If you want to try real traditional food, what we call "husmanskost" which is the poor mans food really, it should be "raggmunk och fläsk med lingonsylt" for sure. Translated this is swedish pancakes with potatoes in it, with thick slices of bacon and lingonberry jam. Its really a staple of homemade cousine in sweden. Its almost up there with potatoes, onionsauce and thick pieces of ..... bacon! ;)
No, translated it is not "Swedish pancakes with potatoes in it" - as it is not pancakes at all. It's a potato pancake. The order you say it matters as the first suggests you make a regular Swedish pancake, then put potatoes in it, which is WILDLY incorrect. The other suggests you make a "pancake" from potatoes. Potato pancake is more or less a flat hashbrown fried in a pan, if you want to try to translate it.
@@Luggruff raggmunk is named "potato pancake" in English though! And raggmunk has always been a foundation of swedish pancake with added in shredded potato. Did you think that raggmunk wasn't a foundation of swedish pancake?
