Up to 80% of women are vitamin d deficient so that's far more than 42%. I hate that they misrepresent this. AND, I reversed my PCOS with Vitamin D3 and a prenatal alone. (I'm on 2 other things also) And natural vitamin D isn't enough. One needs high levels in the beginning then level off to a maintenance dose. Combining it with a K2 (mk7) vitamin helps the body divert calcium into the bones. This is a fantastic video! You're 100% right about all of this. I've done the research and used myself as a guinea pig. As I said, I reversed my PCOS. We need more people like you out there.
I just love your videos!!!! Such powerful information, and your enthusiasm is phenomenal ... please don't ever stop giving us this extremely useful knowledge. You are so right about how crucial getting enough vitamin D is. Thank you so very much Dr. Axe. 💙💙💙💙💙
does taking Vit D3 10,000IU’s daily ok ??? I live in Minnesota and don’t get sun once the clock falls back an hour. I work nights, go to work at night and gets off still dark outside . so i basically don’t get sun in the winter time.
Thanks Dr. Axe. Vitamin D is so important for immune, hormonal, none and mental health. Most people will not be able to get enough sunlight to maintain sufficient levels of vitamin D. So supplementation will be necessary for most people. Especially the elderly, blacks and obese.
Hi what would cause you’re Vit D to be high and I’m not supplementing, and on a 24 hr urine test I have high Calcium and low sodium and low potassium ? Thank you

Hi, can you please make a video that teaches us what to take with Vit D like vitamin K2 the dosage Mila grams I have no idea how many Mg the dosage to be safe
I agree. You can find vitamin D3 with K at a lower mg dose but ask a physician, healthcoach, pharmacist for sure. But I can't always find that, and I have a health condition where I may need to be careful on the vitamin K so.... For now, I just take vitamin D3 along with foods with vitamin K as well as Iron rich (vitamin K helps absorb vitamin D3). Examples are foods rich in both but also vitamin K such as eggs (organic cage free are best) or spinach, etc.. (you can look up all foods rich in vitamin K). Take your supplements with these foods, I believe that can help.

Well this is not true in my personal observation . I have been monitoring mine for the past 4 years. It kept getting low over the years (goin back to 2012!) until it was below the reference. I started supplementing and tried to get more sun. It did go up very quickly, I tested about twice a year. it stayed about the same once I stopped supplementing.
@@sharlesb7735I was just listening to Dr Berg’s vitamin D presentation.👍 When I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s last year, my doctor scolded me for taking too much vitamin D; I was taking 5000u at the time. Not sure if these conventional doctors are just ignorant or they really want you sick.😢
Why do I get heart palpitations and insomnia with vitamin D? During covid, I took 5,000IU with vitamin K2. I didn't know it depleted magnesium. So I added magnesium with it. Always took it with fat (peanut butter, flax seed). I live in Minnesota levels were in 40's. On birth control, which I believe depletes magnesium. I tried one day recently of the D/k2/ mag and still had heart palpitations and insomnia. Why? Is the dose too high? I am a small person.
Might be why I always have issues with respiratory things, like if I get a cold it usually turns into a respiratory thing. Had double pneumonia a year ago and it was horrible!
Vitamin D deficiency causes a lot of problem. I have slight rashes all over my body especially my knee occasionally. Dry skin and acne. I thought it was a skin issue, so I went to the Dermatologist. He diagnoses me with eczema and prescribe me all of these creams. It was just a temporary fix and the problem comes back. I was so frustrated because I don't know what's wrong with me, so I went to my primary care doctor for a yearly annual checkup which is paid by my insurance through my employer and the result comes back and she said everything is fine, but your vitamin D is very low dangerously low. So, she prescribes me vitamin D 50,000 IU supplement for 3 months and I feel so much better. All of the skin symptoms I have is completely gone.
Ok, just had my D checked. It's too high at 136. I had no idea. I've had to stop D supplements. Anyone else have this issue? If so how did you remedy the situation?
That isn’t too high. It is extremely rare to have too much. Check out dr Eric berg, he talks about vit d, k2 and magnesium and how they work together, what they do and how much to take.
@@Mailman-c2h Thank for the reply. If you have a moment, could you let me know why you are not concerned. Or direct me to more information? My doctor said it was unhealthy.

Look into "pure nicotine", for weight loss. Dr. Ardis has a ton of information on this. "Pure" nicotine is a nutrient, not a drug.

Take a supplement, 10,000 iu per day with k2, d3 and k2, also magnesium, dr Eric berg has many talks on this.
