- This is a video of my day trucking from start to finish. I tip at a building yard before going to find a farm to collect grain and take it to the dock for export which prove a little tricky yet beautiful and then on to the next farm hoping to get loaded......
Another great vlog, your driving skill is amazing. The villages you drove through were lovely.
Thank you. Yes I get to see some fantastic places on this job ☺️
Have you heard of trailers in which the floor moves to the back , used to transport bagged goods, sticky materials , for floor moves forward and to the rear , pretty slick .
I’m sitting on my front porch with a cup of tea , watching my mini horse Smokey graze the front lawn , and my old border collie Tio , grazing grass like a sheep , I swear he was a sheep in his previous life ,for he hates sheep and could not be trained to herd sheep . He was born in Japan , but now lives in B C Canada ❤ Peter
Thanks for the great video Jemma. I also deliver to that first address you went to at the beginning, it’s in High Wycombe. I deliver all the Postmix that you reversed past to tip your load. You actually see 1 of our trucks waiting at the end of the lane as you leave.Proper tight place to get in and out of. Keep up the great videos 👍
I think I was lucky to get in there when I did. It’s not the best place for lots of trucks ☺️ thank you ☺️
Like the way you talk through your thought process on manoeuvres and reversing 👍
Thank you ☺️ hopefully my thought process is normal 🤣
Yes and also same as me when I get directions and I usually have no time left and need to tip and break stress!! 😂😂 and it’s then the most difficult bay to get on 😂
Yes normally it’s Sod’s Law 🤣
Awesome driving Jemma
Great watch. That was some machine loading the boat up at Immingham docks
It’s so great to watch. I wouldn’t mind having a go either 😁😁
Another great video Jem and makes two of us that would not call that a ramp! But love how you checked to see if he had an extra load.... great customer service. The fog reminds me of our levels when it just drifts.... your job never looks easy but you always get it done!
Thank you! Yes I think it’s only right to contact the farmer. They have a lot to do like we do ☺️
That's a ramp to a farmer.
Great video. Market Rasen, my mum was born just outside Rasen. Lovely town.👍😁
It did seem like a very pretty place even in the dark ☺️
Awesome video as always Jemma. Proper foggy day, definitely doesn’t help while your looking for an entrance like that. Love the farmers ramp, he wants to go carful on that, one wrong move and he might end up upside down🤪🤣. Keep on trucking Jemma 👍🤛😃
Yes it was an interesting one😁 such a nice guy too. Glad the fog cleared later in the day ☺️
Fantastic video, informative & educational… 😊
Thank you ☺️
Fair play to you, looks a nightmare driving down those small roads
I’m so used to it I don’t really take much notice
Safe travels trucking Jemma
Fair play, good stuff, enjoyed that, stay safe
Thanks, you too!
I know what you are saying about Immingham, it's shocking, especially when it's busy. I loaded out of Spalding for Immingham on Thursday morning, and to my surprise you were on the bridge weighing out as I was queueing to go in. Keep up the good work 😃
Oh that was some day waiting to get loaded there 🤣 I took mine to Manchester from there. Might even be on next weeks video 😎
I will keep my eyes peeled for it 😃. I'm off to Manchester tomorrow Whitworths, then Buxton to Rugby with limestone. After that who knows 😂😂
Great video, pretty busy day. I think the people in the office could do with a kick up the arse and get things better organised, but you did well.
G Day from NZ.
