- We got everything ready and loaded up and headed to Sale Lake for the annual Offroad Expo. We got to display Trailmater, Ol Blue, the buggy, and the Model AA Wrecker. We had a blast meeting everyone and hanging out. Thank you to everyone who came out and bought some merch. We really appreciate all of you. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.

I started watching Matt's channel. That lead me to Rory. Now I never miss a Trailmater video and watch Matt if I have time.
Agree. Maybe Matt's team has changed (and gotten too big?). It feels like they are trying to "entertain" us instead of letting us watch what they do. Same with Robby's channel. If I wanted to watch "entertainers" there are "reality" shows on TLC or Discovery Channel. I'm glad it's working out well for them but I would rather watch Trail Mater, Dirtbilly Deluxe, Fab Rats, and mix in a little Merlins Old School Garage. #beyourself #beauthentic

Matt's an insurance fraud, and didn't even know what real recoveries were until Rory showed him. Trail Mater is the real deal. I won't watch one second of Matt's channel.
Don't get ahead of yourself. Neither you nor I were there and it is quite common to go after people's money when they get rich. Look at all the famous actors that were being sued years after the fact. That never happened until they were rich. As for recovery skills, Matt has some too. Very different from Rory because he does different recoveries. Did he learn something from Rory? Maybe. Most of us have.@@utahwanderlust700
It all started with Matt ( love Matt) now I have Paul,Robby,Rory, Merlin, and more . Better than anything on TV . Watching this now because the live Games will not play ?

Who doesn't respect and like what Rory has built up over the time he first started Trail Mater... He is highly respected by his peers and friends.... His video's are always interesting and informative.... they (the entire crew) never "plays to the camera" ... all their work is real and fun to watch.... Im heading to the expo.... See you there.... Sandy Utah is only a couple of hours away.... It's much harder for Rory to get there with all his equipment then it is for me.... I just have to drive down and enjoy.....

@@Kalimerakis Mater is the name of a tow truck in the movie "Cars." It's short for Tow-Mater (tomater, like a Southerner might call a tomato.) Rory's truck is used for offroad towing, so it is Trail-Mater.

I used to live in SLC .UT I had four good friends we used to take our Vacation two weeks and go four wheeling and rock climbing in Moab .We all had jeeps .that was 30 years ago.Im 80 now .Love to watch all of your channels . Last year, I was there from North Dakota, Salt Lake had a pile of snow. Trailmater had more people around his stuff than the $100,000 UTVs

Saw everything at the off road expo. Got to talk to Mike for a bit. Rory was busy with his daughter and Sean was busy with customers. All them vehicles look sweet. Trail mater looks like it could be in a madmax movie. Wanted to meet Robby but left before he arrived. ... sad day. But that is ok will stop by his shop one day. Wanted a 2x sweat shirt but all sold out. Just means road trip to moab.
When the ship hits the sand, I want to be on It Rory’s team. He can weld anything from a broken heart to the crack of dawn. There’s a rumor in Moab he welded a beer can under water. Uh huh.
Was interesting to see "Trail-Mater" and the Model A side by side and really see the shared "geneology" and bones of a strong, competent recovery workhorse.
Robby is going to be very lucky.

The empty tank theory is wrong. An empty tank is more apt to explode than a full tank since empty tank has more fumes which ignite than a full tank.

They aren't worried about a small explosion. What they are worried about is a large sustained fire, in a confined space, with many other vehicles with large amounts of fuel, with the potential of large numbers of people!
Pretty much all indoor events with vehicles have those requirements.
It is just common sense!
Which is more dangerous, a smaller explosion which throws burning gasoline everywhere or a larger explosion that doesn’t?

Neither are good! But as I pointed out, a large sustained fire, in a building with numerous other vehicles full of fuel!

Gasoline doesn’t expload, gasoline fumes are what causes explosions, gasoline catches on fire. You need a certain mixture of gasoline vapour and oxygen, same reason why grain silos can exploded. The “ combustion “ engine works for that very reason, vapour + pressure + oxygen + spark= motion.

Also true that gravity creates the need for a lot of the recoveries, so it also causes a lot of the work.

Wish I could have been there, but it's over 1400 miles and looks like about a 22hr drive. Still. Would have so great to be there.

I hope you give us more than a few seconds with Dan. It would be so cool to hear his side of the story about the name and all that. We already learned about how you got the truck, how you built the truck, who started filming you first but the guy who gave the name deserves a little spotlight too. I hope Mike and Diane were not hurt during the accident.
The train runs daily…. Really twice if you count both ways. It runs from Chicago to Emeryville Ca. Beautiful ride from Cali to Colorado….. the canyons it goes through are amazing
Good to see Mike and Diane (insert Bryan Adams tune to the words here) made it safe and sound after surviving the car wreck.
Great way to spend time with friends, also good to know Robby is on board with the way the AA build is going, not that he has a lot of choice, lol.

I've been watching a lot of videos from Robbie, Matt and you, and the big thing that amazes me is how well you all work together even though, technically you are competitors. I know, you're all in different parts of the state and that takes the competition down a notch, but you're pulling off something that is rare in the business world. Keep up the great work.

Rory I had 2 Girls after having 3 boys and those two were as much fun as Lilly. You are a good man to make sure she has fun with you on the off road. My times were back in the late 90s with our 2 4X4 . Newest 1987 and the 47 Willys. There was not one trip where they were not totally thrilled by all we did. They made it a blast. Girls don't fear as much as boys
