Longtime subscriber to both Matt's and Rory's channels and now a new subscriber to yours. Although I won't be there in person, I'm looking forward to seeing the games. It's great that you're teamed up with Rory. His buggy is a beast and he's a master off-roader. You couldn't have picked a better ride or spotter. 👍🏼

Just a safety tip Laura , always face the cab when you are climbing down ( or any ladder for that matter ) . If you slip facing away you will have no chance to catch yourself which can result in a nasty fall or face plant , be safe .

When you use a "gallon" oil jug, turn the handle to the right, left or below the funnel so the jug gets air and doesn't spill oil or coolant etc 🙂

Some advice for March from an old guy:
Trust Rory; he's not going to let you do anything stupid and/or dangerous. None of those guys, and I've been following the bunch of them (Matt, Paul, Rory, and so on) for years now, will let you get into something you can't get yourself out of. If you can't, they can.
Do not worry about breaking anything. That's what those guys do; they break stuff, and they fix stuff. You can't break anything they can't fix.
Have the time of your life; you know, pretty much the way you do with everything.

That waving thing is cool.. I used to have a Corvette and waved at other Corvettes. Some would wave back and some wouldn't. My Corvette was a 2002 Z06. Seemed some of the newer people with newer Vett'es didn't get the message about waving. Never thought to wave at trucks, but then I live in Ga near Atlanta. I used to live in Tulsa Ok. Born in Wichita Kansas. Rode the tractor with my grandad many times as a young boy (farm just south of Kansas).

Yes for your safety please exit the cab facing the cab. It does hurt when you fall out , getting out the wrong way😂.
Also one trucker/ truckie to another always check your tyres by fitting the tread, not the side wall. You can damage the sidewall easily.

Great to see you guys are hauling corn again, I will probably get started back up in a couple of weeks. I found a wireless RV Camera with a magnetic base to be super handy when filling from the bin. Stick it on the side of the bin, and watch the progress from your phone. Also a big zip strap on your remote controller for your trap doors will help keep it on your wrist rather than falling in the pit! Don’t ask how I know this. Lol.

Them series 60 Detroit engines are great. Drove a million miles with one in my Pete. They will burn the oil down to the add line right away ….. but will sit there at the add line in between service……. Just a Detroit thing. They also love a bottle of howes or kleen flow in the fuel tank at service. Keeps the injectors clean.

Hi Laura, I have been watching your channel “subscribed” virtually from the start and I always look forward to watching each video its nice to see a lovely young woman tackling the difficult tasks that you face on the farm everyday. One thing that struck me in this video again, has no one ever shown you how to pour oil and other viscous liquids? My Dad taught me a couple of tips to make it easy without spilling. The way you appeared to pour in the video causes air to be trapped above the oil in the bottle causing “glug glug” erratic pouring. For a controlled pour open the bottle keep the bottom of it low but roll it on its side the result is a controlled pour with you in control. You can even roll the bottle gradually as it transfers. The second tip Dad taught me was how to pour into a smaller opening. Place a stick, or small rod across the opening of the bottle put the tip of the stick or rod into the place you want to pour when you tilt the bottle do it slowly the fluid will leave the bottle and run down the stick or rod into where you need it too go. Try these I think you will be amazed as I was but “shhhh don’t tell Grant” let him keep spilling and wiping up…😂
Keep making the great videos I love watching your work! Best Wishes I hope the tips help.

Well, dang it, it may be a bit chauvinistic of me I guess, but a petite young woman driving a big truck and doing a good job of it brings a smile to my face. Very enjoyable, well done. Your petiteness however doesn't help you when trying to open the truck's hood from the front. Maybe a weight belt with about 50 pounds of weight attached would help you get the hood past the tipping point. 🤓

Red dog is what we call corn chaff out my way. Next time if the trailer brakes lock up just take your hammer and tap the brake drum, a couple of times, the vibration should loosen the pads enough to move it. One thing and I think is one of the more in portent things is, did you or did you not check your fifth wheel? Disconnect from trailer grease the release handle, make sure that the locking jaw or locking bar is not loose or worn. Make sure that the Bracket pin, it's the pin that holds the 5th wheel on and lets it pivot up and down. If you ever have one of these fail, just hope it happens on your property.

A 'tire buddy' is useful to check for flat tires when you have dual wheels. One could be flat and you wouldn't see it. No need to hit the front tires.
But, it shouldn't be used as an indicator for good pressure. Always check with a gauge. 6:20

I have my million miles driving a truck, and I spent about 5 years as a driver trainer. You're getting rather smooth shifting gears by now. That's not abnormal, but it always seems like a major victory when you stop fighting the tranny. One caveat, though: don't use the Johnny Bar/Trailer brakes/whatever you call it/ to stop the rig temporarily. Use the buttons on the dash. It seems counter-intuitive, but the trailer brakes can release when you don't intend them to. Doesn't happen often, but when (not if) it does, you'll either have a major repair bill or scare the daylights out of yourself. Other than that, you'd have passed my inspection, and the trailer brakes thing would merit a caution but not a down check.
    Keep up the good content.
