Had mine on for almost 4 years now and they have lasted well. One thing that they cause though is scratches on the glass where it inserts into the frame of the door. As it pinches the deflector. Other than that. Great.
Just bought some of these for my Fiat so thanks for the heads up, will definitely be putting some adhesive felt or rubber inside mine to prevent damage.
Installed mine today on my skoda, the fit was SUPER snug, I had to push it in on the right on side, then bend the wind deflector to get the left hand side in, then worked my way from left to right to get the middle pushed in.. It still came with the clips so I used them, but the fit left zero wiggle - I installed these 8 years ago and they weren't as snug, I think they've updated the designs on some of these!

Great video. I never knew how to install them stupid clips so I threw them away and let the tape kind of secure it. May just order another set now as mine are out of shape a bit.

I don't know if I should install these. I want them because I don't like the rain dripping off the roof all over my window switches, but part of the reason I open the windows is to give a breeze to the dogs in the boot. Would they stop the breeze reaching the boot?
The supplied instruction leaflet shows the clip with the spike out towards the car not in. The spike should bite into the reflector not the door rubber seal.
I just watched a video from Heko before watching this one and they had the spike facing into the car to bite into the rubber seal, makes sense as that would make sure the clip cant fall out, if the spike was facing the guard, the guard and clips could all fall out together from the wind at speed if the adhesive didnt bite due to dirt etc
The clips don't do anything on my golf 3 door. I can't secure them and they won't go all way in and when I close window it hits them and makes god awful noise. So took them off. The actual defector doesn't fit that well either down by the mirror area.

I just fitted mine. Do you know if the brand name on the back deflectors by default are suppose to be toward the front side or the back side? So the brand name on both the front and back are next to each other, the front deflector with the name at back side, the back deflector with name at front side..? With mine, I had to fit the back ones with the brand name at the back side, like the front ones. The deflectors are a bit thinner towards one side, hinting that side is to be at the back. The thinner side also has the brand name on them. I keep seeing others where the brand name is at the front side on the back deflectors and it's making me think I have fitted the back ones on the wrong sides. I tried first with it the other way but it was so tight it wouldn't slide in at one end, the flat bit seemed too long for one side so I fitted them the other way so the brand name and thinner side is towards the back. Put 'em on my car today, could do with more clips provided. Tip... Don't just send your Windows straight up, bring them up slow n steady in case they catch on the deflector.!
I am stuck trying to do mine, the clips aren't pushing in
Thanks men for helping me skoda to put it on you are legend 👏👏👏
Front windows look too dark to be legal. Looks good though.
I have those for over a year. Good stuff. For that price. Removed the ones on the rear side windows because of the windowtint
BadRastaNL they are great, I've had them before but these have been on the car for 2 years. Just ordered new clips from ebay as the hekos came off for the tint.
Just got my order with them here in Sweden. Found it interesting they left a warning they shod be installed in 20 degrees celsius because their made of acryl plastic. Im guessing there going inside during winter seasons etc.. Really just wanted a flashier look on the summers. Check my GTI Clubsport on ma channel if your into hot hatchbacks! 👍
So the clips come with the wind Deflectors?
Yes
In my case I added the clips before because I was told so by the unclear instruction and added more double sided tape as it was already present but for some reason, not that much
+Redline Revs Thank you sir, it helped me a lot in my choice! How have you liked yours since installation?
Is those defectlors a bad choose to buy
Søren hey thanks for commenting. I think they are really good and worth getting.
Redline Revs Thanks for answer. I had now ordrerd some heko 😊
Søren cool! Hope you enjoy!
can you do an "install a proper driveway" next? :)
You sound like my wife!
Probably looks like her too🤣
Having real trouble fitting these on my seat leon fr. There is no channel at all for the clips to go into. Deflector is so loose. There's barely half a cm of gap clips aren't fastened at all
Thanks. Clear simple video.
Hi, how easy are the clips to get out again? I can see instructional videos for installation but non for removing them. I've just tried my heko deflectors for size on my mazda 3 and the window doesn't want to close. The channel seems too tight for both the glass and the plastic. I don't want to risk pushing the clips in incase the window doesn't close and I can't get the clips out.
Pain to get them out gotta take a pick like tool to get them out and pull on them with the pick tool.. mine kept falling out from the clips so I'd have to pull the clip out and reinstall it till the visors broke from me keep having to reinstall the clips now I got messed up window trims with imprint of the clips .. not worth it if you buy these just add better 3m tape and leave the clips out.
What did you make finally? did you install with or without clips?
@@Nick-vl3mn I didn't end up installing them. I didn't want to risk having trouble with the windows not closing properly and not being able to get the clips out again. I sold the car about 12 months ago, but I still have the deflectors boxed up if you want them 😂
@@boltonmattd9759 :D Good, but i have Civic not Mazda and i live in Greece i supoose you are in USA... I asked you because for my Honda im undecided.I have a bad experience from the past with deflectors with Clips (4 Pcs). And now im between Heko with two Clips and Climair without Clips,i dont know which is better. For both there good and bad evaluations.
I've fitted these, but my front windows whistle and let some road noise in 🙄
Good instructions ,better than the Heko information -----Thanks
How to remove the clips if you want to remove them 😮
gives a nice look to the car
I but also Heko Windows deflectors in my KIA but they don't want toate stau fixed. Everytime when I left window down the Wind deflectors get off. What should I do?
Hey thanks for commenting. Try getting new heko clips from eBay and install the wind deflectors again. Good luck!
Thanks, but i go with the 3M tape
hi ya, how's it now? still stable ? any scratches? or any issues? thanks
What are the clips called or how are they listed on ebay? Great Vid!!
Good video, some nice little pointers i.e. where to fix the clips and which way round to have them. Just fitted mine this afternoon, looks very nice.
Glad you found it useful, I'm sure it looks great! thanks for taking the time to comment.
