I believe anybody could become a real estate photographer with this guy as a teacher. Super educational. These are the videos we need more of on RUclips.
I am a true believer of your technique Nathan. I used to be an HDR shooter because I was under the illusion I could not learn the “flambient” method and that Photoshop was beyond me so I went with the easy method which was time consuming and the results awful at best. Your teaching skills are awesome for people of all skills and abilities. I bought your book which has been brilliant and my only other investment was a good wireless strobe which will be used in portraiture also. Thank you for sharing your skills. It used to be that photographers were tight lipped and never shared their knowledge with others. I’m a Nathan Cool convert😁
The hands down best video to get up to par on starting your real estate photography journey. I can't thank Nathan Cool enough for his amazing tutorials!
Just tested this method in my kitchen, worked a treat! Much easier than my usual method of shooting 5 bracketed images and gives a lovely clean result!
Nice job and clear explanation of your technique. I shoot a lot of interior and your videos helped me out speeding up my shootings and I’ve gotten better results.
Thanks, Nathan. I really appreciate you sharing your skills and expertise with us. AirBNB owner of 2 houses here and struggling to take good pictures of my properties.
Man this is perfect! I'm just starting with interior/real estate photography and i was looking for a tutorial like this!! Thanks a bunch and you got my quickest sub I've ever done
I haven’t worked as a photographer for many years now..... but you’ve shown me how to up my editing considerably. Now I have to go and shoot some images to practice on!
I've done some interior Real Estate photography in the past, but I mostly do outdoor drone shots. The indoor shots have just never been my strong suit, but I also want to expand my services to include the indoor shots as well. After watching several of your videos today I am even more convinced that I can actually do this. I've got a lot of learning to do, but I'm looking forward to getting your e-books and digging in. Thank you for being willing to share your incredible knowledge with the rest of us.
wow, I've watched so many videos on youtube over the last few weeks and this is literally the best one I've seen... maybe a helpful hint, add something about window interior/exterior exposure in the title because I had been searching for days on how to do just this and there wasn't much out there easy to find. awesome video!
I cannot thank you enough for this tutorial! This way of shooting looks so much better than just relying on HDR for every room. Thank you. You got a new subscriber and I got your book ❤
Great video. I've just started down this road. Educating myself on PS and ligthroom. Your videos I don't understand 100% yet, but getting there. Thank you.
Thanks for these videos! I'm intermediary when it comes to real estate photos. Use flashes, but not multiple frames. Going to start blending once I get a grasp on it, and I know your material will get me there!
Nathan, I bought all of your books to say thanks for all the great info! I can attest to the validity of the flambiant technique. I spent hours trying to get HDR to look natural and fix color balance issues, before trying your techniques.
Wow, I love this technique. I'm just getting into real estate photography and the HDR stuff is not my style. I started with digital painting in college, so this is very up my alley to add and subtract subjectively. Thanks for walking us through it
Pausing the video about halfway through to say thank you for this. It's been astronomically informative and helpful thus far. I was laid off from my new job 2 days into it cause of the stupid virus. Would love to be able to turn this new hobby into a career. Hopefully, I can figure out a way to get into this.
Nathan--I occasionally do shoots for my office and in the past have just relied primarily on bracketing. This last time out I went all-in on your method here with a speed light. Discovered halfway through that a reflecting umbrella also really helps for some rooms. It's been easier to edit the frames together than I thought, so thank you so much for these techniques! Struggling with some color casts in some areas but I'm sure I'll handle these better with more experience. Thanks!!
Fantastic video! I have watched so many YT tutorials in search of these exact tips. Looking forward to watching all of your other videos and putting these to practice. Thanks!
This is super helpful, thank you!! I'm about to head out to shoot my first flash+ambient house. I'm nervous! But I feel better about it after watching this 🙌
I've been mixing strobe & ambient my whole career. It works great for portraits but the HDR setting on my old 5dMkIII made me admittedly lazy about interiors. Alas, that camera's gone and I realize I need to up my game on interiors. Thank you Nathan. This is illuminating!
Thank you Nathan. Great video. Very well presented. I like to use the CamRanger with my set up so I don't have to touch the camera once I set it up. Appreciate you sharing knowledge.

I bought the books just to say thanks. This man has educated me more than 3 years in college.
