All in all, the conversation is important, womens safety is a valid concern but this example is incredibly stupid & if men were out here claiming women are lesser than literal animals they would be having a field day (justifiably so). Bears can smell right? They can smell you’re a human which means either danger for the bear or food if they’re desperate enough. Not really that hard to comprehend. The bear isn’t thinking of ways to sexually torture you as their object of fascination, they’re just operating off of normal animal instincts. Y’all are really trying so hard to not use your brain

Being slowly disemboweled and watch your guts get ripped apart and eaten before your very eyes would easily be the worst way to die period. We all would have a better chance of having a better outcome with the man. I’m sorry it’s just not a good comparison. Some animals do not get aggressive until they mark you 😊 even if it was sleeping the first time
You could put them and feed them all you want but if they are not in the best situation things could escalate real quick.
And wild animals especially a bear is heavy. Those things run fast and even if they are small their aggressive nature when cross does put a fear in you eventually😅

I legit just commented how vague this is on Tree of Logic’s video and how we need context. What if we change the setting to a public space? What if we state that you WILL be attacked rather than leaving it to mystery? Then would we see people still choosing bear? What if it’s a home invasion?
This is important because men and women are divided on this DUE TO the lack of context. If no one is going to get specific, then no one can get mad when others don’t agree.

Actually, a black woman made a great point on TikTok. If a woman was walking down the street she would walk right past a man like it was nothing. If that same woman was walking down the street and saw a bear coming at her even if it wasn't being aggressive, there is no amount of convincing that would stop her from crossing that street and running away.

If you pick man: have a chance of fighting him off, maybe not a high chance, but you have a 0% chance of fighting off a bear. You could possibly outrun the man, can't outrun a bear, they go about 35mph. You could hide from a man, bears can smell you from miles away. You could climb a tree and escape, bears can climb trees extremely well. And this is if the man wants to attack you which if you wanna be extreme, you could say 30% of men for an extreme number, but 70% is still higher than 0% with the bear unless it's not hungry. Also, you live next to men, not bears. Start living in the wild where you're walking past bears everyday and you're chances of attack will be pretty high. Women in NYC walk past 10s of 1000s of men every day and maybe 20 will say something. This whole argument is made by people who probably have never seen a bear and don't even know how tall they are, let alone how fucking ruthless bears are. A grizzly will put it's 800 pounds on your body while it eats you alive. I agree with Aba saying it's okay to say you don't feel safe around random strangers, most people understand that some people are fucking crazy no matter what gender/sex. Imagine saying you'd rather be alone in a meeting room with a Bengal Tiger, than a women because I'd rather die than be accused falsely

This question is trending everywhere yet each and every woman that says they would choose the bear, regardless of their history, wouldn’t do so if they found themselves in those exact circumstances. Because the bear is basically suicide, while you have a much higher chance of survival and rescue with the man. That’s just common sense. Would you rather be lost with something hunting you guaranteed, or would you want to take a 50/50 chance that isn’t really 50/50 because men are generalized on this topic?

True story. My dad, early 30s, is camping with friends. One of them had a trailer, he is truly an oddball. While night 1 was going along fine, couples and singles all sitting around the campfire, my dad's odd friend slipped away as the sky turned grey and put on his bear costume only he knew of.
Everyone is chilling by the fire BUT THEN, from out of the woods a giant hairy mass only illuminated by the fire emerges before them all and releases a roar.
Everyone ran, except my dad according to my dad who told me this story. (He said he was just confused opposed to scared... sounds like he is painting himself as the cool one but he was the only one not to get up out of his seat.) Most everyone Bee lines it into the woods in the opposite direction from this "creature of the night." Two of the woman ate dirt, face planted out of hysteria as the men ran away.
The woman who especially ate dirt and was screaming on the floor ready to die was pretty pissed seeing her boyfriend completely leave her without even looking back, this was her fiancé. The guy left his wife to be for the non existent bear.
That couple broke up, no marriage was gonna happen after that. Which to some extent I think is fair.
However if you reverse the gender roles, people would have no pity for a man who tripped and than bitched how his wife to be didn’t come swoop him up, save him, he who is the damsel in distress. I mean yeah, I'd say he's being a bitch.
But if you left your girl like that, did what would be find to do if you are the woman, even though it is an unfair double standard, (men are more expendable in the eyes of our evil Patriarchy) I would say he sucks... didn’t show good fight or flight control.
My dad's friend very likely broke up that marriage. When he would first invite my dad and who is now my mom, he brought them to a gay bar and considering my dad didn’t know my mom that well yet (was still trying to win her over) he was pissed. My mom didn’t care but it is reasonable to say that was a similar attempt at sabotage. This friend lives with a woman but still never married to this day. Almost happened as he proposed because his other friend (an even more wild oddball, one who will grab your nuts if he likes you) suggested it. Well she eventually backed out of it don't know why. Feel bad for him though as he was pretty much rejected by his mother all his life, only saw the grandma, and the nail in the coffin was this girl he was madly in love with who had his complete trust (he wasn't damaged enough to lose all faith, had faith in her) who turned out to be cheating on him serially with multiple guys. That was it. He was done.
Lol. She would even call him like a decade plus later after that bad break up speaking with some interest to get back together but also about how she currently had cancer. I forget what it was he said exactly but I believed it was the C word and "I'm glad. Bye." Ice cold.
I could never do that. Part of me wishes I could but nah, I don't wanna be that level of resentful.
I mean it isn't like Cancer magically makes what she did any different though. But still, idk it would depend on how bad it is on whether or not I could go "good" plus how bad I was treated. He was treated really really bad.

