I was impressed. People think long distance driving easy. Delivery from A to B. Woman, blonde, pushover. I don’t mean that in a derogatory way. What they don’t realise is as you as the driver you have to sort out the problems. Thanks for showing this because everyone thinks the job can be super easy but as you have shown if you have 2 like minded people you can sort out your problems. Yes, it's really good and how she lists all the roads like we're also going along for the ride.
Funny enough even as a farmer that would have a number of trucks in through the year doing the same like Jemma, I've still learned a lot from her 👍

I had a lorry in picking up barley the other day and we were discussing the job, he's got it easy as it's generally local stuff and goes home at night.
I've concluded I don't honestly know how they get folks to do your job, getting up at 2.30 am to go and live in a lorry for a week.
I guess you folks are definitely a bit special.

I haulier a know fitted a 150 water litre tank on the inside of his new Fruehauf bulker, he piped air into the water tank, fitted a Karcher hose reel on the outside of the chassis and uses it to wash the inside of the trailer out or wash lights, windows, mirrors etc, great job and no massive expense

The first load was a bit of a faff all round wasn’t it; you are always so thorough and professional but I think you might have a few choice words off camera occasionally 😂. Glad you are getting your house sorted slowly but surely ❤.

Welcome to my part of the world Jem, luckily you didn't have to go up the A12 to Colchester, because there was more roadworks and another contraflow. Looks like you were at the pit off of Essex Regiment Way in Chelmsford beings you were near the A131.
That guy up north sounded like a sergeant major 😂😂😂
As silly as it sounds VOSA now want you to put in manual entries for other work done b4 you put in your card.They would class you unloading your car into the truck as other work and require you to put in 10 mins of other work.So rest until now would be "no" then you add the 10 mins.Then they expect you to do the same when you finish.They fined a driver for RMS £300 for not doing his manual entry and told him it could of been £300 for every time he didn't do a manual entry.Crazy but that's VOSA for you.
It's great the guys at the first location were flexible and you could work out a solution for the extra load. You are right that it's not your fault that there were 8 tonnes more load on the trailer. Mistakes can happen, fortunately everything went well at the end. Hopefully you could recover a bit of time next day and the slight delay didn't ruin your whole week. High quality vlog as always Jemma. It's fantastic we can see what is going in the transport industry thanks to your great videos.

Hi Jemma, I don't live anywhere near your part of the world but I enjoy watching your videos, a really fascinating insight into life on the road driving a lorry and I like to see the places you drive through that I've either been to myself years ago or fancy visiting in the future. I know you travel all over the country but I was amazed to see that you not only came to Essex in this video, but my home city of Chelmsford !! From what I could tell it looks like you were on the other side from where I live, but Iknow the route you took out to your next stop very well as it is the way I always take from home to head north for trips out. Next time pop round for a cup of tea - you'll probably block three of my neighbours drives with your lorry but they are all quite friendly !!! Neil
The Stockyard is a fantastic truckstop! Was always great food in there! I’ve not been for a long time as we don’t run trucks anymore.

What a piece of nonsense from these folk - all this could have been avoided if the left hand had a clue what the right hand was doing! Makes you wonder how they manage to get themselves dressed and go to work! 😂
Yes, you'd think if they need 20 tonnes then getting some extra when the load was there was the only option.
Not sure of the cost per tonne so I guess paying for a bit more and money lying out.
Things get messed up because it goes through so many people that don't know first hand what's needed.
Someone probably got told 20 tonnes was more for haulage especially if you're just asking for a part load, so ordered a full amount ??
Had the chap in the yard been able to order I'm sure it would have been spot on.
I am always surprised that with all the methods of communication available these days, phone, mobile, text, e-mail, fax(?), even post but that would not have helped Jemma this time, some companies seem reluctant to use any of them,
