I was surprised that you do not wear disposable gloves when filling up with diesel? If you can it stops your hands stinking of diesel. Just a suggestion.
Your time management skills are excellent, and well done to the farmers for being ready to load you on arrival, an hour late by any of them would have thrown your schedule out, so, a superb demonstration of how life should be in the farm/trucking industry.

I did a 2 yr house restoration after getting married. After the rain got in, my wife went to her mums😂. Was a beautiful place in the end. Wouldnt do it again
Back in the eighties, my brother ran his own haulage business, this meant getting up at 4 in the morning ,driving to the yard and like you , checking the lorry , occasionally i would go out with him , i can well remember going to tilbury docks where the utterly lazy b......d dockers would bugger off for a tea break and leave him waiting for an hour or more before they would load him with newsprint for fleet street , i hope they all lost their jobs .

If I may offer a suggestion, you may want to consider a filter respirator similar to what car body repair uses, when you sweep out your trailer - a lot of that nano scale dust can end up in the lungs. 👍 ... and I bet you have a nice pair of lungs.

I've always fancied truck driving as a profession, but at the moment, I just play Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. Also I do van deliveries at weekends in your neck of the woods, so quite au fais with the local roads you travel in the South West. Safe trucking!
Another great video. As a Hontion resident it's nice to see all the local roads as I regularly use the terrible A380/38/30/303. Dreading the idiots coming down in their caravans this summer.
Great vlog. I had become very jaded in my job in delivering fuel to forecourts having been in general haulage at the start then fuels for over 20 years now. Your videos remind me of why I love driving artics for a living. Also a member of the porridge club! Thanks for the excellent videos.
Loving your videos lovely. Nice to be able to watch somebody with a proper accent too. By the way, bulldog clips from a stationery shop work great for packets like your rice. I use them on everything in my freezer!
You certainly see some beautiful scenery out there. I enjoyed driving round Northumberland for the Council in my day for the same reason, getting paid for driving in glorious countryside, great. You have some narrow lanes down there!

I tell the company i want two sheet on the trailer but they only bring me one sheet so i tell them i want two sheet and they say if you want to sheet you go to the toilet and i say no you dont understand i want two sheet on the trailer and they say you better not sheet on the trailer you son of a beech

Its funny how you mention Bob Rowe as being quick on the levers...back in the early 90s he had a k reg farm special JCB....so my ol'man reckons he'd be parked outside the barn...start a stop watch...and 13 minutes later 24ton (38 gross back then) was on the truck and he'd be parked back in the same spot where he started...ready for the trailer to be sheeted!! If only all farms where like that!!!
Love your uploads they are so interesting years ago I took my HGV test passed it and then developed Epilepsy so That ended my driving career I was so devastated at the time but I went back to uni and became a teacher still I really wanted to drive a truck..........

You have skills Jemma excellent driving,after watching trucker jay a few years ago,it reminded me of the 23yrs i was a HGV driver away from home and my 4 girls all week,driving all sorts of different vehicles,like the ERF with a crash gear box high low ratio with splitter was an absolute bstd to get into reverse 16 gears was exhausting,these automatic trucks do seem to be a bit easier to drive.Happy trucking,its good to get payed to get lost sometimes.
Jemma's sister also likes that word it's strange how some words just stand out to you. So when we mention podimore, we think of jodi 😂 she also likes haberdashery 😂 take care

It's getting bloody hard to find diesel in Australia for under $2 per litre now. Think I will stick to driving curtainsiders and palletized freight.

There is a shortage of tea. It comes from the far East and they have to ship it south of Africa. Unless they fly it over.

FARM EQUIPMENT sure has changed when l wotked summers on a farm. The fact that we had rwo Ferguson tractors was considered good.