Yes unfortunately this can happen when we do work for other companies. My company is normally very precise about that sort of thing ☺️
Hi jemma I thought I pinged you yesterday .I am the dodgy phone number and high class ramp .Great vid and well put together your best yet. Keep safe.A Rye smile😂
Hello 👋🏼 hopefully I’ll be back to collect or deliver to you in the future ☺️
Great video as always Jemma have a wonderful weekend 😊
Hi Jemma, best wishes from Galway Ireland it is an absolute joy seeing your comments you put so much hard work into your driving it is not a joy driving each day a lot of hard work but you have tonnes of experience on your shoulders,a joy to see a brilliant driver at work 10 out of 10 ❤️❤️🙏👍👍 cheers Declan 👍🙏
immingham dock must be the worse docks in the uk . i get lost in there to , great video jemma
Haha glad I’m to the only one. Thanks ☺️
@@jemmawarren27 your so welcome
Another great video Jem, real trucker's go onto farms 🤣 tight lanes, tight gateways, mucky yards and track's 🤦🏻♂️ but you sure do it in your stride, your channel here has pretty grown quickly, keep up the great work 👌👌
Keep up the good work
I've been driving truck in the U.S. for 46 years and I am still amazed at how awful communication is. We have cell phones, texting, emails and more and it's still sometimes impossible to get information .
Yes, with all the methods of communicating it should be better.
I'm not sure what type of loads you shift but in the farming world Jemma does the absolute best practice in trying to phone the farmer first before turning up, virtually all trucks coming to my farm would do that also.
It must be a total nightmare to be trying to drive somewhere, only to discover you've been given the wrong phone number.
We tend to deal with the same companies so that helps and one company I sell grain to you get an email the day before warning you of the load or loads going out.
Getting loads in sometimes you get a good warning but if the load has been shifted from the original transport company then confusion happens about who has or hasn't contacted the farmer.
I suspect it's much harder going to factories or some warehouse that nobody has a clue that you're even coming or couldn't care less either.
Another enjoyable, interesting video. The size of the cranes and ships at the dock really brings the relative size of things into perspective.
What is the weight of the load of grain in your trailer? 20T? Long drive from south coast docks up to North Lincs.
Thank you. Yes they are huge. I carry around 28t of grain which brings the total weight of the truck to 44t ☺️
Jemma you are amazing at what you do for work
Your videos are really good to watch and follow you. Keep it up ❤
love that job, your acting is as bad as mine..
Eggs..- funny
😁😁
Another fascinating video Jemma, truly a "Traditional Farm," stay safe & thank you.
Cracking videos Jemma, you are very talented and professional. Great to see the different loads and places you have to deal with daily. Stay safe
Thank you, glad you are enjoying them ☺️
You are a right crawler, she is doing a job that 100's of guys do on a daily basis.
Most places in Lincolnshire have funny names 🤣 and I can say this as a farmer, farmers do yer head in, if we get a wagon at midnight we will load it or unload it. Not been unknown for them to come in house for some tea n a wash 😂
That’s rare, I’ve never been offered a shower and unless it’s harvest very few will load before 7 or after 5
Watching you brings a smile to my face. I would love to see a lady truck driver from the USA do the job that you have to do in a days time. Getting out to open gates all the tight spaces and having to set up to blow off the product of your trailer and God forbid sweep it out. I drove a truck for 15 years and 4 years of that a gasoline tanker. You couldn't get one at that time to do that job just because of pulling and hooking up hoses.
I take my hat off to you. I also Admire your dedication and how thorough that you complete your task. Thankyou for the quality Content.
This was so much fun to watch! Nice camera work! Is that a GoPro 360 you're using? I have one too but you're much better at using editing than I am. Safe travels!👋
It’s an insta 360. I have both but prefer the insta
👍🚛👍
Your a real trucker Jemma because you must have your tea 8:26
Jemma I think you are amazing what you do, but I can’t understand how your fella does without you all week, I would miss you so much. X
NICE DRIVER I FROM IRELAND IT CIARAN
You have serious skills, blown away! I just do occasional agency class 2 work and get anxious with many reversing situations. Amazing to watch, love the channel
Thank you. The biggest demon when reversing is your own nerves. I’ve become a lot calmer over time and that has made it a lot easier ☺️
Another good video Jemma enjoyed watching. Can sympathise with you on your delivery and pick ups farms are not the best of places for an artic. Makes that farm we used to to do in North Devon look a doddle. Although i nearly got stuck in there once coming out with a full tanker. You certainly get around, Lincs used to be one of my working areas a few years ago and you found out Market Rasen does exist think they have a horse racing track there as well.