As an Alaskan who has encountered a bear in the wild I can share my experience. The bear didn't really care how much noise I made. I was being very loud, yelling, banging clam shovels together, waving lit flares. The bear barely cared at all. It was in that moment I realized I am at the bear's mercy. I tried to act calm but I'm telling you I damn near needed to change my underwear.
I have also encountered men in the woods. Never been scared of hunters and hikers. While the scales are in the man's favor you can still win that encounter. You are not winning against a bear, period. If they want to eat you they will and you will be alive when they start.

I was shocked because he was nothing but nice to me. It might’ve been because as a guard, who doesn’t like drama, try not to be rude to people and let them know what’s going on and for the most part people are understanding and go on about their business. If you get mauled by a bear. You might never see that bear again, knowingly, but you might be left with constant hospital visits and trauma just the same. You might end up horribly disfigured, leaving you to be criticized and stared at the rest of your life. Not to mention handicapped. And to be honest, I feel far more confident that my daughter could get away from a man in the woods than she could a fucking bear. An animal that evolved to live in the woods. Especially of the man is there with no tools or weapons. A good stab with a good stick can be enough to get away. The woods are full of makeshift weapons to scoop up while someone has their hands full trying to force their way on you.
I could go on and on about why it's more plausible to pick the man. But hey, I'm not an idiot defined by trauma, be it mine or anyone else's.

Edit: Dear Lord, the sheer amount of women in the comments confidently saying the man is only there to abduct/assault the child is absolutely insane. People, please understand that there are far more reasons for men to be in the forest than just looking for a random kid to abduct/assault, such as hiking, hunting, camping, or if a body of water is nearby, fishing. The latter are much more likely to be the ones who run into the kid than some rando pedo by virtue of statistical probability. Again, as crazy as this may sound to some of you, the overwhelming majority of us are *not* predators, we're just normal people living normal lives. Please chill. Also, if there was a pandemic of pedos out there like some of you suggest, they probably won't be looking for kids in a place where there's barely any of them. Just saying, the people who are more likely to do harm to these children are much more likely to be in their elementary schools than in the woods.

This is painfully untrue as men are more inclined to be instinctively protective, not destructive. The bear will act on instinct alone, and you are more likely to die by the bear in every scenario. Even if things go south with a man, your chances of survival are increased. Pretty sure unless we women are strapped with weapons, we are losing to the bear 99% of the time. Choosing the bear over the man tells me several things about a person. They may or may not all apply as follows:
    1. that person is what I would call terminally online and are not yet self-aware about how this is affecting them.
    2. that person has unresolved emotional trauma in their life either with a man, or with men in general.
    3. that person wants to be seen as agreeable and "part of the crowd" among their online/social media friends
I bet if we took some of these women claiming they would rather face the bear, dropped them in the woods with just the clothes on their back and a phone with a random man's number on it who they do not know, they would almost immediately dial the phone and call for help. They know that when push comes to shove they would proactively reach out to a man for help, but they want to have that cake and tell us to eat shit all the same.

