Differentials were always the one item I hated doing in My years in the trade of a Mechanic. Rebuilding Engines & doing Brakes was My top 2 favourites.

Great show. My favorite was Hillbilly and Robby's good questions and Colt's equal understandable and polite answers.
I totally concur with the acceptability of his concise explanations for the placements and standards for each part, along with his presentation of the page containing the precise numbers for spacing and torqueing of each. ;)

Ya'll need a work bench for the chop saw and other projects, Working on the ground will make you old before your time. Axle work stands are a move in the right direction.
I like Colt's work because he shows you how someone in a garage can get things done. Put him in a pro shop with all the goodies and gadgets...look out. Thanks for the video Robby and team from Texas.

Nice Rack!! May want some safety chains, just weld a section of chain & a hook next to the top of each post, to keep the axle on cradle.

Id go with deja blue mainly bc dory the explory doesnt really make sense for the name of a jeep if it was an explorer id definitely say fo with dory the explory.. but that bus is going to be super awesome an those axles seem like they will be perfect for the bus build..

For the adjustable support, weld a bottom to the screwed on part and tap the top holes, that way they can be used for front or back axles.
Still great design as is!

Addition to your axle stands, a shelf on the base to put tools and parts on as you remove them.
A rectangle shaped, removeable parts or tools tray made out of steel would be ideal to keep track of all of the parts, contain the oil mess and to carry them to cleanup, painting, the trash, whatever.
Good video!! I'm probably not going to remember all the set-up and tolerances for the ring and pinion BUT I'm glad to know that Colt is supervising. 😆 I think the bus build is going to be a super cool build! Can't wait to see the end result!!
Colt is going to forget he lives in New Mexico? But he needs to assist Robby in turning the bus for two wheel to four wheel drive.
One would hope he has some mechanical skills.

If you welded a nut into the upright and welded all thread or a bolt into your axle support cups then it would be fully adjustable and give you the ability to level it if you're narrowing an axle.
Good design. I like Paul's design since it's a table that can hold the axle, and all the parts being removed and installed. It works better in a small shop since it is versatile enough to do other duties when not working on axles.

You and the crew are amazing and love watching builds like this.
Maybe add some way to clamp the axle tubes so that you can set it at whatever angle you need when welding the mounts to the tubes.
