I actually like the early design of Yoshi shown here looking more like a t rex. It definitely limits the confusion of whether he was another theropod or dromaeosaurid carnivore in the movie since he's supposed to be a baby t rex, mirroring Koopa's previous state of evolution of which he was a t rex. And the animatronic work is just absolutely groundbreaking *chef's kiss*
s'true this is missing many scenes of the film, I looked for this documentary for years on the internet, and finalmete I found him I had recorded on VHS when it was exhibited in discvery kids ...
OMG THANK YOU FOR THIS!!!! I had this on VHS as a kid, but I never saw anything after the part around the 4:50 mark because my stupid dad taped a hockey game over it!!
All dinosaurs in 1924's famous lost movie,Rumps'N'Grumps. Teroncheirum Rex, the only theropod to have 5 fingers on each hand and 5 toes on each foot. Horriveyceratops horridus played by an iguana with 3 horns and 2 frills. Raptorias Bambi, a raptor like herbivore with a frill on both the bottom of its arms and the back of its legs. Baterdon Rex, a pterodactyl with bat like wings. Gigantosaurus Bambi played by a long necked lizard with horns and a frill and a brontosaurus puppet Toshasaurus rex, a four toed, four fingered relative to the Teroncheirum, played by a monitor lizard withe two wires holding it up, and a allosaurus puppet
5:30 -- This is now dated , hollywood wants only to remain faithfull to the dinosaurs in the 90's in this new decade.... one day we will see feathered dinosaurs in movies, but maybe not in this or the next decade.
shame ray couldn’t see the man in the suit art like godzilla actually paid off with the works like stan winston and jim henston and many many other movies! like ghostbusters to alien and that he never saw the original unaltered godzilla movie which was vastly different in tone to the american movie cause it came out unaltered in 2004 not sure if ray saw the 1942 super man short of artic giant which you could say the beast and godzilla where copys but it’s pure coincidence really
The Beast From 20 000 Fathoms and 1956's GODZILLA KING OF THE MONSTERS are my favorite Dinosaur Films
This is the first time I've seen this documentary in a long, long time. Ahh, such fond memories from my youth are coming back to me.
