it to stick outside ?

Good video except for fitting the clips; your head was in the way. I know you’ve tried to explain this in comments, but a picture (even a still) would be useful.
Thanks for the video, I just wanted to ask pls, when fitting the two clips at either end of each deflector, are you pushing the clip into the windows side tracks (and that these clips should not be inserted into the top groove of the window), regs

I had this installed on different car when I used to smoke. Lovely, especially on rainy days when you can open a gap and stay dry. What is the name of the song at the end of every video?

I have watched 5 different videos installing these HEKO brand wind deflectors. The direction of that the clips should face seems to be a point of confusion. The directions that come with the deflectors do not show or describe which way the metal clip faces with the barb/tooth. Finally in a video from "TeamHEKO", I slowed the video down and the side with the tooth faces the interior of the car. The smooth side faces the plastic deflector. The best location to place each clip is still up for discussion. This video appears to put the clips into the ends, not into the top of the door frame like the TeamHEKO video and instructions seem to indicate. Once the clips are installed, I'm not sure that it would be very easy to remove them to reposition them.

Alright I have watched 3 different videos and they don't really show the correct way to install the clips which way is the cut in the clips facing?

Is the help logo and text a sticker you can remove? Love the look of these wind deflectors, but hate the white logo and text. If it is not a sticker, can it be removed with some chemicals without ruining the plastic?

Tried them on my x3. Not recommended. Fit was perfect etc, but they’re so tinted that they completely block the view up front next to the side mirror and a-pillar. Will send ’em back and maybe look for better ones or just forget about it.

I just installed them on my x5 f15 and i hear wind also
6:37 and a part from the wind deflector just broke 😂 this happened to me and I was so scared for a second because I thought my window broke. Very cheap quality and they don't fit properly
I put my rear ones on the other way round on purpose cause I think it looks better!

Yes Kevin mate they do indeed I do these on every bmw I have ever owned and it tidys them up aswell as gives you a lot of advantages
I was going to buy these. But I think I'll save my money. Don't like the way they catch and pop each time the glass comes into contact.

RKD you force them up with a flat head screwdriver put the window up and leave it to sit for a few days

Nicely done but a little tweak in the video will be much better than as it is.
A few tips if you are interested, Low the Volume down of the musics and as many other complaining (if that is why bother watching all the way and leaving rubbish in the comments), next time when you do, take the shot from inside, and when you decide to first forward the clips in the video, just don't say anything.
I cannot complain as I merely got any subscriber comparing you but as I do not have anybody to help shooting for me or to monitor when I am a bit away from the camera, as well as been disabled it is very hard to keep up creating contents & making videos.

Sound horrible when the windows are closing, sorry but these look tacky and a crap install, and i bet you didnt pick up those bits of tape.