Funny thing is that if you made a reality TV show where women had to survive a month in a forest with either a man or a bear, the choice would flip faster than a lightning strike. This whole question is just more of the men-hating and fearmongering propaganda against men perpetuated by a certain part of feminists. I just find it ridiculous how the group that's supposed to be the oppressed one is getting away with the exact same rhethoric that Hitler used against Jews. So much for everyone being equal under the law I guess...

"You dont get it. Atleast the bear won't f*ck me. All men just want to f*ck women. How do you not understand this, bigot. You're the problem and good job exposing yourself, predator."
      ~some Twitter user probably
It seems that's all this dogshit question boils down to. Even if you break down the question logically like the one husband did, you get clowned on cuz "how dare you not pick the bear?".It's blatant prejudice and I love how when you try to switch out "men" for anything else that shows how problematic this question is, they are suddenly quiet or try to frame you as being weird for thinking like that.
These ppl are just f*cked in the head.

The majority of men are good, honesty, hardworking and care about women. Unfortunately, many women who have had one bad experience with a man, uses this experience to judge all her future interaction with men. This is the problem.

@blitzspitz 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ I don't think we watched the same video. They literally embraced certain death over strange men or dangerous men in their families. Nobody is deluded about how dangerous bears are. However, the question went viral because a man was stopping women on the street and asked them this question, everyone jumped on it from there. I have issues with people in general, I may be wary of men but I've experienced women in a girls boarding school and I've been burned (my bunkmate dealt with me). I'm trying to start opening up to people but anytime I smile at men especially, I end up with some creep with big entitlement. I still believe there are genuine people out there.

I’m a woman who likes to hike alone in the woods. I usually run across a man, and the worst thing that happened was feeling slightly uneasy for like 10 seconds. If I saw a BEAR on a hike, I would be literally terrified.

A man, and I love hike and camp. As a Man myself. I would feel uneasy too if I find myslef amongst other man in a isolated area, (I'm a petite young man) I could get robbed etc. But yes, if I saw a bear, I would hope it was a man instead, at least I could give it a fight if it was a man trying to rob me.

This video is not it. This feels like y'all got mad and decided to take the angle that so many men are taking at this question. The whole "Well women are bad too!" and "Men are not that scary! You're being dramatic!" Which is just abhorrent. I'd really like for you to reflect on yourself and understand that you guys aren't thinking about this logically. The question is not just who would you rather be around, a random guy or a random bear. It's also whether you would risk the possibilities of being around a random unknown man in the woods or the easily subdued bear. Bears are easy to handle, that's why there are literal phrases that tell you what you need to do. Men are dangerous, unpredictable, and van and will be 100x worse than a bear. It doesn't matter if the man isn't going to do anything, but most women are not going to take that chance. 1 in 4 women are sexually assaulted. I am one of them. Women don't just have a general fear of men for "no reason", we have a shared trauma. Get better, and learn from this.

@@ilikethembigandchunky I can understand how it can be hurtful to generalize a group of people when you yourself are a part of that group and don't engage in the behavior that is being discussed or feared. But it isn't solely about "shared trauma". It's a legitimate survival tactic because women genuinely do not know whether a man is going to be "one of the good ones". "Not all men" is a correct and logical statement, however it ignores the large issue at hand, which is that there is such a large amount of men that women don't feel safe around due to genuine concerns and misunderstandings like this. I'm not attacking you, nor any men who wouldn't do horrible things, I'm saying that there are so many unsafe men out there to the point that women just aren't willing to take that chance. This isn't a "there's only a small percentage of men who do bad things" situation, that's why I brought up the 1 in 4 statistic. Because that is how common it is for men to engage in behavior that is abhorrent. It's not the same 50 men who decided to do this to every woman they can find, it's a large amount of men with unresolved deeper issues who are quick to anger. The fact that you feel the need to defend yourself shows me that you aren't actually that confident that you are "one of the good ones". I can tell that you have good intentions with this so I'm not saying that you are a bad person, I'm just saying that you're ignorant. Saying that 51% of the population's collective trauma "isn't my problem" is honestly quite... stupid, for a lack of a better term.

6:08 bro, are you serious? People already do. Animals, and also inanimate objects. Literally all the time. The one time men get compared to an animal it's disrespectful but a woman can be compared to a horse, a cow, a child in a lot of creepy cases, and don't forget the lock and key metaphor.
