How to Replace the Fuel Tank: ruclips.net/video/3ZYsKafLL1Y/видео.html How to Repair Fuel Leaks by Vehicular DIY: ruclips.net/video/_spFo6MMAvM/видео.html
Extending the warranty is really a cheap way of addressing the problem. A fuel leak should be a safety issue replaced as a recall. But a recall requires redesigning the defective components and replacing all affected vehicles which cost much more.
I have been with lexus forever, but i have been eyeing a 24 or 25 m240i. I would want to keep it as long as possible, or at least 150k plus miles. Is that doable with good maintenance, or would that cost way to much down the road
Owner here of a BMW 4 series F36 440i... I recently received a recall letter for replacement of the driver's airbag which according to the alert says that the device that fills the airbag and in case of activation during an accident, could operate at a much higher pressure than normal causing the bag to explode and throw metal pieces towards the driver's face, causing a fatality. 🫤 I’m in Europe (Spain) Apparently many vehicles with this rounded airbag steering wheel are affected.
Off topic, sorry. I got a Black Friday offering from BMW. They offered all kind of options like active cruise control and heated seats. Some as a one time purchase but others as a monthly subscription. I’m only prepared to pay a subscription for a service that has monthly costs to the seller (eg updates on maps and remote services) If I’d wanted monthly payments, I would have done so when I bought the car (or got a lease contract). Am I alone in this regard? Please let me know what you all think. Tx!
Interesting.. I just went to test drive and potentially purchase a M240i and I never heard a single word about subscription and I asked quite a few questions in regards to.. everything, from heated seats/steering to the radio and it's features. Not sure if the app stuff is subscription or what. Anyways, I wasn't told about subscription anything but there definitely could be. I live in Canada(near Toronto), in case that's relevant.
@ Hi, I had only heard about the idea and had never seen any offer until I got that email. Here’s what was offered to me (even though most things aren’t even applicable to my car) - active cruise control €460 - adaptive M-suspension starts at €15.20/month - Apple CarPlay €240 - BMW Drive recorder €12/month - Iconic sounds sport €120 🤦♂️ - Driving assistant plus €34.40/month - High beam assistant €7.20/month - Map updates €71.20/ year - Parking assistant professional €17.60/month - Real time traffic information €55.20/year - Traffic camera information €53.60/year - Welcoming light animation starts at €47.20 It didn’t say to what cars this was applicable. Most options were installed from the factory on my 8 years old car without subscription except for the map updates and remote services in one package that costs me €89/year (not unreasonable imo). Just FYI. Good luck with your purchase! (No sarcasm😉, the M240i is a very nice car).

@kern417 Can you do a video on how to diagnose if the B58 intercooler is leaking internally?
Thank you for the videos. Good info. Also thank you for no background music, normal talking speed and no hype.

It’s better than ignoring the issue all together
I can see early F22 and F23 2-series are on the list too, not just 3 and 4 series
2:12 $1000? Do they perhaps sell tank filled with Dom Pérignon?
That’s a lot cheaper than I thought it would be. My boat’s was $2600
just got one for my 2017 f30 330ix b46, does this cause cel on?
You're doing gods work.

@@E99584 yes there are cars with over 200k now still running
@kern417 thanks a ton for the info. Is idling for too long actually a problem with b58 engines regarding the pcv system?
@@E99584 Idling a long time is bad for any car. The PCV diaphragm on the B58 takes like 20 minutes to replace.

I just got that letter for my 2018 bmw 340i.
I have gotten no letters. I bought mine new in 2019. 🤷♂️
Just as an FYI. Mainland Europe has the steering wheel on the left. It's only the UK & Ireland that has it on the right 🙂
And Japan
Japan, India and neighbouring countries, Australia and countries in the south of Africa (roughly).
@@TedsApex You're missing the point of my comment, but sure.
this guy's videos are like crack for me
Thanks for the information. Of course nothing for Europe, and they probably won't cover anything as always, but now we know the issue. 👍
Does this affect g20 330s?
@@Mtree40 only F series currently
Great info. My car is on the list.
