I really don’t get the criticism towards SEAT, it’s a VW but cheaper and sometimes even better looking!
I've got a mk3.5 and in my opinion its much better looking than an equivalent aged golf.

Those stationwagons just looks so nice.
The only issue with seat is that they use quite cheap materials inside. Otherwise its an awesome brand and has nice looking cars for cheap. Cupra in the other hand looks better inside and is more stable in driving than vw golf r and the material is good, better than before

I have a seat leon fr f5 1.4 tsi .. and i must say i disagree .. the interieur is supreme to any other car in its catagory i have ever seen from 2014 .. no clue where u got “cheap” from

A few good mods on that 1.9tdi and it'll fly, such a great engine.
Im planning to get seat leon as my 1st car. My father isnt happy he say buy golf 6 1.6 tdi and enjoy its much better quality and golf6 2010 will be better than seat leon 2012...tbh I dont wanna be a part of ppl in my country who likes only vw golf.
But I dont know what should I get 2.0tdi 140hp or 1.6tdi 105hp ? What is better motor and quality? Some ppl say 1.6 77kw is weak but tbh 1.9tdi74kw in golf4 is just enough for the roads here in my country.

buy a petrol engine,dont buy diesels
The leon is fine, if you want diesel go for the 2.0L
Drove the 1.6 in my driving teachers VW Polo. Pulled okay in this car but I would not want it in the bigger Golf or Leon. Get the 2.0 if you really want a Diesel. Not race like quick but pulls constantly and with force. Good cruiser engine, plenty torque to get to fast to quick if this will be your first car 😅

Great engine but wrong wheel drive (besides the station wagon which is AWD). You can't really use 350-400hp on a FWD, launches are crap, understeers like shit even with a LSD... I prefer a 200 hp RWD car. And I'm not being a hater, used to have a Stage 2+ 1p Cupra (350hp on the dyno), and now I drive a 218hp f20 1 series and I love it 10 times more.

I have a white 13 plate bonetanegra stage one and I need to get it to stage 3
My old mk1 was 300 now got a mk2 cupra running 320 but the mk1 will always be king

These things would be awesome in the States!!!
Seat Leon is a great alternative for a Golf GTI. But the states aren't that hot on hatches and wagons so Seat would not have business there. They sell them in Mexico, maybe import one from there. The latest Cupra models have 290/300 bhp and a front diff to put it down, the wagon has AWD instead. I'd say they cost about the same as a GTI and look nicer. Interior has a lot of hard plastic though but still nice where it counts.

@@dominiknikl1495 yes but no - i own one and the FWD grip limits its greatness to okay or good weather. Also if you care about launching on a light or something its no bueno. It really just compares to the R on a canyon run or a highway on these conditions.
