    Good idea. I've cooked a whole chicken in our ninja airfryer 1.5kw and it took 40 to 50 minutes. It cost about 80p in electricity.
    A conventional oven at 3 kw with fan would take 2 hours and more than double the cost.
    Well done Aldi for selling airfryers cheaper so everyone can use them.

    1:40 description of experiment and 6:00 results
    Air Fry at 200, allow ten minutes to preheat, plunge in cold water after taking out
    Egg 4, 10 minutes 6:06
    Egg 3, 9 minutes 6:38
    Egg 2, 8 minutes 6:58
    Egg 1, 7 minutes 7:25

    • @grahamjohnson4702

      It's much easier to just plonk the eggs in the air fryer, than to go to the cupboard and get the pan go to the sink and put the water in then to the hob to put your pan of water down and put the eggs in and then when cooked fish out the eggs and throw away the water and clean the inside of the pan and outside and then put away for another day. If you use the paper trays in the air fryer you don't have any cleaning up to do afterwards, putting the eggs in cold water on both ways is up to the eater.

    • @jayawilder3835
      @jayawilder3835 2 месяца назад

      @MichaelOrtello-ek7wi Eggs are all the same under the shell. The only difference is that bigger eggs will take longer, and room temperature eggs might take a few seconds less than those from the fridge. I expect this content provider likes his eggs "soft-boiled", you will find times for harder cooked eggs on google. Also, many people in the UK find the look of brown eggs more appetising, and are convinced they taste nicer. White eggs have therefore gone out of fashion here and are harder to find. As a poultry keeper, I'd say the difference is only shell-deep.😊

      Done in an air fryer going back to pan get the best eggs after 3 mins and then leave them for later for a still soft hard boiled egg. My gas bill is cheaper it’s the electric that’s through the roof. Air fryer good for small items, where there is house churn and no one is sitting down to eat togther. Using an air fryer is as dull as ironing. Oven and kitchen table the heart of my home. Egg video good but I’m not sold and never was on the hype about an air fryer it’s just another gadget.

    • @minimalistknitter
      @minimalistknitter 11 месяцев назад +8

      The air fryer is not best for everything and no one ever said it was. The air fryer uses less electricity than the stove, especially the oven. The air fryer is much quicker than the stove for a lot of foods. No one suggested that everyone should stop using the stove but it cannot be denied that millions of people find air fryers helpful and many love their air fryers. It is fun learning new ways to use the air fryer. And your house is much cooler in Summer. For those that prefer the stove go for it. You will be in good company with those that prefer landlines, still think the computers a fad, and would not dream of using a food processor when they've got two good hands to cut with.

    Why? I could make them (equivalent to your 1 egg) in the traditional pan of water for 4 minutes and gas ring is 7p a unit as apposed to electric at 27p ish? I get the point about mixing with other stuff and you are just trying to demonstrate but????
