Do you abstain from your strength training a couple days prior to having your creatinine measured? As you know creatinine is a waste product of muscle breakdown. Are you familiar with Cystatin C? I have found it to be a much better indicator to calculate eGFR than creatinine. Amazingly, many doctors are not familiar with it. On the National Kidney Foundation website, there is a CKD calculator. You can use Creatinine or Cystatin C or both to calculate eGFR. Also it can take into consideration your age, gender, race and body weight to give you the best assessment of you kidney status. Congratulations on the improvements you have made with your health.

When you say you’re always hungry is that more of a longing for taste or do you actually feel under nourished?

Not undernourished but always craving food. I eat often and have a stable weight but the foods do not leave me feeling full for long.
