    Thank you so much for this. I was editing some interior photos and was having a devil of a time adjusting all the different color casts. This video was key in helping me eliminate them convincingly. Thank you!

    A much-needed video and one that I viewed but have not put into practice. Last week I shot a large white room with color cast for the hardwood floors and delivered something to the agent that I was not pleased with. That is how I came across this video for the second time. Thanks, Nathan!

    Hi Nathan, just dropped by to say that your videos offer the most value i have ever seen tutorial-wise, regarding photography, ESPECIALLY what interests me most, real estate. I sell real estate but im also a passionate photographer, and i have been for the last 13 years. Over the years i developed an eye for good taste and high quality images and i have to say, your techniques offer exactly what my imagination demands.

    Great stuff as always! I think this will be useful for when you get kitchen cabinets that turn out different shades of brown/orange from a can light being right above it. Going to try it out. Thanks!

    So fast! I only take photos for my own listings, so don't have the incentive to be faster (not getting paid by the shoot). Your tutorials give great tips and inspire me to work smarter and faster, as a result.

    Thanks, Nathan. I have to admit I was not aware of the degree to which color cast is present. Your examples show a clear difference. It seems that subtle adjustments work best for a large percentage of the post processing.

    Fantastic tips!! I shot a restaurant recently. When I got back home to my big screen I saw to my horror, the ugly red carpet they had on the floor caused a a red cast ruining the whole image. I tried all my tricks, apart from a small improvement the cast was still present. Basically the image was only fit for the trash can. I'll now try using your tips and let you know how I got on. Thanks for this video, it definitely provides a new aspect on the colour cast, which is a big pain. I have a few questions please: when you are brushing out yourself and the flashed ceiling, where is this 'new info' coming from? This 'new info' has no colour cast on correct? I presume you are not masking on another shot, because that would have colour cast as well?
    I am trying to understand the photography and editing process and that there are no steps missing, in case I try this on a project.
    Thanks again for your time and effort.

      Hi Gelly. Those techniques are covered in other videos, and in much more detail in my interiors book as well as the advanced editing book. I also provide remote, 1-on-1 training if you get stuck: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FF9HSR5?ref=series_rw_dp_labf

    A tip for many of us, simply slow the play speed on Utube and Nathan is easier to follow ! its a shame you can only like a video once as I have repeated so many and am on my second pass thru all 5 books which I suggest getting.

    Best color cast video I've found so far! Thanks so much!
    Do you have anything that addresses tungsten and florescent overlap color casts? I've been having trouble with the florescent areas turning teal and the best I've been able to do is minor tweaks with a whole bunch of color editor points using Capture One's advanced color editor.

      Thanks! If you expose your flash properly to avoid ambient artifacts then those issues go away. I have more on that in my interiors and lighting guides, here's a link to the series: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078NLRKNM?ref_=series_rw_dp_labf

    Thanks for the video! What if there is a non white ceiling fan or some other object on a white ceiling with a harsh color cast? Mask the fan, seems like a lot of work. What would you recommend? Oh and I just received your Business Tech book, look forward to reading it.

    Hello from New York City! Do you use color corrections gels like CTO or CTB? How do you deal with white balance? Do you use Auto white balance (AWB), custom or preset white balance? Thank you for informative video.

    Nathan HELP! No matter how many times I swipe me holding the speedlight, there was always a ghost of me remaining. I was at 100% flow, 100% opacity. I double clicked on my layer mask to make sure there wasn't something funky hiding in those settings like there was last time, but there wasn't. Can you tell me what would cause this? I should have been able to completely remove "me" just like you do. What am I doing wrong?? Thanks man!

    • @NathanCoolPhoto
      @NathanCoolPhoto  5 лет назад

      That's basically from an incorrect light placement, but it can be fixed. Here's a tutorial: ruclips.net/video/SyVGasvcl8E/видео.html and I have more info on my advanced editing e-book at www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0779PCVWC