Yes someone else mentioned the horses. Seems to be a big thing there. Thank you ☺️
Awesome video from a Beautiful lady
Hope you had a great time in Sweden
Thank you ☺️
It was cool that you were in my neighborhood Lincolnshire really tight roads round mkt Rasen do you use a sat nav to find places or just maps great video 👍
I use a mixture of maps and google maps. Yes it’s a lovely place, sometimes it’s a shame I only drive through ☺️
@@jemmawarren27 hope you do some more video on your blower trailer soon great job👍
Very good vlog jem it's lovely jubly girl I enjoy watching all your vlogs
I had a customer get mad at me for not calling him ahead once. I tried calling 7 times and he wouldn't answer. He said he won't answer the phone if he doesn't recognize the number because "he doesn't know who the hell is calling him". Then he admitted he doesn't get reception in certain spots of his house. Then he yelled at me for not leaving a voice-mail.
Yes I’ve had this once before too. I left voicemails, missed calls and txed messages but apparently I didn’t try hard enough🤦🏼♀️ I think you get the odd one like that sometimes
Think I’m in love. ❤
Been looking out for you around m5 burnham and Devon. Lol not seen you yet.
We deliver stone to that builders merchants its sod ov a yard
It’s definitely not the best place I’ve been 🤣
Another great video Jemma must be great getting out and about and seeing different places x
Yes it’s great especially when the weather is nice. We have a Beautiful country ☺️
WHY JEMMA, DOESN'T YOUR DISPATCH ensure all details are confirmed before you are nearing your destination?
Brilliant video Jemma, I really admire your professionalism in doing your job. I love the commentary that you do on the video. It's such a shame that facilities are so poor at services, especially since the the fact there a lot of women now on road. The whole services needs a good shaking, how difficult is it to get it right.
Years ago when I was driving it was mostly transport café some where good some were bad, but they never had the washing facilities, that they should be providing today.
Thank you. Yes indeed you are right. It wouldn’t be acceptable in any other profession and yess so many ladies now tramping but is should be better for all drivers ☺️☺️
SEEING YOU BLITHELY TURN YOUR MICROWAVE OVEN ON, makes me wonder what VOLTAGE your truck uses and HOW MANT BETTERIES do you have?
IF A FARMER DOESN'T HAVE A WEIGH SCALE, whose weight measurement do you accept?
Gorgeous autumn weather in the middle of February. 😂 I can imagine that sometimes it's a challenge to find the entry to the farm, especially if you are not familiar with the place. And of course wrong phone number doesn't help either. But you could fill up the trailer and that's the most important thing. The setup in the dock is indeed a bit too complicated and can confuse the drivers. The view is fantastic, I find these huge cargo ships fascinating and the loading is an interesting process. We can say every day is different in your profession and that's a good thing. Excellent vlog again Jemma, thanks a lot for the entertainment. 😀
Thank you. Yes it was lovely sat there with the view especially after the fog in the morning. The phone number situation was definitely getting on my nerves that day but we got through it so that’s the main thing ☺️
@@jemmawarren27 Do you know where goes the grain from the port? I'm sure the wharf is extremely busy in harvest time and action is nonstop there and then. Hopefully you'll visit this location in the future too and we can see it again.
What a fun time you had on this one Jemma!! Foggy weather and foggy instructions. At least you had the sense to get it sorted out and make the most of your busy day, great video again thanks. Take care of yourself.
I loaded you at the farm in Market Rasen!
Hi 👋🏼 I’m always surprised how far the videos spread 😆
I am surprised you do not use a GARMIN... Absolutely essential ... travelling road maps display showing expected and exact position related to lanes and turn offs (BUT it will NOT identify Ramps on farms) also verbal instructions commentary. Road Maps are obsolete.
Market Rasen is a lovely little town Jemma, not so good for driving around in a large wagon though lol.
