Good idea. I've cooked a whole chicken in our ninja airfryer 1.5kw and it took 40 to 50 minutes. It cost about 80p in electricity. A conventional oven at 3 kw with fan would take 2 hours and more than double the cost. Well done Aldi for selling airfryers cheaper so everyone can use them.
Since I hate having to watch the eggs while on the stove top, I now use the air fryer method to boil eggs simply because I have to multi task and tend to forget I'm boiling eggs 😆

It's much easier to just plonk the eggs in the air fryer, than to go to the cupboard and get the pan go to the sink and put the water in then to the hob to put your pan of water down and put the eggs in and then when cooked fish out the eggs and throw away the water and clean the inside of the pan and outside and then put away for another day. If you use the paper trays in the air fryer you don't have any cleaning up to do afterwards, putting the eggs in cold water on both ways is up to the eater.
Great example of how to cook the eggs, SO VERYPLEASED you mentioned the silicone holder at the end, as I couldn’t find how to cook a straightforward egg anywhere, they are all egg with stuff in, so brilliant, thanks for that!👍
seems like the ninja is a slower cooker compared to a cosori which performed the same test, without preheating at 150 it took 7 minutes for a soft boiled egg

Be nice to know if you can cook bacon on the same side with the eggs. After all, the shell won't poison the bacon, but will the bacon damage the eggshell?
@@toni4729mine is new, but it is not a patch on the smaller one I had before. I have every intention of cooking bacon in it until it goes up in smoke. However, I shall probably replace it soon. It has cold spots, it overcooks the outsides of the food and it guilt-trips me every time I put bacon in it. Sheesh.😡
Can you use white eggs? I’ve always seen brown eggs used. I noticed the yoke is not quite cooked through on all these air fryers. Maybe try a little longer (12) minutes or so.

The only difference is that bigger eggs will take longer, and room temperature eggs might take a few seconds less than those from the fridge. I expect this content provider likes his eggs "soft-boiled", you will find times for harder cooked eggs on google. Also, many people in the UK find the look of brown eggs more appetising, and are convinced they taste nicer. White eggs have therefore gone out of fashion here and are harder to find. As a poultry keeper, I'd say the difference is only shell-deep.😊
I had mine in at 200 for 8 mins and they were over cooked and difficult to get the shell off. I had soaked them in cold water too. I lowered the time to 6 mins and they looked nice but again it's difficult to get the shells off.
I tried 10mins at 200 in my Ninja today, the york was hard but not overdone, however the bottom of the egg white was yellow, i think thats because the tray overcooked it, any ideas how i can get around that?
Not by the time you've boiled the water... Also this is meant to show how you "could" if you wanted use your air fryer to cook boiled eggs, so could do a breakfast in the dual zone with sausages and bacon one side, eggs on the other. So all don't using one machine. 😊👍

Yes, not easy to peel the shell off. If peeling I do in a pan tbh. But if making for dipping toast soldiers or scooping out for egg mayo then a use the air fryer

Done in an air fryer going back to pan get the best eggs after 3 mins and then leave them for later for a still soft hard boiled egg. My gas bill is cheaper it’s the electric that’s through the roof. Air fryer good for small items, where there is house churn and no one is sitting down to eat togther. Using an air fryer is as dull as ironing. Oven and kitchen table the heart of my home. Egg video good but I’m not sold and never was on the hype about an air fryer it’s just another gadget.
The air fryer is not best for everything and no one ever said it was. The air fryer uses less electricity than the stove, especially the oven. The air fryer is much quicker than the stove for a lot of foods. No one suggested that everyone should stop using the stove but it cannot be denied that millions of people find air fryers helpful and many love their air fryers. It is fun learning new ways to use the air fryer. And your house is much cooler in Summer. For those that prefer the stove go for it. You will be in good company with those that prefer landlines, still think the computers a fad, and would not dream of using a food processor when they've got two good hands to cut with.
I cook my eggs the 'traditional way' too but need to boil for SIX MINUTES to avoid uncooked egg white which is a guaranteed turn-off. I have an electric oven/hob and ensure the heat is at it's highest setting and the boiling water is fiercely bubbling before adding the eggs. Having recently treated myself to a Ninja air fryer I will definitely give this a try!

Cut out the chicken back bone with good scissors and it will cook a lot faster

I pop mine in air fryer, 245°, 18 min. Ice water/eggs 3 min, roll to crack, peel. Took me one minute to type this.
nr 2 is the ideal for me... would look lovely on a toast with just some creamy avocado, salt and some sprays with a lime over it

My airfryer manual says NEVER to fry greasy things like bacon in it. (Whisper- but I do!)

Yes definitely not as easy to get the shell off as boiling. I find using a teaspoon to scoop the egg out easier.

Yes possibly! If you have any silicon muffing Trays to sit the egg in, it might help? Worth a try.