It looked lovely but just sounded funny. I imagined a market selling raisins in my head when I heard it🤣🤣
@@jemmawarren27 🤣🤣
Great video never boiled water in a microwave. Every day is a school day.
For me it’s better than having extra clutter ☺️
@@jemmawarren27 how long does it take to boil in your microwave.
Nightmare first time i was in immingham weighbridge one place tip in another then bak to weighbridge
Yes it’s a nightmare in there 🤦🏼♀️
Callertons Scania ,u won't keep up with that flyer 🤠🤠
Just subscribed.. looking forwards to keeping up with your adventures on the road .. be safe xx
I only eat American grain. Our grain is fortified with synthetics, genetically modified...if it isn't fake I don't want it
Ollyblogs sent me here, brilliant video, just subcribed, looks like i've got a few more vids to catch up on.
Thanks and welcome
A bit of a contrast to here in Australia where you can still find 2 stroke GMs, split rims and a lot of shifting
ruclips.net/video/Pts5iiExFRA/видео.html
What a talented driver & patient lady. Very impressive.
Can't really add much to that - other than looking forward to more videos from the channel I just subscribed to.
Thank you. Glad you like them ☺️
A very good Sunday morning to you all from Wellington Somerset
Ain't Lincolnshire lovely for it's weight limits?
They are all over the place
Better than trying to get to farms around London but yes it did have a few annoying ones and I’m sure a few are unnecessary 🙄😁
You make it look like your driving a mini around those there them lanes🤣
Professional👍
Great video.
SHALOM 🔥
Thank you ☺️
Jemma, what camera do you use? Is it a 360 camera? great to see such skill in those tight driveways :)
immingham in lincilnshire used to be called back of behond as it used to be akward to get to i go to killingholm to the ferry for zebbrugge belguim save time going via dover -calais as north sea ferries stopped running from hull to zeebbrugge
Hi, great driving as usual! It’s like you were born with a lorry’s steering wheel in your hands! On the subject....you choose to sit very close to the wheel itself!? Is that a physical requirement, or simply like so many women drivers do, as in sitting so close to the wheel? Is it possibly a pedal reach issue otherwise? Cheers
I think partly shortness and how I feel comfortable. Yes I feel like it’s so ingrained in me now that I don’t know what else I could do 😁
I’m very surprised at the amount of reversing you do without a banksman/ spotter, at times when there are customers moving around in your space,
Nice one Jemma. In a ideal world everything would run smooth. That Scania the yellow beast , Callerton haulage there yard not far from me. Have a safe trip
It would be nice but probably boring 😁
Hi, they are trying to save on water, you know some people like spend a long time in the shower or some people don't turn it off. The eggs are good for you help you relax and chill. Not too many though.
Really enjoy your blog you tell us how your doing on a daily job thank you
Oh Jemma a quick question what horsepower is the Scania cheers Declan 👍
Don’t want to be too personal but what is the loo situation when you’re overnight at a farmyard / lay-by etc?
just found your youtube chanel thanks to olly blogs. i worked on a farm in the 80s 90s and loaded a fair amount of lorrys in that time most would go to a local mill but the rest would end up on a boat at Southhampton docks never really thought about what happened to our grain as soon as it was out the barn so have found this interesting thanks for showing us. next time your in the shower with a button like that put a matchstick in it to hold it in.
Ah yes we tip at Southampton occasionally. Each dock does it differently but I do like seeing the big cranes in action ☺️
great to see a beautiful woman driving instead of the typical stereotyped males
How do you switch the camera angles like that while driving in and out of the tip area
No it’s a 360 camera so you edit it after downloading
Fair play your videos are really good only ones I don’t skip through and not just 40 minutes of a camera on a driver talking waffle ! Keep it up 👍🏻
Thank you. I try to make video that I would like to watch myself ☺️
Lovely cup of tea nothing wrong with boiling the water in the microwave nice driving Jemma that dock set up looks painful least the tip was nice and quick and didn’t have to put grain sock on and tip it off slowly
A tailboard tip is lovely sometimes ☺️
Nantwich my home town, excellent video again, and your truck is amazing.
Thank you ☺️
Also any chance of a week of tramping like where u stop for the night and like a full day from waking up vehicle check t driving Plus breaks and what u eat also what u bring with u for a week of tramping.
I would love to but with the hours I do in this job it will be too much to do. I only just have time to edit one days worth of content right now
You come dream every night.shamim🌹💢🐣
Cracking vid as always! still love the use of the 360!
Thank you! Yes it’s a great camera ☺️☺️
Really enjoy your videos keep up the good work Jemma x
Ya'v never heard of "Market Rasen " ? Ya need to get north of Watford Gap more often, my dear.
2 -from immingham take A1163 to A46 to market raisin
Jemma you release air from your right hand side under the seat, after you leave the farm yard. What is that?
Brilliant vlog very interesting looks like you realy like your job.Nice to be on farms in the countryside 👌👍
Yes I love it and I love the farm work ☺️
Very talented driver , you never seem to get flustered or mess up a reverse , or do you just edit all the cock ups lol ?
Enjoyed the video. Thanks. .👍
you smashed it again jemma, great video. lovely view sat next to the ship right on the docks.
Yes veiws like that are the best part of the job ☺️
I was watching using my apple EarPods, blew my head off when you started the voice over, super loud, made me jump! 😂
Fans from Thailand.👍👍👍👍👍
Hi jemma best wishes from eamonn carlow lreland
It's great to see vlogs of the same haulage I do like... 😁. Iv done distillers, and wheat today. Immingham docks are mental as you weigh in miles away from where you actually tip 😐
I honestly didn’t think anyone who did the job would want to watch videos of me but thanks and yes a totally backwards place 🤦🏼♀️🤣
@@jemmawarren27 I love watching it lol, might start vlogging myself. But dont know how to edit or wat u use
It’s very time consuming but worth it ☺️
Hi Jemma found your channel last week and been binge watching your vids and enjoying your content very much, also I recoqnised those docks as they look like the ones Scott Andrews use to go to, also do you ever get to the Cotswold area in your line of work, and I haven't driven a lorry in years but I only did night work picking up tyres from Stoke-on-Trent and taking them back to the Mini Plant in Oxford, it was an okay job but the best jobs I ever had was as a firefighter for Oxfordshire and farm worker on a local dairy farm, anyway looking forward to your other vids you post.
Thank you, glad you are enjoying them. I’m sure Scott has been there. We go all over and never know where I’m going from one day to the next but we do go there sometimes ☺️
@@jemmawarren27 No problem your content is interesting to watch as I've only ever loaded grain lorries or seen the cake deliveries at the farms I've worked at, but I've not given it another thought once they leave the farm. so it's nice to see the other side.
Hi jemma good video xx
Thank you!!
Didn't know truck drivers ever took a shower?
You can get a Jet Boil. It takes seconds to boil water and also cook other food with them.
I prefer not to have more clutter in the cab which is why I don’t have a kettle but thanks for the comment ☺️☺️
Are ABP Immingham, at the security gate where you turned right at the roundabout over the bridge, if you go straight on I load German wheat out of there all the time.
Yes there is a place in there too. I have been in there in the past asking for directions 🤣🤣
@@jemmawarren27 it is not intuitive at all, I used to hate going to Liverpool docks, but I could go around there with my eyes closed now! 😂
Quite like you videos, Gemma. Take care x. Austin
Thank you very much ☺️
Thanks for the upload interesting stuff 👌
Thank you ☺️
Hi Jemma another great video, I have a microwave in my truck how long do you set it for to boil water and is the plastic yoke ok to use....oh and what wattage is your microwave. Thanks Nev
It takes 5 mins to boil water, it’s a 600w. Yes fine with a plastic jug alternatively you can use a normal cup
@@jemmawarren27 Brilliant jemma Brilliant videos BTW....I'm really impressed with your reversing... a lot better than mine.
